I actually never planned anything for spring break - most everyone else left and it was time to actually catch up on hobbies like music and model ships (science fiction ones mainly - I still have my model of USS Reliant, for example) and things like that. Even at Michigan, I had a tendency to schedule my own vacation, hence the class which I attended maybe five times not including exams, did all the reading, and still managed an "A" in it.
We're taking the kids to museums, some of them on campus as well as the DIA and a few others, and some miscellaneous events. They are out the week after this coming week and I do plan to be more scarce at work than usual for that reason.

The funny thing about basketball - and a couple other sports - is that the meeting of two essentially slimeball programs like these two still makes for an entertaining game.
Meanwhile, my neighbor - the bandwagon Kentucky guy - is probably locked away in his basement with a case of PBR watching this game. #DownriverLife

Yeah, that interview does seem like it could easily have #HotTakesExposed right after it now.
Also, for several years now, it feels especially right and moral to beat Penn State.

I was at my parents' house watching this on PASS with a few people - I distinctly remember everyone standing up and cheering with each fight too.
That flying body check that Shanahan laid on Roi - which Roi deserved because Roi - was a thing of beauty.

You have a point. This thread is saving us from a very spirited debate on various methods and means of kitchen counters and cabinetry.
Well, it is until about the middle of June, when we will dig up that thread and probe for any additional comments. I notice that we've not fully explored the marble angle, for example...

I almost find it a shame that they won't have the Spring Game in the Coliseum, and since they would occasionally flood the place, a Game complete with an old-school naval battle recreated afterwards with one trireme commanded by Harbaugh himself. I'll take Michigan Stadium as a suitable replacement though, and maybe we can still get the naval battle afterwards.

Well, Trevon Bluiett sort of Bluiett there on the TO.
I will show myself out now.
|1 day 11 hours ago||The Camera...||
Haven't they done that before though, where the footage pretty much gave away nothing? I could be wrong, but I seem to remember that being one of the chief complaints about some of the practice videos over the years.
|1 day 11 hours ago||The Gonzaga Bandwagon...||
Regarding the Gonzaga bandwagon, did anyone check to make sure it seated all 20 people? If not, I definitely wouldn't drive that thing through any busy intersections for the fear of being pulled over for more than a few violations.
|1 day 15 hours ago||Normally...||
Normally, I would agree really, but this particular post was from a forum that was private in the first place, therefore inaccessible to most to begin with and with reason. In this case, I think it is fine to respect their wish that things not be shared outside those confines. I certainly wouldn't treat it the same way if it were on someone's public-facing page, of course.

Team Insights from Orlando Malone (Father of Corey)
From the post the OP copied:
Decided to drop a few nuggets to sooth everyone's mind (bball loss) and help launch spring ball tomorrow. If this stuff show up anywhere, I will go on another self imposed "post band."
So, let's not be THAT blog....

Well, if nothing else, Archie Miller seems to be aware of his own suit size, so the worry about self-pantsing like you had with Crean is greatly reduced. That, and the police can rest easy in Bloomington as the threat of net theft may go down.
In all seriousness, that's not a bad hire for Indiana.
|1 day 22 hours ago||These Fans...||
Ah, these are the fans that I so enjoy during March and April - one unexpected configuration of one unit and we're doomed and so and so isn't ready or as good as we thought and so forth.
This is the sort of thing that makes sitting in the stands at the Spring Game actually a hilarious affair, if you're into that sort of thing.
|1 day 22 hours ago||And Further...||
...and further, it was a vey high-scoring affair for both these teams. I mean, 83 points is basically two games for Wisconsin in some stretches and yet many times they manage to somehow win both of them because of the soul-sucking version of basketball that they play.
Florida should be proud but they should not rest - there must be at least one team that is capable of Wisconsining other teams in the Elite Eight. I believe it is a tradition.

Spanier's defense attorney, however, said Spanier did the best he could with a bad situation, and argued that the prosecution was trying to criminalize a judgment call.
Letting THAT run unchecked for another decade doesn't seem to fit the definition of "making the best of a bad situation" as I know it, but then what do I know, eh?

