| 6 hours 48 min ago | Did we? |
I'm not sure I wouldn't rather have Kemba Walker or Klay Thompson over Knight at this point. |
| 6 hours 53 min ago | Should you really get that |
Should you really get that excited over getting the #1 instead of #2 pick in this draft? |
| 6 hours 57 min ago | And the Pistons get bumped down.... |
And they "won" the coin flip with Washington. The only time they catch a lottery break...Darko. Sigh. |
| 7 hours 1 min ago | Yeah, and something like 8 of 12 or something. |
I was watching them go from tied for the coin flip for the 3rd pot to a coin flip for the 7th. Just like 2012. And 2011. And 2010. And 2009.... |
| 7 hours 4 min ago | New Jersey sucks!!!! |
Oh, sorry, wrong thread.... |
| 7 hours 7 min ago | This is hilarious |
Considering your username. |
| 10 hours 47 min ago | Nothing wrong with posting this, now or later. |
It just needs a break in it somewhere so it's not pushing ALL the content off the front page. I only brought up the Borges one because that sucker should be top paged for awhile. But even the other stuff, though it shouldn't stay above this, probably doesn't need to be shoved out of sight either. I try and make no judgement on content. Love it or hate it I can read it or not. But I will make formatting suggestions. |
| 11 hours 6 min ago | You mean you don't want to see |
One of those MAC teams have to come up north and play in the cold? Oh, wait.... |
| 11 hours 10 min ago | There's no "read more" break for this |
But there is for the Borges interview? I think we've mistaken what should be pushed down the front page or not. |
| 12 hours 45 min ago | Wow, you're in trouble if she's already listening to Fergie | |
| 12 hours 59 min ago | That's interesting... |
Those football preview magazines all had recruiting class rankings in them, right? So for all those years before 2003 I wonder if people could pull out their old issues and compile them. I probably have some of them in a box somewhere. hmmmmm... |
| 13 hours 3 min ago | Yeah, I'm confused... |
Does this mean we can't make fun of THIS anymore?
|
| 13 hours 20 min ago | If by "destroyed" |
(Lloyd Carr winning pecentage .753) you mean "improved" (Michigan all time .735), then yes, you are correct. |
| 14 hours 35 min ago | So do those that need to stop being "Francises" |
Or do these people need to stop being "Nancy's" about points that don't matter?
Seems some can be overly sensitive but others should tough it out. Which is it? What did the post you are responding to add to the coversation? Did it really give any analysis of the situation? Did it bring up specific questions that could be integrated into the piece? Did it have anything to really do with the topic, or was it just an off-hand shot? You can question playcalls, and strategies and such, and if you do it intelligently, you'll usually get rewarded for it. If you're just "ARRGGGHHH FIRE XXXX" you deserve to be dismissed. Two posts that originally started this conversation, one negged, the other maxed out, really due to tone, not views. And as someone who was the one of the leaders of "don't criticize the old regime" I'd think you'd be sensitive to knowing what the right way and the wrong way to go about making these points are. |
| 14 hours 56 min ago | So you're saying sophomore year |
Heisman? |
| 14 hours 57 min ago | I think they were kidding |
As one can tell from the poll with only one answer to choose from:
POLLIs Pat Fitzgerald paying recruits?
VOTE
101 TOTAL VOTES But it is kinda funny that it would come from what is traditionally the most corrupt school in the Big Ten.

