I agree that the Big Ten ends regular season play too early, but one variable I think conference officials or the NCAA may consider is the weather conditions in the Midwest region from late November onward.
Since all of the Big Ten stadiums are outdoors and weather conditions decline in the later part of the season, the Big Ten and/or the NCAA might simply want the games to be played in more favorable conditions. Whereas southern teams (SEC, Big 12, USC, etc) play in more mild conditions during that part of the season.
Needless to say I think the schedule could be pushed back a week or so, and the cold conditions would make an even better scenario for the game.
We've established that many people are opposed to the possibility of maize jerseys and we've also seen that many people are indifferent or even in favor of the maize jerseys.
I personally think maize jerseys would be a terrible idea, but if we were to suit up in maize at some point this season, it would by no means effect how I love our wolverines.
Let's put the maize jersey issue to bed and kick the shit out of little brother on Saturday.
When you strap up and run out onto the field, you agree to embrace all the dimensions that make up the game of football. When you dream of winning the national championship game, the games to win the conference, you also accept that every game also has a loser. You don't have to like losing, and you can work your ass off to become the best player you can, but you must acknowledge that losing is part of the game. When you dream of making the game winning catch, or that sweet blindside hit, you also accept that on any given play you could go down with an injury. You can do everything you can to avoid injury, but you must acknowledge that injuries are a part of the game.
Simply put, football is a game that produces injuries. Even if played in the most professional and sportsmanlike manner, players get hurt. I wish Tebow the best, and I was said to see him (and anyone else) get hurt today. But ultimately, injuries are simply a dimension of the game we love, and when we step out onto the field, we acknowledge that we might get hurt.
If you're a part of a student organization and like quiet places to study, try becoming added to the key list for their organization office. With offices being located on the 4th floor of the Union, you have wireless and a printer is right down the hall in the SORC. A great quiet place to study.
I had my first classic 9 before the Ohio State game in 2007. Amazing! If it wasn't the Ohio State game, and for that fact that I wanted to get to College Gameday, I would have went back through the line and got seconds, or thirds.
But what really sold me on No. 9 Hamburgers was a visit before a game early in the 2008 season. I told my girlfriend that this was the best burger I've ever had (she wasn't convinced) and we went through the line and ordered 2 classic 9's. Because we had a long wait (all of 4 minutes) you added an extra patty to each of our burgers. Now that's true customer service!
Now every time we go to a game, my girlfriend begs for us to stop and pick up a classic 9. She hasn't figured out that she doesn't really have to ask.
When watching a game on TV, I cannot take a piss throughout the duration of the game. This sucks because I must curb my beverage intake early, but its better than pissing away our chances. However, when at Big House, or a road stadium, I can piss without penalty during halftime or the breaks between quarters. For every ticket in hand, another case is slammed.

Even though asking insight from Matt Millen about football is like asking Rod Blagojevich for political advice, Millen has no choice but to be supportive of Michigan football and Rich Rodriguez. Since he's hoping to redeem his name (although that will never really happen), he cannot afford to make any more enemies from the state of Michigan. So, while I'm thankful I'll be at the game instead of listening to his "wisdom," I'm glad someone (even though its Millen) in the media will be supportive of the maize and blue.