I will admit, the Lululemon stuff is very nice indeed - my wife actually got me to try them out and as others have said, they are very comfortable and well-fitting.
That was an afternoon at Twelve Oaks well spent, in retrospect, even if the brand tends to make your credit card hot and your wallet sad. Worth the price really.
|2 days 20 hours ago||Good Luck To Them...||
Despite a lot of things that were said at various points, I think at least most of us if not all will remember both their careers at Michigan in a very positive light, not just for the leadership they both were able to provide but for the things that they actually did on the court. Walton coming almost out of nowhere in the second half of this season, Irvin showing up when it mattered most even if not every possession was exactly clean - those are the things we will look back on.
Good luck to both of them in their next adventure, and they will always have that Michigan degree to look to and use as well.
|2 days 20 hours ago||At Least For Us...||
At least for our sake, we did not have West Virginia's final possession happen in our game. I very much doubt any of us would still be verbal if that had occurred. Well, no, we'd be verbal, but in a base, profane sort of way, I imagine.
Some of the Twitter schadenfreude over the end of that game was epic.
|3 days 7 hours ago||Meanwhile...||
A wild Larry Brown has appeared in the stands at the Kansas-Purdue game, looking as if he is casually taking notes on his next....oh, 15-minute stop in coaching. To be fair, he was at Kansas more that 15 minutes - closer to an hour, in fact.
|3 days 9 hours ago||They Are Appreciated...||
Irvin showing up when it mattered late in the season and Walton carrying this team when no one else could....those are things that will be missed. They will be missed. As many things as I have admittedly said in the moment about these guys in tough games, theirs will be tough act to follow but hopefully some of their best qualities rub off on the guys that stay.
|3 days 9 hours ago||When I Look At It...||
When I look back at what I felt back in late January, I would have told you that you were probably being overly optimistic if you had said we'd be in the Sweet Sixteen after having won the Big Ten Championship.
Even though I am still a bit heartbroken we won't be playing this weekend in the Elite Eight, everything taken into consideration, it has been a good season. Still a lot to do and a lot to work on, but that turnaround in the second half of the regular season and up to this moment was really, really fun.

Drink on Wednesday so you can take in Thursday’s tension without feeling the pull of Skeeps. It’s unorthodox, but trust me: It’ll pay off.
Sure, it's a pull at Skeeps, but it isn't the person you thought it was before you turned around.
In all seriousness though, even now, nearly 20 years removed from campus and having grown up a Wolverine fan, I love these weeks even if the wait for the game itself is sometimes a terrible thing.
|3 days 13 hours ago||This Point...||
Terry Mills -- T-Mills to these Wolverines -- played in Ann Arbor during Michigan's lone championship season in 1989 and is a close spectator of this current crew from his perch as radio analyst. He watches this team and sees it hitting the sweet spot: "Their confidence is at an all-time high," he says. "But they're calm. They're really calm."
On the show I do, we talked about things like "confidence" and "toughness" and all these things that we didn't feel like we were seeing consistently, and then the rest of the season happened and they found that groove and are poised for a deep run. It really has been fun to watch and hopefully will continue to be fun this evening.

|3 days 18 hours ago||Predictions...||
I have this suspicion that this is a game of a few possessions difference, so I was thinking more in the 73-68-ish range, favoring Michigan.
Very interested in Purdue-Kansas for obvious reasons. That one seems like it would be a grinding sort of game.
|3 days 20 hours ago||I Can Say....||
I can say from experience that you would be impressed with some of the reel sizes available on telecom equipment, having had many opportunities to walk the yards which house the construction crews for some of this work. My concern would be, well, wind and birds and debris. Other aircraft too.
Yeah, scratch this idea.
|4 days 8 hours ago||Actually....||
Actually, I've been trying to do the same thing - bounce between the Pistons and the WBC. As I find myself drinking more during the time when I watch the Pistons, maybe for my own sake I will stick with the WBC. I am enough beers in that I watched the Spanish broadcase (I speak French and German) for a minute or two before it struck me, which is basically why I give up on the Pistons tonight.
|4 days 13 hours ago||My Own View...||
My own opinion is that this is the sort of coaching suggestion you make only when blackout drunk and possibly naked, but hey, I am neither an Oklahoma State fan or alum and therefor what do I know about the state of mind of their program other than lowballing Underwood was an insane, batshit move.
That being said, maybe Gottlieb is exactly the man they need right now.