| 15 hours 10 min ago | After that Purdue comeback |
We basically adjusted to the passing spread and they never really gave us any problems with it anymore, unlike Northwestern. Having that Brees guy might have had something to do with it too. I wonder what happened to him....? |
| 1 day 4 hours ago | They thought they could get them to pass on Mahorn too. |
They were working on a trade with the T-Wolves but it fell through. They thought that with Dantley gone Edwards was their only real low post threat. (Plus losing one of the Bad Boys certainly made them think they'd get a more favorable whistle). It ended up being a mistake because Mahorn ending up playing longer than just about any of them. They were really penalized for winning with depth, something no other champion has had to face. Next time they did expansion Mhorn would have been protected. |

Raback it? |
| 1 day 5 hours ago | This is something newspapers and the like could NEVER do. |
And while I COMPLETELY understand Brian's desire for distance, objectivity, all while keeping the soul of a fan, now that he has a team this is an untapped area that could really be valued added to the site. It can really serve both sides in that it helps us all to better understand what they do, and why they do it. They make big bucks, are subject to public criticism, and some are better at their job than others. And while it's football, not rocket science, so they can help us understand, it's also a lot more work than people comprehend. And while head coaches at major programs are making small company money, there are a lot of guys on down not making big bucks, from the Mannings to the GAs to video guys and trainers and academics that are putting in ridiculous hours too. |
| 1 day 5 hours ago | Most of the TV film |
Is of other teams gotten during the season and from the previous season (particularly early). For your own game the tv is reordered, but they really don't have many better angles than your video crew. Your team cameras are in the press box right by the tv ones, and you have the end zone cameras too. And the tv does ll these close up angles that don't help, where as the video guys usually get the whole picture. But every game you play as well as teams you are going to play are recorded. Because video exchanges sometimes go like spy exchanges. The video is usually broken down the night of the game, if not sooner. Someone on the video staff will even sometimes do things like drive back from Notre Dame at halftime to start breaking down first half film. Obviously you can't do this @Nebraska or the like. I'm sure there are times they take it all in, but I'd guess far more in the off-season or maybe during a bye week. There's only so much time in a game week and they can only work 20 hour days, not 26. |
| 1 day 5 hours ago | STOP IT AL, STOP IT!! |
Stop staring into my soul....!! |
| 1 day 5 hours ago | This. |
Sometimes I'm away from the radio, or on the computer, or watching something on the dvr, and I'll check in just to see if there's been any news or a commit or something, and I will see it here first, and it lets me check the news and see what's going on. And there are many eyes across the country who can find different news sources. It's not only sad; it's news. And more than OT appropriate. |
| 1 day 5 hours ago | Easy to fix. |
Just +1 them all and they go away and his childish pleasure is gone. |
| 1 day 5 hours ago | See, if I see this kind of thing |
I'm getting into a fight. It may just be verbal, but I'm calling this douchebag out and telling him to leave the kid alone. Shane's family needs to be nice; I don't. |
| 1 day 10 hours ago | All true. |
And part of it was he bogged down the offense. He was their low post threat, but he was also a black hole. And at the time guys like Dumars were improving and getting better, and Rodman was demanding more minutes (not for offense). Mark came in and because he was Isiah's buddy even though he was a big time scorer in Dallas he didn't want to screw things up. So he gave them the scoring, but didn't demand the touches, and passed better than Dantley (and more frequently). |
| 1 day 11 hours ago | And they both went home that year |
Losers. |
| 1 day 11 hours ago | Please, if you're using youth as an excuse |
By 1991 the Pistons were old and breaking down. You also forgot the 1988 "shellacking." Those teams head to head it was 3-1 in the Pistons favor. That team wasn't more talented. They were Jordan and head case Pippen and a bunch of interchangable guys....until they added Rodman (who along with Salley was drafted in 1986). The Bulls were just mad because the only team that ever owned them was the Pistons. They won 6 titles, but when the League wasn't as good as the Big East. They just lucked out by being the youngest of those teams. If the Pistons, Celtics, Lakers, or even the Sixers (if they had been a LOT younger) was the youngest team coming out of the 80's they would have all won a lot more championships too. But they all had to play each other. The Bulls didn't have to play anybody. |
| 1 day 12 hours ago | Anyone who is going to play the position.... |
Should watch film of McHale and his post moves. He had a million of them, and any player would be better by adopting some of them. Plus how you could you ever hate this guy....?
Now Ainge, on the other hand... |
| 1 day 12 hours ago | Bird being right |
Doesn't mean Isiah was wrong. |
