Even though 60 is the new 40, many of the above over 60 years old may not want to take on the responsibilities of a highly visible college president when they are on the cusp of retirement. Likewise, the U-M regents may want a candidate who is "young" enough to serve at least two terms.
That leaves Marvin Krislov, Evan Caminker, Martha Pollack, Phil Hanlon, Arne Duncan, Rick Snyder, Dave Brandon, and James Hilton.

Henson could have blown a knee (John Wangler), broken an arm (John Harbaugh), torn his labrum (Matt Gutierrez), injured an ulner nerve (Denard), etc. A team can't count on any player to remain heathly throughout his career - especially a QB who is a prime target of opposing defenses. |

Kiffin may have saved his 2013 recruiting class by delaying Polamaly's termination until after NSD, but he also exposed his ethics to future recruits. His short-term gain this year will serve as a warning to future recruits and give competing coaches a weapon to use against Kiffin in future recruiting. Rather than hoping Kiffin gets fired, we should hope that he stays at USC and runs their program further into the ground. As for Ty Isaac and Leon McQuay, they made their choices. Had Isaac committed to Michigan, we probably would not have gotten Derrick Green. A committment from Leon McQuay would have been nice but we still have good depth and talent at safety without him. Let's move on and focus on those choose Michigan! |

I second this. It is better for Fitz to fully recover so that he doesn't suffer permanent damage from trying to come back too soon. His next 50 or 60 years are more important than the 2013 season. |

Wilton Speight will be 19 years old when he enrolls. He was granted an extra year of eiligibility in HS because be broke his collarbone in September of his true junior year. He is the same age as Shane Morris and would be been in the 2013 recruiting class without the extra year of eligibility. In Wilton Speight, we will be getting a 2014 recruiting class QB that is a year more mature physically than most other QB's in the 2014 class.
