Every situation is different…

Every situation is different and I have 0 knowledge of this situation. But I'm a HS coach who has a kid a ride to practice or home after a practice or game. When a texts and says he doesn't have a ride to practice and asks me, it's hard to say "no" then hold him accountable for missing practice when I could easily drive by his house and pick him up.  Or when a 14year old freshmen stays for the varsity game but his ride leaves or nevers shows up, do I let walk home at 10pm (our city also has curfew laws)? It's tough. I try not to give rides often but I also have to operate in the real world where shit happens.

Michigan ran a lot of zone…

Michigan ran a lot of zone blocking.  Getting push isn't nearly as important as reach blocking is in that scheme.

The team I coach played you…

The team I coach played you guys last week.  Good luck in the playoffs, hope your QB is healthy.

All concussions are different

No two concussions are the same.  Anyone who mentions a standard "time line" doesn't know much about concussions.

MSP Experience This summer I was at a state park with my wife and two daughters(5 and 2 years of age). A MSP officer was rolling through and called us over and gave each of my daughters a coloring book and a plastic star badge. He spent a few minutes asking my oldest girl what she liked best about the park and whatnot. It was a very positive experience for my family.
I had this Injury 4 years ago

Mine was only partially torn.  I initially tried to "walk it off" and after a few weeks went to see a podiatrist (bad move) who took x-rays and put me in a walking boot for 4 weeks.  After the 4 weeks it still wasn't better and then I saw an orthopedic doctor who administered a cortizone shot and prescribed an ankle/foot brace with the disclaimer "it is already mostly healed, it will continue to heal, but it will always be noticable".

It took a solid 2 years before I could do my job and coach without a brace, and just this year I have stopped wearing my brace for my job, but still wear it when I coach.  I am a large former offensive linemen so that also have hampered my healing process.  I still notice mine when walking on inclines.  Hope yours is better than mine.

Bounce

Looking at the tape it is obvious he is a great HS running back.  I just wish he would run behing his guard on some of the traps.  he doesn't trust his blockers, and he may have good reason not to, but he bounces a lot of inside traps outside.  The "bounce, bounce, bounce" mentality can be tough to correct.

Under Armour

Maybe Under Armour is the solution.  I know they have a rivalry with Nike, since they originally tried to sell their brand to Nike.  Nike said no, then tried to rip off Under Armour's patents.  So, UA would have a dog in the fight.

Sniper Kitten?

Is this the work of the infamous Sniper Kitten that once targeted Vanopal?

Port Huron

The Port Huron game will be a good one.  Brother Rice is favored but the fact that they are traveling and it will be a bad weather game (Port Huron runs nearly all the time and less likely to be bothered by rain and cold) makes it a nice set up for an upset.  Oh, plus I have connections to PH :)

38-20

Michigan 38   ILL 20.  Late TD for the Illini will make it appear closer then it was.

M,C,B

1. M - This game isn't indicative of playing strong FBS opponents, but more an issue of bad timing and selection of the strongest FBS opponents.

2. C - I like playing the MAC schools because many of the players knwo each other and it's a way to get local schools more air time.

3. B - I hate this option. No one is happy about it and your reputation can only diminish from playing them.

Yes.

Yes, but I like the idea of giving the numbers to freshmen/redshirt freshmen to use throughout their whole careers.  If we give the numbers to the best players or best seniors, we will never have any more historic numbers.

Augusta's Film

Josh Augusta is very impressive on film.  It's his highlights so they are going to look good, but he shows good technique using his hands and disengaging from blocks.  I'm not sure if he is more of a 3 tech DT or a 5 tech SDE.

Interesting But, after watching Josh Augusta's film, i was very impressed and would be happy if he finished up DE recruiting for us. I think Augusta, LaCouture, and Mathis all project to SDE but we still want a DT/NT or two.
Comcast Just talked to comcast about the espnu blank screen. They said they are aware of it and are working on it.
Yeah. Time to panic. Yeah. Time to panic.
Get butthurt about recruiting

Get butthurt about recruiting much?

RBs are usually the best RBs are usually the best athletes on their teams. And i think Hoke has mentioned the same. You can sometimes position switch RBs that are not going to contribute.

He is still very young and He is still very young and can still have a good career. It is still sad for the guy. Maybe he could talk to other Michigan players that could jump early to the league about his experience.
Yes but i guess the point i Yes but i guess the point i failed to convey is that i dont think we will be forced to take threes. There have been games were our offense was forced into settling for threes. This game wont be one of those. Ball screens and backdoor cuts should be more open.
Great for Burke and

Great for Burke and the Michigan program to get such lofty achievments.  It shows future recruits that we can get our players national attention and respect.

If we are forced into taking

If we are forced into taking 3 point shots against OHIO, then we are in trouble anyways.  I think we won't have much problems getting to the basket and running our offense in this game.

Some have questioned his

Some have questioned his ability to break tackles because his highlights do not include many. I don't think that will really matter in his role in the offense.  I see him doing great as a decisive, straight ahead, pile mover in goal line and short yardage situations.  There are not very many broken tackle oppotunities in these situations.  It is mostly about hitting the hole hard and keeping your legs moving.
