Bill Martin was right . . . his strategy of moving to a different model was accurate; he just didn't execute it well in his pick of RR. The Big 10 has been slow, plodding offenses and defenses just doesn't work in today's football. Line up our Big 10 teams against teams from the South and West and we will be spanked all day long. Michigan needs to get a coach from the South or West . . . the Best Coach and pay Alabama money to them to rectify the situation.

Common sense people . . . 1 year olds . . . just don't do it . . . a walk in their stroller in the a nearby park is a far more pleasureable experience. It's too loud, too hot, too much. To be honest, taking you kids into the Big House . . . I really think you have to be 10 years old or older to appreciate it. Now, when Michigan puts a Comerica park type carousel in . . . maybe that's when you could take a 5 year old. But, when I go to Comerica, it's never about the game. But, when I go to Michigan, it's all about the game. The experience is different and you have to figure out how that experience works for a kid . . .

Any mascot who takes down a buckeye is good by me. Great offensive series.

Yes, the Detroit Red Wings already did it. It happens to be my favorite sports hype video. It may never be matched. But, a Michigan version would be awesome. Take a look.

Look, I've worked in Downtown Detroit for 5 years before I left for TD in Dearborn. I live in Grosse Pointe Woods and traveled the east side and downtown for almost a decade. There is one very good reason to AVOID Detroit . . . that is crime. It's only getting worse and is pervasive in EVERY neighborhood. Here's the crime map, see for yourself. This is just reported crimes in the past week. http://www.crimemapping.com/map.aspx?aid=0c6c72dd-7122-4509-b897-17f60e517d9d
Do yourself a favor, save money and avoid the risk. You don't need it. You can always get into the city for events. Otherwise, there is NO reason to live there. And, if you do find yourself in the city often, get a concealed pistol license and learn how to shoot. Just be prepared.

Look me up when you get setup . . . we will go out to lunch and talk Michigan! FWIW, if I were young and could swing . . . I'd live in Ann Arbor. My wife really wants us to move to Ann Arbor from Grosse Pointe Woods . . . . I wish we could.
|2 years 15 weeks ago||Team Detroit?||
If you are, that's where I work. Awesome agency. Anyways, people in Dearborn live all over Metro Detroit. Ann Arbor is an easy drive to Dearborn. Grosse Pointe, closer but 94 cross town traffic isn't great. Same with Royal Oak. Probably all are equidistant. Personally, I wouldn't live in Detroit but I have a family. Michael
|3 years 48 weeks ago||I'm close to breaking . . . Big RR supporter until 4:00 PM Today||
I literally went from being a big RR supporter to meh! and apathetic about his future during this game today. Here's why:
We are 11 weeks into this season and they have regressed. MSU and Iowa didn't beat, WE BEAT OURSELVES FOR THE UMPTEENTH TIME.
Special Teams is a joke. How do you kick the ball out of bounds TWICE? How do you get more blcoked field goals than made field goals in a season? Take the schollies of our placekickers and send them out of here . . . THEY SUCK! They made the defense even worse than they already are. What is RROD and his assisntant doing . . . special teams is worse today than it was at the beginning of the year (except for Hagerup). How does this happen?
Defense. I'm not optmistic at all abou this defense this year or next year. They are slow, out of position, and can't hit. Two solid hits on receivers today . . . just two. They get run over, passed over. And it just doesn't get any better. At least, this D should be able to get to "below average" . . . but the Coaches can't bring the D and that's an indictment on the coaching staff.
Now I like offense as much as the next guy. BUT YOU GOT TO SCORE DAMMIT! Putting 520 yards up on Iowa doesn't win football games. How do you only generate 28 points on 520 yards. This is 2008/2009 all over again. A team can move up and down the field but doesn't get TDs. Why are committing penalties and turning the ball over repeatedly. And the coaches don't do a darn thing about it. What is the coaching staff doing? Pull these guys off the field when they do stupid stuff. Sittem, makem run in practice, carry a freaken ball around campus all day . . . I don't care. But's don't give this BS about young, inexperience players. This offense has a year and half playing together, 19 games together and we don't score TDs on good teams.
So, I'm ticked and I'm pretty darn close to breaking. I don't if these coaches can develop talent. I think this staff and RRod is to stubborn to succeed here. And, we cannot continue to lose home games against good competition where we self destruct. We are the Detroit Lions of the Big 10. And, this has to end, one way or another. If RRod pulls the team together and wins 3. Great. If he only wins one, I want him and his staff issued bus tickets out of town.

