That's just not true. The numbers reported are positive CASES, not positive test results. One individual that tests positive is one positive CASE, even if they go get tested 3 times.
I'm in East Lansing too, I'd be open to some ideas. I've never gone to an Lansing Alumni club event, but I get their emails. I do know they do watch parties for at least the bigger games, if not all the games, but they probably don't schedule them until closer. In the past a lot of them have been at Champps in Eastwood. I'm sure someone that's involved in the Lansing club would be a lot more helpful.
I usually prefer to watch at home on the big screen, with some grilled or smoked meat.
'16 Ford Edge Sport with the eco boost twin turbo V6, puts out 315hp and 350 lb-ft torque. It's a fun ride, more than doubles the power of anything I've owned previously.
I would also vote for the XB1. Admittedly, Microsoft blew their reveal a year ago with restrictive, confusing, and backwards policies. The Xbox division is under new leadership now, and a lot seems to be changing for the better. Just since Phil Spencer took over earlier this year, they've gotten rid of the Gold paywall, and dropped the kinect (although I think the voice controls are great), and the focus seems to really be about the games now.
I agree with others that the graphical differences are only going to be apparent if you were to view them side by side. The XB1 is compatible with the upcoming DirectX 12 as well, which will further optimize performance.
One of the lesser known features that my friend and I are taking advantage of on the XB1 is the ability to game share with one other person. It does require exchanging our Microsoft account usernames, but after that initial login, any games I buy electronically, he can download and play (online, at the same time) and vice versa. So we split the cost of all of our games. I pretty much only play multiplayer, and we play all the same games, so it works out pretty well. If you have a friend you can do that with that may be a selling point, it's nice only paying $30 each for new releases.
I just looked into it a few days ago and it says you can watch games live that are airing on the BTN if you have a participating cable/satellite company.
I'm going to my brother's this weekend, and he doesn't have cable. I plan on logging in on my computer with my DirecTV account to stream the msu game live on Friday night.
If you don't have cable it's not going to be an alternative, unless you can borrow a friend's directv or Comcast login. Again I haven't tried it yet, I just researched it last week and that's my understanding of how it should work.
I have a 50" LG plasma. It's been an awesome TV and I would absolutely recommend it. But I do agree with you, it heats up my relatively small bedroom like a furnace.
Rather than clicking the link, "right click" on it and copy the link address, and then follow the instructions above to paste it in to the 'Open Network Stream' box on VLC.
If you don't have VLC player already on your Mac, you can download it here.
I've been to the Berrien County fair almost every year since I was old enough to go. I love cheese fries, and you can't beat a plain ol' korn dog. I catch the dmolition derby when I can, it's definitely a great time.
I have one through my Credit Union and I also have the Chase Amazon card. I would highly recommend the Chase Amazon card. There are no annual fees, and what better reward is there than Amazon gift cards? You get triple points on all Amazon purchases, double points on gas and stuff, and regular points on all other purchases. I use Amazon a lot, so it's the best option for me personally.
Edit: You don't redeem the points for gift cards, you apply the points directly to your Amazon purchases in the checkout at any time. That means you don't have to accumulate a certain number of points before you can redeem them.
I haven't bought NCAA since 11, so I figured I'd pick it up this year (especially for $45 on Amazon). I'll be picking up FIFA as well; that's the only sports game I get every single year.
I would love to pick up an older golf game or hockey game, but it annoys me to no end how EA shuts down their servers so quickly, not to mention the stupid online pass thing if you buy the game used.
I've been to KCMO once, and my friend took me to Jack Stack BBQ. I'm sure there are better BBQ places in town, but I thought this place was both very good an pretty reasonable.

