|2 days 19 hours ago||This is exactly what I do||
Seriously, I've done it for years. I have many friends and acquaintances (not to mention my older brother) who are Sparty fans. Now me and my brother will get into it, because we know we're just talking shit and it's no big deal. But with everyone else, this is how I act. And sometimes, my Sparty interlocutor will not believe that that's how I feel and tries to press it further, but I don't fall for it. Then they just don't know what to do.
|10 weeks 3 days ago||Because I'm cooking||
I'm making a Dijon mustard sauce for my pork chops tonight, and since the recipe calls for a dry white wine, I'll be having some sauvignon blanc.

He'll get back to you.
|11 weeks 18 hours ago||I prefer cities myself||
But that's me. Some suburbs are okay, too, depending on what you're looking for.
|11 weeks 18 hours ago||Close to Lake Huron, too||
Lake Michigan tends to get the love, but I like Huron just as much.
|11 weeks 18 hours ago||I do like it a great deal here||
It would be no surprise to me at all if I lived here in Seattle for many more years. At this point, that is probably the mostly likely outcome and that would be just fine. I'm just more open to moving back to Michigan if the opportunity was right than I was several years ago.
That opportunity may never come along, and if so, I'll be happy here too.
|11 weeks 21 hours ago||Funny you should post on this||
I live in Seattle, Washington right now (and have for the past 14 years or so) and I've been contemplating a move back to Michigan myself. No concrete plans, and I may never actually do it, but I'm more open to doing so than I was 10 years ago.
Seattle is a great place, and I know a lot of folks would say I'm crazy to even think about moving back to Michigan. If I did move back, though, Ann Arbor would be among my top choices. It's one of my favorite places ever.

A glass of Beringer Founders' Estate pinot noir.

My high school commencement exercises were held at the Silverdome.

Grad school: Oregon State and University of Washington.
So, um, yeah.
|13 weeks 22 hours ago||I was also thinking of Harbaugh vs. Dantonio||
They've both pretty intense fellows so this should be interesting to see play out, that is, if Dantonio doesn't complain next that it's "disrespectful" for Michigan State to have to go to Michigan to play games every other season.

It's a preemption.

A fine winter beer.

Wishing you all the best for a full recovery.

Nike supplies OSU's gear as well.
|17 weeks 3 days ago||I've always liked Devin||
Sure, I could be critical of his play (maybe a bit unfairly from time to time), but I've always been impressed by his character and his resilience. He could have left Michigan for another school - and who would have blamed him, in retrospect? - but stayed here and did everything that was asked of him.
And just when you think you've seen enough, he does something like this. That's the Michigan Difference.
|18 weeks 2 days ago||It's not just today's youth||
I don't think the young people of today are any less empathetic than any generation that preceded them. The issues this article raises go back a very, very long time.
|18 weeks 2 days ago||Re rape culture||
It's a charged term, to be sure, but I can't think of any story I've read in recent memory that illustrates how it works better than this article. It works on so many levels here: the "friends" who showed no empathy for Jackie and were more worried about their social lives, the guy who brought her there who acted afterward like nothing wrong had happened, and the institutional practices that served to conceal the extent of the problem, among other things.
|18 weeks 2 days ago||It's a horrible story||
But, if you can bring yourself to do so, you should read it. It's a very powerful story and something that more people should know about.
|18 weeks 3 days ago||I don't get too upset about this kind of thing||
A player has to do what he feels is best for his future. If Weber thinks going somewhere other than Michigan is the best move, then I respect that.
At the same time, if a player doesn't want to play for Michigan, fine. We'll find someone else to replace him.
|18 weeks 3 days ago||He will, though.||
There's at least one more game we'll have to live through before he gets the firm handshake.
|22 weeks 2 days ago||What's funny||
The same opposing fans who laughed at Michigan for having Rodriguez as head coach are now laughing at Michigan for firing him, as if that was their position all along.
|22 weeks 2 days ago||Agreed||
No need for that shit.
|23 weeks 3 days ago||A guy I once knew||
He said pretty much the same about Notre Dame: "Everyone I know who went to Notre Dame was a dickhead. In fact, I think they have a checkbox on their application that says, 'I am a dickhead' and if you don't check it, you don't get in."
|24 weeks 1 hour ago||Glad you said something||
Stuff like, "the women would be worse" (how exactly?) is really not very mature. I hope he grows out of it.
|24 weeks 2 days ago||Not only that||
|24 weeks 2 days ago||They were okay||
I like the traditional home uniform better, but this was okay. The blue pants were kinda cool. I didn't like the number font or the stripes.
|25 weeks 44 min ago||This||
The same people who were all like, "I hope Michigan keeps Rodriguez for years because he sucks" are now saying, "Boy, Michigan was stupid to fire Rodriguez! I hope they keep Hoke for years to come!"
|25 weeks 3 days ago||Uh...||
Did I miss something here?
