Benedict Cumberbatch FTW!
Yeah, it was weird having Khan Noonien Singh played by a blue-eyed Caucasian but....Benedict Cumberbatch!

Protip: If you want your audience to actually finish reading your diary, DON'T put a .gif of Olivia Wilde somewhere in the middle of the post. The line of Welsh Corgi's walking through the snow was just adding insult to injury.
Fun fact: Olivia Wilde's real surname is Cockburn. Seriously.

Crystal Ballz have been pouring in for him to UM in the last day or two.

Watch Dwumfour's tape and decide for yourself. I have watched it and he looks pretty damn good to me. He just bursts through OLmen on nearly every play and makes TFL/sacks constantly.

It's one of those female empowerment "chick flicks" so the target audience really seems to be women. If you are male (I am), it's a little bit embarassing to admit you like it. I agree that it is a very enjoyable movie, though.

Tom Hanks is awesome in "A League of Their Own" but, yeah, that is a pretty embarassing movie which I like as well.
I think my selection would be "When Harry Met Sally", I usually detest RomComs but I absolutley love that particular movie.

That would be...odd.
Swenson is a big UM fan and was one of the first commits in the class. Anything you can add as to why he might not end up signing with UM?

Anyone else notice a disturbing trend among those players? Answer: They all played/play in the SEC.
Small sample size and all that but...yeah.

One thing I don't get about Nauta is that he was initially committed to FSU. If he is so in love with Georgia, why did he commit to FSU?

I'm sure O'Neill is over 18 so he's not officially a "kid" anymore is he?
I'm not saying he should be drawn and quartered. The death threats against him are reprehensible but he is in no way deserving of an "Appreciation Thread" when his gaffe was the most significant (and memorable) reason UM lost a very important game to Sparty.
I did not send him any Twitter threats, I don't "hate" him but I see no reason to try to salve Blake's feelings. He messed up, UM lost, let him accept the consequences of failing at the one thing he is on scholarship for: catch the ball and kick it.
|44 weeks 6 days ago||Are you fucking kidding me||
Are you fucking kidding me with this shit?!?
I agree that death threats and all that is just horrible but the kid screwed up big time and lost the game for UM. I, for one, will never forgive him for this loss. It may have set UM's program back a few years: no shot at CFB playoffs, probably no shot at Big 10 title, loss of mojo, loss of media respect, become national joke for choking game away and probably costs UM a few elite recruits for this cycle which will hurt a few years down the road.
The death threats are completely uncalled for but lets not go over board on trying to absolve the kid in his part in this embarrassing loss. He messed up and UM lost the game because of it. Period.

Fun fact: Olivia Wilde's real last name is Cockburn...so maybe that dude isn't so lucky after all. Ouch!

I just figured he decided to stay at OSU when someone in the AD pointed out that he would have to return his "signing bonus" and other goodies if he voluntarily left OSU.
|1 year 9 weeks ago||Yeah, but none of the "cool"||
Yeah, but none of the "cool" gamers (oxymoron?) today use alignments; they're just, like, too restrictive, man. Personally, I always preferred alignments like lawful neutral with neutral evil tendencies. That way you had the whole gamut pretty much covered, or, you could just play Chaotic Neutral and do whatever the h*ll you wanted.
As a long lapsed gamer who has just gotten back into the game very recently (via 5th Edition), I am curious to know what you have written for WOTC & Paizo. Magazine articles, supplements, adventures?

Wouldn't a fight between Batman and Superman last, like, one panel (or approx. 3 seconds) due to Superman crushing Batman's face with one punch?

I couldn't even recall who the villain was in Quantum of Solace which was just a horrible, horrible movie. The only good thing about QoS was that it introduced us to Olga Kurylenko.

As a (David) Lipscomb grad, Belmont will always be the hated Rebels to me!
Actually, I never cared that much about the Battle of the Boulevards stuff when I was attending (David) Lipscomb but I am surprised at how easily Belmont made the transition to the NCAA from the NAIA while Lipscomb's once proud basketball program is now a complete joke after making the same transition.

Since this is a Way OT computer related thread and my question doesn't merit making it's own Way OT computer related thread, I'll just ask it here:
I am considering a career change (actually don't have a career right now, alas) into computer programming and have only recently learned about coding bootcamps. Are there any MGoUsers who have attended a coding bootcamp (or know anyone who has) and could offer any insights into their experiences? Are there any people who are involved in hiring programmers who could comment on their opinion regarding the desirability of coding bootcamp graduates as potential employees versus more traditionally schooled applicants?

Personally, I still don't consider Nebraska to be a "real" B1G team, let them go back to the Big XII, I say.

In Florida's case wasn't it actually the AD Foley who didn't like Mullen? If so, then it would make sense for his opinion to matter since he is...you know, the guy doing the hiring. What Carr thinks about UM football and who the next coach should be should mean less than nothing to anyone.

In the immortal words of the Dread Pirate Westley: Get used to disappointment.
Acutally, I think UM might be able to beat MSU next season if a bunch of Sparty's good juniors leave for the NFL. OSU...not so much.

I haven't followed the NFL in years; when did coaches start getting "traded"? I have never heard of a coach being traded before.

Based on that schedule and UM's roster (specifically the weaknesses at the skill positions on offense), I predict a 6-6 or 7-5 regular season for UM in 2015.

I'm no longer a UM fan (dropped the team after 2012), so Hoke didn't lose me this season (I hated the hire from day one, btw) but I present my comment I made in the discussion about Morris starting over Gardner for the Minnesota game which I feel turned out to be pretty prescient:

I remember being befuddled by native Floridians complaining when the temps dropped below 45 after I moved to Tampa (later Orlando) from Ohio. Personally, I hated the Florida summers (basically May through October) and thought the winters were the most pleasant season down there.
