Yes Sir! My third truck is the last of the legendary 7.3L Powerstroke Diesels as well. It was built in 2003, you will remember there are 2003 Powerstrokes that also have the DOG 6.0L engine. My neighbor actually worked at International Harvester in Indianapolis, he looked at my VIN and said it was one of the last 100 PSD engines off the assembly line. He said they treated every one of those engines with care and respect. She has 336,543 miles on her as of today, and she also has the cancer bad. The engine is faultless, just the truck is rusting out so bad. I have black duct tape over the fenders now and the rear doors will not open. Tailgate won't shut unless my bed cover is closed. But I love that truck. She has never, ever let me down. They sure don't build them like that anymore.
That is nice! This truck also has the C6 auto 3 speed. I forgot about the 3 speed. It's a fuel guzzler unless I keep it at 65mph or below. Anything above that......gotta open my check book. If this transmission ever goes out, I will do what you are doing if I can make it happen. I do love how it sounds at the higher RPM. Quite a Purr. Have fun with your truck Bronco!
Wellll.....I just bought a 1986 Ford F250 XL with the 6.9L Diesel, my 4th diesel and first 6.9, though I have much experience with them. The Bull-Nose, Tan and Brown, 115K miles, 1 owner who passed in 2019, been sitting in his son's garage since then, in Portland OR. Has been driven exactly 104 miles since 2017. Found on Auto Trader then EBay. I was top bidder, but did not meet reserve. Guy called me on March 16th, and after much vetting, and a deal made, I bought it and had it shipped here to Fort Wayne. For a 38 year old truck, it is in mint condition inside and out, not a speck of rust! Engine runs like a dream, gently bringing her back to life. She is a classic beauty. Truck guys know, and I get many approving thumbs-up driving that beauty harking back to my Navy years in CA. Old School, XM.

Drove 35 miles from Fort Wayne to Berne Indiana and had 3 minutes 17 seconds of totality. Had my Celestron Binoculars with me. I shrieked out loud when I saw the prominences, like a beautiful magenta ring of fire moving, living, breathing, with my own eyes. I dreamed about it all last night. Beautiful event that I will never forget. Simply stunning. Food trucks, music, like-minded people, great weather and clear skies. Took about 50 minutes to get home. Smiled all the way.

When they got lippy all I said was Farleigh Dickinson and that shut them up. They are good fans. Like we used to be. BTW, I bought my barely into the upper bowl tickets for 12 bucks, and they were selling for 7 yesterday. We played well. The boys did not quit and scrapped the whole game. *Sigh*
I listened to it on CKLW driving from Ann Arbor to Traverse City. That was a Friday, I believe. Coming home from UM for the weekend. I stopped in Claire at the rest area as the signal was fading, listed to us win, drove home, told everyone we won, my Dad went out and bought a bottle of Stoli to rub it in the faces of the Russkies after we won. I got several mean stares and "you little shit, you lied" type comments until the last 2 minutes of the game replay. Then we got bombed and jumped into the Boardman River after taking a sauna. Don't know how I lived through all these great moments! It was a paradigm shift in how the US thought about itself and how the world viewed us as opposed to the Russkies. We could use one of those now. Any ideas?