I also have a Tax Law final to study for, in addition to an Equity final. But instead I'm enjoying the sun and catching up on some magazines I've let pile up.
I'm a second year law student at MSU. I also decided between Wayne State and MSU, they're both very similar in many respects. It came down to not wanting to live in Detroit, or live outside of Detroit and commute to school every day. MSU's rankings have been rising steadily, into the upper 80s this year, though I didn't check where Wayne falls on the list.
I've honestly enjoyed the experience thus far, and I would certainly do it again, but I've wanted to go to law school for a large portion of my life. Like everyone else has said, the job market sucks right now. I got a decent job last summer, but I'm still waiting on responses for this summer. I didn't get a summer associate position or anything, and I probably won't next year either. I will be graduating in a year with almost $200k in debt, between undergrad at UM and law school. Right now I feel like my best option financially is to join the military immediately upon graduation and put in twenty as a JAG Officer, an option I will be examining very closely over the summer.
If I was in your position, I don't know if I would leave a good paying job. But if you really want to do law school, MSU isn't a bad place to be.
This train goes right through my hometown of Niles, MI, so during my four years at UM I rode this train home and back at least 6 times a year. It was cheap, especially with a student advantage card, but it was always-at minimum-an hour late, typically more.
I worked at a District Court in Michigan over the summer, and I was surprised to see that, well over half of the time, the prelims that I had the opportunity to watch were waived. Also, doesn't the Prosecutor have the opportunity to demand that the prelim take place? I remember one prosecutor saying that, even if the defendant had waived the prelim, she would have gone ahead with it anyway because she had some pretty seriuos charges to add.
Either way, Sandusky waiving the prelim definitely doesn't seem out of the ordinary.
As soon as I discovered TuneIn radio for my android over the summer I started listening to WTKA every day at work. Then, after about a month or so, it started saying "station restricted by broadcaster" whenever I tried to bring up WTKA. I then switched to Detroit sports talk radio, and after about 2 weeks of problem free listening, it started doing the same thing. Never did figure out what was wrong, but it was maddening.
I noticed that as well...I was yelling at the tv, and couldn't believe that none of the officials or coaches noticed, even though it really didn't matter.
My brother in Grand Rapids felt it. I work in downtown Lansing at the state capitol complex, and neither I nor my coworkers felt it, but those in the building across the plaza did.
I suppose I should clarify; living in Okemos > commuting to Detroit for class every day. Most WSU law students, according to their Student Affairs office, drive 20-40 minutes to school each day from the surrounding suburbs, as decent housing nearby can be expensive/difficult to find. So in that regard, Okemos was more appealing than Detroit.
As far as MSU law ≥ Wayne, I guess it depends on who you ask. After doing a good deal of research, visiting both schools, and talking to alums, I got the impression that MSU was at least as good as Wayne, and continuing to Improve. MSU did have the highest Michigan Bar passage rate out of all the Michigan schools this past summer, fwiw. Plus, over half of my Professors this semester are Michigan and Michigan Law graduates themselves, so it can't be all bad, right?
Wish I could have done the same to my MSU Law letter. Unfortunately, I'm now a 1L at MSU. It's a daily reminder that I should have studied harder during my time at Michigan. I still consider it a private school that just shares the MSU name and resources, as do many others. I also tell myself that despite the 'MSU' name attached to it, it is still a decent school. Not everyone can get into Michigan Law, and for those that don't but want to stay in the state of Michigan, MSU Law ≥ Wayne State, and for me, Okemos > Detroit.
In the two games I've been to this season, I've been seated near the South endzone. On every occasion that I used the men's restroom there was always an incredibly long line to the upper level restroom in the south endzone...but literally right below there's another men's restroom that I've been always been able to get right in and right out at even the busiest times right before and right after the game. The lower restrooms seem like the way to go.
After graduating from Michigan, I'm now a first year law student at MSU. As difficult as it has been, I have limited my wearing of Michigan gear typically just to Fridays before a game. Granted, I usually don't go anywhere on campus except to the law school and back, but I've only been called out once for my Michigan apparel. This week, though, I plan to rock the Michigan gear every day.
Nothing would make me happier than kicking their ass this weekend, and watching sparty mope around campus for the rest of the fall. Go Blue!
I actually preferred the second one over the first one. The bosses weren't all that difficult, if I remember right, but I played through it co-op with a friend over Live, and it was really fun. I wish more games had good co-op play like GoW2.
I wanted something besides just a solid color Block M. I had seen this design with the wings inside of the M elsewhere, and I knew when I finally decided to get a tattoo 2 years ago that that's what I wanted.
Berrien Springs HS in Michigan, graduated in 06. We were consistently good in baseball, winning the state championship my senior year, and we were consistently pretty decent in track.
Basketball and football were really up and down. The basketball team made it to the state championship my senior year, but were only good-to-average my first three years. From what I hear, they are doing great this year and could potentially go pretty far.
Football was pretty much the same. We were knocked out early in the playoffs two different years while I was there, and we weren't even close the other two years. This past season, the team made a pretty decent run in the playoffs, but lost. So we were good every once in awhile, certainly not a consistent power-house.
I agree, Dale was the best professor I have ever had. I also went to him for help for future math classes. He was so helpful. Sadly, my sophomore year he left to teach at Carnegie Mellon.
I also really liked Tilman Borgers for Econ401. He is brilliant.

25 year old male, LSA class of 2010, 4 year MMB member, MSU Law class of 2013, still stuck in East Lansing.
...and I didn't even order one through Kickstarter. Is it 5 o'clock yet?

I'm also in Okemos, at least for another year. Surely there must be a decent number of us in the Lansing area.
Sorry, I was trying to post a reply to someone else.
