Despite your slippery slope argument, there are no advertisements in the Big House. If somebody wants to sponsor our tweets - go for it. That's free money for a stupid thing like twitter. I would barely notice.

I like the idea of a bar, but I usually prefer the comfort of my home (or a friends) because most fans frustrate me with their lack of knowledge or pessimism. I can't stand hearing how stupid X-player is or how our head coach can suck...something because a play didn't work. Quarterbacks don't TRY to throw interceptions, and defenders don't TRY to screw up. That's my PSA.

Yup, hiding behind an internet disguise has that effect. I'm flattered that you responded to this in the midst of a few "go fuck yourself" comments though.
In a few more words, let me explain.
I think this is a bit petty because you're not watching because of Dave Brandon. He will never know. This game was scheduled because of revenge, not money (if it is money, someone needs to explain to me how paying App State to play us is a money grab. Do we get paid when they play "Horror" highlights?). You may disagree with the decision to schedule it, and that's fine. But many of us love the revenge factor. I want to win this game because I do believe The Horror was the beginning of the downslide. Symbolically, I want to crush App State and set the universe right.
I think it's emotional because "The Horror" was 7 years ago. We shouldn't be so affected by articles about it or watching highlights. It happened, it sucked. The six years following it weren't so great either. Time to move on and cheer for Michigan. I prefer to think of it as "The Horror: Revenge," but if you can't escape thoughts of "The Horror II" then just watch it as Michigan Football Game 1: Road to the Playoff. Also, we look bad if we blow them out? Considering the circumstances I think the sports world will forgive us if we demoralize them. I think we keep it classy in the 55 point range, but I would gladly accept a 90-0 win and any backlash that comes with it.
I hope you reconsider your stance and enjoy a game in what MIGHT BE a special Michigan football season. We're still undefeated in 2014.

You are petty and overly emotional.

Food for thought.

Let's win a few times before we keep climbing back on to our high horse. Michigan arrogance is fine with me, when we back it up. When we aren't, it's very frustrating.

It sucks for that guy. But it is pretty funny how he uses "Big Ten" as a slur, and ironic that he calls Notre Dame arrogant considering his tone towards everyone else.
|1 week 16 hours ago||I think||
I think the level of anger about the game by some of us/you rivals whatever go drove them to schedule it.
|1 week 2 days ago||Why?||
Why? What effect did those two weeks have on our program? York was at home, suspended indefinitely.
|1 week 2 days ago||Appropriate||
I hope he recovers from this mistake, but this move was absolutely necessary.
On the other hand, the program did the right thing but taking time to make this decision. I hope this satisfies everyone whining about why he wasn't kicked off immediately.

The 11W guy trumpets OSU's discipline. Lol. Glasgow probably would have been dismissed because he's not good enough to join the circle of trust, thus maintaining an average discipline that doesn't raise too many eyebrows. I hate OSU
|1 week 2 days ago||Really?||
Wolverine Devotee has never been to a game? You need to get yourself to the App State game.
|1 week 3 days ago||Ok||
Competition was weak but you were able to conclude that Irvin can be a high lottery pick from that sample haha. Love the optimism.
|1 week 3 days ago||My opinion||
I love the story and am rooting for him etc. Etc. But I still anticipate that Austin gets a medical redshirt. I think he'll see symbolic game time this season, and then be medically redshirted after the season.

I want to crush App State. This is just another reason for you haters to criticize DB, and you all must have repress every bad thing that has ever happened to you. We lost to App State. It was horrible. Can't erase that, but we can stop them out to build momentum for our season. Schedule them every year until that game becomes just an unfortunate part of history. I'm excited. App state will have our squads full focus.
|2 weeks 11 hours ago||Dave Brandon||
I don't love everything Dave has done. I think the commercialism of a night game (UTLIII??? It made sense for the first one, but I can read a schedule...it's a night game) is extremely annoying for example. But I think he's done a pretty good job overall. I just can't wait until we can stop overanalyzing every decision the athletic department makes.
|2 weeks 12 hours ago||Disagree||
Because a Football player allegedly dodged consequences of a rape last year, the University should make hasty decisions in all future legal encounters involving athletes?
If anything, the Gibbons debacle should teach us that we need to take every case seriously and gather as much information as possible before making decisions one way or another.
|2 weeks 12 hours ago||Justice||
The video is damning for sure. But he's not actively practicing. I don't see anything wrong with keeping him indefinitely suspended and letting the justice system take its course. He'll probably be dismissed sooner than later.
You don't get a special prize for making huge decisions based on security footage. Just wait, they'll do the right thing.
|2 weeks 1 day ago||Video||
Haven't watched the video and I like to form my own opinions. Not saying you or anyone else is wrong. I just think an individual should be innocent until proven guilty, and suspending him immediately after the incident was the appropriate decision.
|2 weeks 1 day ago||Wait||
Haven't watched the video yet because I'm at work, but there is no need to rush to judgment. He's appropriately suspended. Wait until the trial to decide what happened, and if witnesses decide he was provoked without cause. Im not condoning violence, but if a tough guy decides to say racist stuff 2 inches from your face and basically ask for a fight...I can't really feel sorry for him if he gets hit.

I very much prefer wearing blue to wearing maize. Maybe I'm alone, but I think it would be much easier to execute a blue out.

Never ever a maize field.

Nobody liked to see Montgomery leave, but Manning seemed like the best possible fit even before he was hired.

This map doesn't agree with common sense. I think Michigan, Illinois, California, and New York are home to the highest concentration of Michigan fans and alumni. I get that State fans, Big Ten fans, and general college football fans who are haters might gang up on us in those respective states. But Ohio is most hated in Ohio? Something is weird about this. Only thing I can conclude is that we're on a lot of people's radar.
|2 weeks 6 days ago||Wins||
It's really hard to win games in August, so how about we enjoy the moments we do have and wait to boil about winning/losing when there are actual results. Last season is long over.
|2 weeks 6 days ago||Defense||
With exception of the DBs I think it's less important who starts on defense. Tons of depth at LB, and some talent mixed with experience on the DL. I think we have the horses to be really, really good on this side.
|2 weeks 6 days ago||Me too||
I'm on board with your optimism. But I think Bosch starts over Dawson. He has the experience and pedigree. Some growing pains last year, but it wasn't all his fault.
