Sorry, still not over the football game. Seeing this article puts me over the edge. What ever this is . . . curse, hex, evil joke. . . . I want it all to go away. Why can't my Michigan teams win an important game, an important race.

MBA at Ross makes sense at nearly every level. The breadth of courses and the networking abiltiy is beneficial immediately . . . but, what it can do in terms of helping your 10-25 years down the road is amazing. A decade later and I have flexibility in terms of what I want to do and when I want to do it . . . There are more benefits than the money . . . All that said, if you are going MBA, go Top 10 otherwise, the justification get's fuzzier.
|1 year 7 weeks ago||Ross MBA #'s||
IMO, those Ross numbers on the income side are probably skewed downward a bit; a good chunk of us Ross Alums do willingly stay in Michigan. Starting salaries in Michigan are a tad lower than elsewhere; but, the low cost of living and relatively high salaries Post-MBA make it tough to leave Michigan. An MBA should be considered an investment . . . but recognize that 500-1000 a month payments for 30 years isn't fun. Still, I'd do it all over again . . . Ross has been great!

I work in Dearborn and live in Grosse Pointe Woods. We do love it here. Great schools, homes with character, great City Park on water with a crazy pool. There are also plenty of places to eat and drink. If you love the water, hang out at the marina bars and take in the Nautical Mile in St. Clair Shores (9 mile and Jefferson). And, you can do running and biking along Lakeshore. And, the schools are great. Yes, You can get the house you want for $180,000 or less. 1500 sq feet, 3 bedrooms, 1.5 baths. Look in the area just east of I-94, west of Mack, South of Vernier, North of Moross. Just be careful to avoid Harper Woods (unless you want the same house for a lot lower price . . . those make great rental properties but not so if you plan to own a home). And, keep in touch as I might put my house for rent as I'm in a process to potentially move to Seattle. Good Luck.

Something has happened in the last 20 years. I was not a frat brother; but, I had many friends and went to many parties. There were always things going on . . . but, this generation doesn't seem to be able to handle Greek life. Are kids really that immature now? What happened to conducting yourself with class or, at the very least, not harming property and life>
Where is the respect for elders, property, humanity? It is very scary that some of the most educated people in our society, the ones going to school and these frats, have seemingly lost their minds. If frats con't be the valuable, caring institutions that they portend to be, then they've outlived their usefulness and should be shut down. And, that would be a shame.

Ford Field is a great place to watch a Lions or NFL game. And, the crowd is usually pretty good. I wish I could attend . . . Should be fun. And, that's a great, cheap way to watch a pro game.

Bankruptcy is probably the main thing. Now that the process is over and there is some semblance leadership at City Hall, you might see them go after the final. But, the Wings stadium will surely be a big draw for those two rounds.

Bill Martin was right . . . his strategy of moving to a different model was accurate; he just didn't execute it well in his pick of RR. The Big 10 has been slow, plodding offenses and defenses just doesn't work in today's football. Line up our Big 10 teams against teams from the South and West and we will be spanked all day long. Michigan needs to get a coach from the South or West . . . the Best Coach and pay Alabama money to them to rectify the situation.

Common sense people . . . 1 year olds . . . just don't do it . . . a walk in their stroller in the a nearby park is a far more pleasureable experience. It's too loud, too hot, too much. To be honest, taking you kids into the Big House . . . I really think you have to be 10 years old or older to appreciate it. Now, when Michigan puts a Comerica park type carousel in . . . maybe that's when you could take a 5 year old. But, when I go to Comerica, it's never about the game. But, when I go to Michigan, it's all about the game. The experience is different and you have to figure out how that experience works for a kid . . .

Look, I've worked in Downtown Detroit for 5 years before I left for TD in Dearborn. I live in Grosse Pointe Woods and traveled the east side and downtown for almost a decade. There is one very good reason to AVOID Detroit . . . that is crime. It's only getting worse and is pervasive in EVERY neighborhood. Here's the crime map, see for yourself. This is just reported crimes in the past week. http://www.crimemapping.com/map.aspx?aid=0c6c72dd-7122-4509-b897-17f60e517d9d
Do yourself a favor, save money and avoid the risk. You don't need it. You can always get into the city for events. Otherwise, there is NO reason to live there. And, if you do find yourself in the city often, get a concealed pistol license and learn how to shoot. Just be prepared.

If you are, that's where I work. Awesome agency. Anyways, people in Dearborn live all over Metro Detroit. Ann Arbor is an easy drive to Dearborn. Grosse Pointe, closer but 94 cross town traffic isn't great. Same with Royal Oak. Probably all are equidistant. Personally, I wouldn't live in Detroit but I have a family. Michael
|5 years 41 weeks ago||I'm close to breaking . . . Big RR supporter until 4:00 PM Today||
I literally went from being a big RR supporter to meh! and apathetic about his future during this game today. Here's why:
We are 11 weeks into this season and they have regressed. MSU and Iowa didn't beat, WE BEAT OURSELVES FOR THE UMPTEENTH TIME.
Special Teams is a joke. How do you kick the ball out of bounds TWICE? How do you get more blcoked field goals than made field goals in a season? Take the schollies of our placekickers and send them out of here . . . THEY SUCK! They made the defense even worse than they already are. What is RROD and his assisntant doing . . . special teams is worse today than it was at the beginning of the year (except for Hagerup). How does this happen?
Defense. I'm not optmistic at all abou this defense this year or next year. They are slow, out of position, and can't hit. Two solid hits on receivers today . . . just two. They get run over, passed over. And it just doesn't get any better. At least, this D should be able to get to "below average" . . . but the Coaches can't bring the D and that's an indictment on the coaching staff.
Now I like offense as much as the next guy. BUT YOU GOT TO SCORE DAMMIT! Putting 520 yards up on Iowa doesn't win football games. How do you only generate 28 points on 520 yards. This is 2008/2009 all over again. A team can move up and down the field but doesn't get TDs. Why are committing penalties and turning the ball over repeatedly. And the coaches don't do a darn thing about it. What is the coaching staff doing? Pull these guys off the field when they do stupid stuff. Sittem, makem run in practice, carry a freaken ball around campus all day . . . I don't care. But's don't give this BS about young, inexperience players. This offense has a year and half playing together, 19 games together and we don't score TDs on good teams.
So, I'm ticked and I'm pretty darn close to breaking. I don't if these coaches can develop talent. I think this staff and RRod is to stubborn to succeed here. And, we cannot continue to lose home games against good competition where we self destruct. We are the Detroit Lions of the Big 10. And, this has to end, one way or another. If RRod pulls the team together and wins 3. Great. If he only wins one, I want him and his staff issued bus tickets out of town.

|5 years 42 weeks ago||Clarify: Since 2007, few playmakers||
Let me be more specific:
Since 2007, Michigan hasn't had the playmakers. Admittedly, there was talent on 2007 that didn't show up for whatever reason. But, honestly, Denard is the closest thing to a playmaker that we've had since C. Woodson. I hope Dee is in this mode. We need guys that can take it to take it to the house, make the big catch, sack the QB, swat down the pass, and block that kick. These are the guys that are required to win games. There are still too few playmakers on this Michigan team. The offense had a tough time yesterday - people were out sync and Denard tightened up and forced throws. If he had an additional playmaker on the offense and the D had a shut down corner and an "in the face" DE, we'd be right there. We are still 4-6 starters away from competing with the top of the Bg 10.
