2 hours 4 min ago Where were you

After the spring game?

11 hours 42 min ago Simple mistake in wording, not a big correction.

I just couldn't tell if it was just that, or you were messing with people's minds to see if anyone would catch on.  Because you can be funny like that too.

11 hours 57 min ago You're on the list.

Right after Terrelle Pryor.

11 hours 59 min ago So, I take it

12 hours 3 min ago I KNOW, I KNOW....

12 hours 5 min ago No one wants to update it

Because no one is sure if there's even going to be a Hall of Fame after the site revamp.

12 hours 36 min ago How about cheating on your wife with a co-ed?

(allegedly)

12 hours 44 min ago Back to the topic

Zimmerman is at the top of my dream wish list.  Not that I need convincing that big men can come here and thrive, but it'd be nice to show recruits that you don't have to be in puppy love to want to come here. I mean, with the track record of point guards we're having, can you think of any PG recruits who won't at least think about coming to Michigan?  We show that Mitch isn't unique and get a nice train of top big guys to go with all the wing players that excel in our system, and the sky's the limit.

12 hours 47 min ago I can never tell how serious you are

But while there's some debate on how common a name it was before it, it certainly came from the play/book Peter Pan by JM Barrie did before Disney was around to make it a movie.  Though it's commonly believed that Barrie popularized it, if not actually outright created it.

13 hours 10 min ago I mean, isn't the one Swon Brother

Known as the "Scream face guy" over his actual name (which I couldn't tell you if you paid me)?

13 hours 15 min ago You are correct.

From the AA.com article linked above:

Theo Katzman, who was in the earliest incarnation of My Dear Disco, before it went from a seven-piece to a five-piece band, agreed. “The secret to Michelle's success is that she has the rare ability to be emotionally completely honest, and she can channel that emotion and honesty through her voice,” he said. “She's a deeply moving performer, but unlike most performers, she's not putting on an act. What the audience is seeing is 100 percent real Michelle, and I think people are incredibly moved by the palpable sense of humanity and honesty that they experience when they watch her sing. Also, she's a monster vocalist with a unique sound, and that's rare in itself. “I have no idea what the future holds for her, particularly if she wins ‘The Voice,’ but if she doesn't, I imagine that several people in the industry will try to snatch her up with a label contract of some kind,” he added. “Either way, I've always known Michelle to be someone who follows her dreams, no matter what, and I'm sure she'll be fine. She's one of the greatest humans I know.”

1 day 6 hours ago They're all more fun than you'd think.

But the softball game is a great atmosphere. I confess I miss the outfield "field" where you could sit and picnic and bring a dog or kids. But a first class program deserved a first class stadium.

1 day 8 hours ago Love that they used the Once Upon a Time in the West music...

It kinda dragged, and it needed more of a story. If they had started it with gunslingers representing the other PAC-12 schools kicking him out of the bar, then rounding up his coaching posse to come back and stand off against them, with some sort of to be continued this fall thing, it might have been more entertaining.  Something to signify how they're going to kick ass and take names, rather than just standing around in a bar, and going into cool poses. (Is there a reason they're throwing each other out of bars and rolling them down the bar?)

1 day 9 hours ago NO FREEP CONTENT!!!!!

¯\_(ツ)_/¯

2 days 1 hour ago That was an interesting article.

Some of the things he points out were great (18,000 years of Kryptonian Tech), and others are selective memory (you can object to killing Zod but pointing to Superman 2 where he kills two of the three himself isn't really a good counter). But nice fodder for thought.

2 days 1 hour ago It wasn't as great as all that or as bad as all that.

It wasn't anywhere near the greatest battle movie of all time. It wouldn't even rank.

It also wasn't a bad Superman film. It had some script problems, and a few questionable decisions, but had great casting and acting...and too much action? Everyone was complaining that the last one didn't have enough super action, I liken it to a Batman Begins, or even a Spider-man or X-Men 1, where it's a solid superhero flick, but set up for a kick-ass sequel now that the set-up is out of the way, and we can get more in-depth.

2 days 1 hour ago Faora.

And it's actually her from the comics that Ursa was based on.

And remember, this is a world that thinks a pair of glasses is an effective disguise.

2 days 2 hours ago DC has almost zero say

In what Warner Brothers, who owns them, does ith their properties. They don't make their own movies like Marvel.

2 days 2 hours ago But what makes them better than good men

And super heroes is they find a way to not reduce themselves to their enemies tactics, and find a way to succeed without killing. (Like they could have in the movie). Bruce Wayne saw his family gunned down, so he never wants anyone else to be subjected to that. To have no other method than to kill is to have failed. Not doing so is what makes them better than us. Something to aspire to.

However the movie didn't bother me that much because you can see how much he agonizes over having to make that decision. Even if the majority of the crowd who cheered him doing it in the theater didn't get it.

2 days 2 hours ago Not true.

Zod first appeared in Adventure Comics in 1961.

2 days 2 hours ago Chris Evans was born in the US.

Wolverine wasn't American anyway.

4 days 9 hours ago Well, just have to see who slides.

Maybe it's Burke. Maybe it's a guy like Oladipo. Maybe it's neither or none of them and the Pistons are just screwed.

4 days 9 hours ago Not so far off.

Lindsey was the 10th overall pick. In a hell of a lot better draft.

4 days 9 hours ago Fred Jackson, NBA Scout.

Fred Jackson, NBA Scout.

4 days 9 hours ago Manuscript after Manuscript....

I.e. and e.g. are both abbreviations for Latin terms. I.e. stands for id est and means roughly "that is." E.g. stands for exempli gratia, which means “for example.”

4 days 9 hours ago I wouldn't mind drafting him at all.

But let's not get crazy and heap unrealistic expectations on him so he's doomed to fall short. Zeke was one of the top 20 basketball players of all time. I think Burke could be a good starter, but I'm not putting him into the Hall of Fame just yet.