I'd like to see the Michigan Men take away his degree and pound him for a couple of days. He's a liar, cheater, thief, and just no good.

Usually 5, 10, 25 years class reunions for different schools held throughout Ann Arbor on Friday nights.

I've tried a couple of times to get in there and it's been closed every time.
|3 years 49 weeks ago||Hope he has a long career - and comes back as RB coach||
I love Hart and what he brings to the game. He's a leader. He will put a team on his back and help them win. He will also be a great coach someday.
|3 years 49 weeks ago||Clarify: Since 2007, few playmakers||
Let me be more specific:
Since 2007, Michigan hasn't had the playmakers. Admittedly, there was talent on 2007 that didn't show up for whatever reason. But, honestly, Denard is the closest thing to a playmaker that we've had since C. Woodson. I hope Dee is in this mode. We need guys that can take it to take it to the house, make the big catch, sack the QB, swat down the pass, and block that kick. These are the guys that are required to win games. There are still too few playmakers on this Michigan team. The offense had a tough time yesterday - people were out sync and Denard tightened up and forced throws. If he had an additional playmaker on the offense and the D had a shut down corner and an "in the face" DE, we'd be right there. We are still 4-6 starters away from competing with the top of the Bg 10.
|3 years 49 weeks ago||I'll take Dee over this MSU game right now!||
I have to go against the grain. I know its important to win. That said, I'm taking a program-level type perspective here that spans multiple seasons. Honestly, if we are going to beat Alabama in 2012, we need players on both side of the ball. Dee is an important piece. Let's face it, as a program, we haven't had playmakers. Denard and Dee are playmakers. Now, we just need playmakers on the D.
|3 years 50 weeks ago||If you have slingbox - go, otherwise stay home.||
If you can watch the game, with a slingbox and a cellphone, you can go. Otherwise, stay home and enjoy the Michgan game. Michigan is appointment viewing. If you do not have a slingbox, You can only visit other stadiums on bye weeks or other times that would not interfere with Michigan games. GO BLUE!
|3 years 50 weeks ago||Fanvision: I like but two issues||
I sat next to a guy with Fanvision at the UConn game. Generally, I like the service. The replays are good and the ability to get another game or two is a bonus. That said, I'm not sure I'd be buying the device and signing up the for the service due to cost. $200 is a little steep (rather, I'd just like to be able to use my iPhone). Plus, according to their website, you can't just use it at other stadiums, you have to subscribe (I think, but don't quote me, $9 bucks a game at other stadiums). Also, I'm not sure how this device does in the rain. If I was in the suite or covered, there would be no issue. But, if it works like other phones and electronic devices, rain is bad. So, as much as I like it, I don't think I'll get one for quite a while.

Trust me, it's the best solution. I bought slingbox just for weddings. Now, I even can slingbox when I'm in my den - no TV needed as I just put it up on the 2nd monitors.

Have to agree with other comments; you read it backwards. Michigan has the 28 points. Do you have dyslexia?

The Lions haven't helped it; but I've always been a bigger college and Michigan fan over NFL.
|3 years 51 weeks ago||Agreed! Stanford in Rose Bowl||
Why? Obviously, we'd have a great year, 1 or 2 losses max. Potential Big 10 Championship. And, the storyline of going up against JH in a BIG bowl game.
