This connection to the NFL has been hugely beneficial. Keeping it open is one strong reason to let Jim have a lot of say about his successor in the event he leaves for the NFL. As stated below, being and having a proving ground is beneficial for both sides, but it has probably been more beneficial for Michigan.

I mostly agree with this list. I'd put Cade above Wilton, Wormly above Dana, I'd put Mayfield at the top of the list and Cole on the right. OUr Secondaries and Dlines have been stacked!
I love the retrospective as I did the predictions. I was hoping for a bit more discussion on the Michigan rerankings but appreciated the QB revisit at the top. All in all a great piece and thanks for all your work on FFFF throughout the season!

These are the positive stories of the transfer portal. I'm happy they each got a chance to contribute somewhere. I hope they all do well except when playing us.
I thought the most interesting part of the article was about what was wrong with the program coming into '21. Gattis only had the 60% trust from the offensive staff and Harbaugh's meddling wasn't helping. Biff helped resolve that issue. It's hard to believe it happened with a single meeting where they opened up personally to each other, but that makes for a nice narrative. Still, I thought it was insightful.
This is a beautiful visualization and an incredibly informative post! Thanks for putting it together. It would be interesting to see the penalties graphs for other high-performing teams this year: Georgia, Alabama, OSU, Clemson, and Tennessee. Is this just refs biased towards underdogs?
I agree that this is the main concern going into the game. We will definitely need better second and third-level angles and tackling in this game than last week.
After reading the UFR, I was wondering if Green would pick off Turner's star. Not this week. I'm hoping all three corners have stars by the season's end.
The expected value of a red shirt has gone down with the rise of the transfer portal. Getting guys on the field keeps them happy and less likely to transfer. Playing out your eligibility here in four is a better outcome than our development being used against us elsewhere.
Circus clowns. There is no objective reason to find them scary, as their entire raison d'être seems to be to bring happiness to others at their own expense through their hilarious antics and assorted hijinks. But dammit who would invite clowns over to your house to hang out for four hours AT NIGHT?
