Going to Iowa scares me. We have never had an easy time there, going all the way back to Bo's days.

IMG is weird in that it is a total bubble from reality, yet at the same time it is a grounding experience for an athlete.
Moses is not going to empty out the entire "school" at IMG just to fill the gym to see him pick a school. They are all big-time athletes there. He's not a God walking the halls among mere mortals.

Yeah, watch the video. They have been hounding him since he has been in 8th grade. He needed to be able to breathe.

The way our D-Line rotation is set up, the difference between starting and not starting is barely noticeable. He'll play meaningful downs.

Yes, we all assumed that he was going to be passsed by. But he kept hanging around and getting better and better. Good to see it.
I hated the idea of a guy we took away from OSU that they really wanted never amounting to anything.

That hard-to-get stuff only works when you are really hot.
But the way 2016 is shaping up, we will be!
I say make him beg for it.

That will be like a 45 minute video.
And messy. Very messy.

But we did indeed pull some good players out of LA and TX in the past . . . but only when the local programs were down.

When you are from the SEC, everything looks dirty.
It's a Pavlovian response to any and all stimuli for them at this point.

He just wants to hook up with all the hot chicks in the office. While it's flattering to be considered one of those, he's made it clear in word and deed that he's into southern bimbos.
That's not us and it never will be, nor does it need to be.
Maybe if we are bored and have nothing better to do, we'll give him a call. Maybe we won't.

It will probably take a National Championship and beating Alabama along the way...
You make it sound like it's a bad thing.

Harbaugh will give you an offer only if and when he is damn good and ready to give you an offer, young man.
#1 recruits ain't no thang to Harbaugh.

Distance adds mystique.
If I'm a recruit from the south, I want an offer from Michigan and Oregon and Notre Dame to add to my "collection". I might even do an OV to one of those schools just to see different places.
Does not mean that I am going to any of those far-away northern schools. It's just a way to add to my cool portfolio.
But you never know, so you have to give it a shot if you are Harbaugh.
The guy I really want is Kaindoh. I was actually more impressed with him than Gary in the IMG/Paramus game. (To be fair it was an off-game for Gary. He looked like a different guy in the HS all star game.)
|23 hours 45 min ago||This game is why I like||
This game is why I like college football so much more than pro football, even if it is not for "pure" reasons.
The NFL defenses are too good. The game has no flow, it's just hike the ball and bail out.
Compare this year's Super Bowl with this year's CFB National Championship game. The Super Bowl was unwatchable. I wanted it to just be over already in the 3rd quarter. I wanted the CFB NC to go into 3 overtimes.
Yes I know that the NFL has far superior athletes at the pinnacle of their craft, but they need some rule changes to open up the flow of the game. It's becoming like Men's Tennis where there is no game to watch, just 120 mph serves. The NFL is just hike and get rid of the ball.

I agree with all your points, but Carolina was not going to win this. Once it bacame clear that Denver's D was underrated in terms of being able to keep Newton's running in check and blanket-covering Carolina's recievers at the same time, it was over.
We all knew that Carolina goes as Newton goes. We just thought that Denver would not have an answer for Newton (because nobody else did all year). But they did.
Phillips is a genius. He proved that this game and in the AFC Championship game.
|1 day 3 min ago||Yeah, for the Super Bowl I||
Yeah, for the Super Bowl I thoght he seemed bored to be there. Zero excitement. Zero big moment feel.
And then add to that the game sucked and was between two teams most people don't care about (and the commercials were pretty meh) and it all had the feel of just going through the motions.
It was the Super Bowl so you pretended to be into it, even though you were not. I started to fall asleep when it bacame clear that Carolina was not going to score once, much less twice, to get back in the game.
Oh well, we were due for a let down. Over the last decade or so we've had some great Super Bowls. Last year's may have been the best ever. Can't expect that every year.

Funchess looked pretty good too for those 2 plays where Cam Newton actually had 2 seconds to throw the ball.

The sad thing is that half the former SB MVPs they brought out at the start of the game need to take it. Age can be an ugly thing.

He's almost done with next year's.

Fun facts about our 2016 recruiting class:
More of our recruits are from the Southeast than any other region (34%).
The next biggest region for us is the Mid-Atlantic (28%).
The talent-rich areas of the country - Southeast, West, and Mid-Atlantic - make up a whopping 76% of our class.
The Midwest only accounts for 21% of the class.
Our biggest recruiting state is a tie between Florida and New Jersey.
We have as many kids from California as we do from Michigan.
We have no kids from Ohio. None. New Jersey is the new Ohio.
Welcome to National recruiting in the Harbaugh era!
|1 day 19 hours ago||It's something of an||
It's something of an overstatement about how much Urban Meyer "locks down" Ohio.
During his entire time at OSU he has averaged 40% of his recruits per year coming from Ohio.
That's it. 40%. Not the 80% some people believe. Not even a majority.
It was Tressel who was the big Ohio guy, taking 60%-70% Ohio kids for his classes. We may have forgotten, but it was a bit of a local dust-up in Columbus when Meyer came in and shifted their focus away from majority Ohio to more national recruiting.
Meyer is taking about 10 kids a year from Ohio. That's it. 10 kids from the 5th most fertile recruiting ground in the country. And he's not getting all 10 of the top 10.
Ohio is open for business if and when Harbaugh wants to go in there.
|1 day 19 hours ago||Yes, I grew up in and have||
Yes, I grew up in and have lived in these Big Ten East footprint states: NJ, PA, MD, Northern VA.
I've been following CFB intently since the early 80's and I can tell you that Michigan is now seen as a "local" team in these states. That was not the case as recently as a decade ago.
It used to be mostly just Penn State with some Notre Dame thrown in. Now it's clearly Michigan too. You see Michigan stuff everywhere. And it's not just people that went to Michigan or are transplants from the Midwest like it used to be. It's indigenous East Coast people (and recruits) too.
Being in the Big Ten East is the best thing that ever happned to Michigan. The "price" of having to play Rutgers and Maryland every year is well worth it.
One of the things that scares me to death is the prospect of another B1G realignment because the Big Ten West does poorly in head to head competition. The last thing I want is to get shipped back into another "Legends" type division with Iowa and Illinois and Minnesota while Ohio State and Penn State get the mind-share in the Eastern states.
Do Not Want.
