|1 week 10 hours ago||I'm fine with the snowflake threads||
I like how they're organized into categories so that you don't have overly long threads, but they're broad enough that a lot of comments would be on topic.
Before, we had too many narrow "species" threads after games. Now we have "genera" threads to put those in.
|3 weeks 21 hours ago||Eh...||
...I'm not a fan of the number font, actually. YMMV.
|3 weeks 5 days ago||I feel much the same way||
My opinions about Kaepernick's action and Harbaugh's answer aside, I think things will eventually settle down. Frankly, the question shouldn't have even been asked in a press conference about Michigan football.

U-M looking slow now.
|26 weeks 13 hours ago||How did that get out of Racine's glove?||
Looks like it bounced right out.
|26 weeks 14 hours ago||That dive was right in front of the ref||
|42 weeks 6 days ago||Thanks||
I went to YouTube and of course the comments are mostly people hating on Harbaugh, calling him arrogant and mentally unbalanced and such.
|42 weeks 6 days ago||The other way to look at it||
You could argue that going for the field goal would have been running up the score, since that's a higher percentage play at that distance. Going for it on 4th down gives the other team a chance to stop it.
|43 weeks 16 hours ago||I think it's being overstated||
If the punt block had gone differently, maybe you can say that the game would have been closer, but I think that's about it. OSU's run game gashing our defense wouldn't have changed.
|43 weeks 16 hours ago||I remember when Spielman got some grief||
For saying that maybe 1 or 2 players on U-M would start for OSU. Looks like he wasn't that far off.
|43 weeks 16 hours ago||Sometimes coaching only does so much||
It's one thing to give the coaches a pass, it's another to recognize that there are some things that even the best planning and preparation can't overcome.
Sure, the coaching staff bears some responsibility for this result, but they can't play the game.
|43 weeks 17 hours ago||I guess this will be your last comment then||
May you have a long and happy life.
|43 weeks 17 hours ago||Remember what the coaches are working with||
This was a 5-7 team. Now they're 9-3. Coaching can't make up for lacking talent against a team that's stacked with it.
|43 weeks 18 hours ago||Preparation only gets you so far||
Sometimes you just don't have the players, and preparation can't always overcome that.
|45 weeks 12 hours ago||A Wild Rudock appears!||
It's super effective!
Seriously, Rudock really came to play. Michigan would have lost this game in regulation last year.
|49 weeks 13 hours ago||Here's what you do||
Keep it classy. Congratulate your Spartan acquaintances on a hard-fought win and say you look forward to playing them again next year. My brother's a huge Spartan fan; after the game, I texted him to say congrats. My supervisor is a Spartan alum; when we have our weekly meeting on Monday morning, I will congratulate her, too.
|49 weeks 13 hours ago||Did he actually say that?||
|49 weeks 13 hours ago||Maker's Mark, neat.||
I'll try not to finish the bottle.
|49 weeks 13 hours ago||Which is why it's not just on the punter||
Defense wasn't what we expected, but MSU is a better team than most of the others U-M's played and Cook is the best QB U-M will probably face all year. Having said that, there were any number of plays that could have gone better for U-M on either side of the ball, and then the scenario of this fumble wouldn't have been a factor.
|49 weeks 17 hours ago||My concern||
...is that the tiring out will go in the other direction.
|51 weeks 19 hours ago||Some of it's understandable||
I agree that some of the complaining is a bit much, but I think it's also understandable to a point. There's been a lot of mistakes on the part of Michigan's offense.

11:00 am isn't too early, right?
|52 weeks 20 hours ago||Not greatest, but good||
I mean, Keith Jackson is Keith Jackson, but if we're talking active announcing teams, I think both McDonough and Spielman are pretty good. They're both knowledgeable and don't have too much idle chatter. Spielman explains things really well and I don't think that he is biased against Michigan at all - in fact, I think he shows remarkable respect and fairness toward Michigan. I know some people are miffed with him because of his remark about who on the M offense would start for OSU, but 1) I'm not sure what he said was that much of an exaggeration right now and 2) even if it were, he more than makes up for it for his knowledge and the good things he has said about Michigan.
Some of the other teams here folks have mentioned are good too. I like Nessler and Blackledge. Fowler isn't bad, but I liked him better on College GameDay. Herbstreit's decent.
|1 year 6 days ago||So glad he left UW||
Better off without him.
|1 year 6 days ago||Stanford-USC||
Wow. This is a good game.
|1 year 1 week ago||Great composure||
We wouldn't have driven to a TD from a 3rd and 20 last year.
|1 year 1 week ago||Surprised Oregon State didn't go for it there.||
That was hardly a yard to go.

So no, I don't care for the Thursday start.
