I'm sure the debt-saddled Maryland athletic department wouldn't mind a big payout from the conference in exchange for moving the game to a venue outside of the affected area. Say, Ann Arbor...
(No, I don't actually think this has a chance of happening.)

They're already starting to turn on him because he has only won the National Championship once so far.
Kentucky basketball fans are a special brand of delusional.

Having lived in Utah, I'm not terribly surprised. No one covers a cesspool of behavior with a thin veneer of piety like BYU.

There was a story a few years back. Allegedly one of the young ladies he took home one night awoke the following morning and found him in his living room (possibly naked) watching highlights of himself while yelling "YEAH JEETS, YEAH JEETS,"

It's a very sad day for Yankees fans. He was the last living legend from the golden era of the team from the late 1949s to the early 1960s. What an incredible life and career he had.

Sure, but Carroll was getting out of town just before the NCAA dropped the hammer on USC. I'm not sure he would have left otherwise, as he had turned down multiple NFL offers during his USC tenure.

Oh man, and they play Kansas during Flood's suspension. That is going to be must-see TV.

Good thing he only punched that man's twig and berries, if he'd lovingly caressed them he would have been kicked out of school.

It wasn't just the students, I was over in the southwest corner and Michigan fans were getting loud when we were on offense as well.

I was in middle school. A few teachers had heard what happened and turned on their classroom TVs. That lasted for about 20 minutes until our principal unplugged the main cable connection and decided to pretend that nothing was amiss. Of course, that made things way worse because then the rumors started flying, some of which turned out to be true. Weird day.

A friend of mine has a recording of The Victors being played by the MMB under the direction of Wilfred Wilson, so it's from sometime between 1915 and 1926. I believe it's the oldest known recording of the MMB playing The Victors.

If a couple of sections botching their marching formation is grounds for suspension, then a lot of band directors nationwide should be serving similar suspensions this season.
I 100% believe that the formation is the Enterprise and I 100% believe that the students who were to form the engineering hull unintentionally screwed up their intended shape.
I'll bet in future that the Kansas State band spends a lot more time doing "how to guide a line" lessons.

One of the things that's well-chronicled in the book is Brandon's bad relationship with the lettermen. Why did he have such an adversarial relationship with the lettermen, especially considering he is one? Was his own disappointment in his playing career a contributing factor?

It's also not new. People have been spelling it that way on this site and others since he was thinking about transferring here. I think I've even seen a few Iowa fans spell it like that recently.
But you're right, people are dumb and then they build tendencies. People still type "Charlie Weiss" long after they should know better.

An old work buddy and Utah alum from when I lived in Utah texted me a few days ago saying he was seeing Michigan fans everywhere. I think we'll have a good turnout tonight.

Barnes and Noble on Washtenaw had it on Friday so I picked it up then, finished it Sunday morning. It's quite good. Even better than Three and Out and with a better ending.

Also in Park City is High West. Utah's first distillery since the late 19th century. Their food is really good and they distill all of their liquor in house (though they are opening a larger facility a few miles outside of town). If you like whiskey, as they say in Utah "this is the place."

I finished Endzone today, and I thought it was great. As compelling as Three and Out but with a much more optimistic ending. My only disappointment was with the amount of typographical errors that are in it, which I think is more on the publisher than on Bacon. The content is fantastic.

If we end up with more than two viable options at running back, and with Isaac's pass-catching ability, someone needs to make sure Harbaugh sees this film.

No, that was Kaelin Clay. A few weeks after doing the Heisman pose in Michigan Stadium, he did this against Oregon:
Which Oregon picked up and returned for a game-tying touchdown.

The MMB has gone before in the '90s and early '00s, but since then Penn State has been reluctant to allocate the space in the stadium the MMB would need. They don't want to seat them on the sideline and they would rather sell tickets for the seats in the stands that the MMB would sit in.

In the old days under Carr the submarine was called Fort Schembechler and I don't remember the local media comlaining about it a quarter as much.
Look, I understand that it makes their jobs more difficult but it's not like they won't have plenty to talk about once the season starts. And they had a whole summer of articles to write about satellite camps, Parisian vacations, and all sorts of other things. I don't think four weeks of silence from South Campus is going to make all the media outlets in the area lay off their sports staffs.
