He's served his 10-game…

He's served his 10-game suspension for McNeese and taken them above and beyond. The only continued show-cause penalties he would have going forward if hired would be:

No off campus recruiting related activites during any applicable April or summer evaluation contact period

Reduction in official visits by 4 during the 2024-25 academic years

No recruiting conversations or unofficial visits between Sept 1 2024-Oct 15 2024.

These are all EXTREMELY manageable. The guy just took McNeese from 11-22 to 30-3 in one year despite being suspended 10 of those games. To not even consider him would be a huge misstep

People ignoring him because…

People ignoring him because of the holier than thou mentality, but consideration should 100% be given to Will Wade

I feel like his comments to…

I feel like his comments to the player were fine and upfront. He didn't mince words and got straight to the point while also being somewhat encouraging.

'You’re 6-foot-8, 320 pounds. I know in my heart of hearts a school is going to pick you up in the portal when you enter. Make your weaknesses your strengths and keep progressing. I hope you have a great future, it just won’t be here at the University of Colorado.'

Could have been much harsher but also, if it were me, I wouldn't want a long drawn out conversation. Cut and dry. Say what you will about whether or not he should've kept him given the player's relationship to the school. We all know that Prime is out from Prime so he has no loyalty to the program and/or traditions/heritage. His primary goal is to win and by any means necessary it seems. Still I don't see anything wrong with the way he informed the player or handled it. If he's not your guy, he's not your guy. It will be an interesting experiment either way it goes.

Not sure why Auburn is so…

Not sure why Auburn is so much higher on NET and a 10 seed in nearly every bracket.

Auburn 19-10 (9-7); NET 37:

Q1: 2-8  Q2: 6-1  Q3: 8-1  Q4: 3-0;  SOS: 36; Average NET Win: 131, NET Loss: 41

Best Win: 72-59 (H) vs Arkansas (Net 14); Worst Loss: 64-76 (A) vs UGA (Net 150)

Michigan 17-12 (11-7); NET 55:

Q1: 3-10  Q2: 6-1  Q3: 4-0  Q4: 4-1;  SOS: 28; Average NET Win: 126, NET Loss: 60

Best Win: 81-46 (H) vs Maryland (Net 20); Worst Loss: 61-63 (H) vs CMU (Net 323)

Yes our worst loss is much worse but we have more Q1/Q2 wins with a harder schedule. Should they be ahead of us? Probably. 18 spots ahead of us and safe in the tournament (for now), doubtful.

Fighting the two other…

Fighting the two other biggest teams at the same time is a pretty questionable strategy. About to get pincered from both sides.

So now we are actively in…

So now we are actively in wars with the 2 other biggest powers in the game? What a mistake. We're going to lose all because of this. The sooner we make peace with A&M, the sooner we can actually make progress. Fighting a war on two fronts against two formidable enemies is awful.

Wait the tests pick up more…

Wait the tests pick up more deaths too? That's one crazy test

Davis indeed brings…

Davis indeed brings experience which could be vital for a team that will be quite young next year. However, I unfortunately do not share your optimism in regards to the trajectory of the team. During Big Ten play he has shown to be quite a liability on defense (particularly on 3pt defense). In addition his rebound and foul rate during Big Ten play have been very disappointing. I sincerely hope he improves under Juwan, but this is not an encouraging sign for me.

Edit: This is also in no way meant to demean the player at all just my personal criticism of his play during this season and potential contribution next year. I appreciate the time and effort he has given this University so far and will continue to give next year.

Guys....I hate OSU as much as the next guy but come on. Whether or not you agree with the outcome of the play, it would make ZERO sense for the official B1G office to not support one of its conference members in this way. Their job is to enhance to visibility and financials of the league. Supporting one of its members in a failed bid to the national championship game is what's to be expected.

Mo Bamba is the song. There has to be some sense of irony considering we missed out on him as a recruit

It's a game. It's all in…

It's a game. It's all in good fun. People get too up in arms about chants and boos.

Are we actually booing the entities they stand for or for their choices? No

Is booing saying that we don't respect them as humans or service members? No

It's a part of the game and fandom. We cheer and we boo because of our support for Michigan and ideally want to create an intimidating atmosphere to play in (or the refs just blow). This isn't directed towards any one specific person or a comment of our disdain for them.

Interestingly enough he cited specifically that we didn't have room on the DL for 2020. Are there any recruits for the DL that we are in on that we favor more? or is it that our depth is unexpectedly better than anticipated? Strange turn of events.

This guy did it. I paid and never received one. Buyer beware if the offer comes up again.

Speaking of posters, last

Speaking of posters, last year a user offered to send posters to out-of-state individuals on the blog. If this offer occurs again I recommend against it. I paypaled him the money for the shipping costs and never received a poster. Buyer beware.

Original post in case anyone sees this again this year.

One unintended consequence of automated vehicles

I was reading an article the other day (can't remember where) and they brought up the point that automated vehicles, if they truly significantly reduce the number of deaths and injuries each year would cause a significant shortage of something. This something would be transplantable organs. A large percentage of transplanted organs such as hearts and lungs come from those injured in automobile accidents. Obviously the lives saved from autonomous vehicles would vastly outweigh the negative of a reduction in viable organs for transplantation, but it was just an interesting view for a potential consequence.

Will continue to write postgame Michigan Softball posts on mgoblog. But that's it. Team deserves attention.

I second the notion to hire whoever made the HD app. The original just is not functional.

From the official announcement it seems as if it was a family issue. "This is a unique circumstance, but we are glad Adam came to the conclusion that leading the Michigan men's tennis program was the best decision for him and his family."

Overall not really sure. Strange situation.

For Pearl, MS he could wear Alden Smith. MS native and played at SF for him. Other than that local favorites with less of a Harbaugh connection would be Jerry Rice, any of the mannings, and Walter Peyton.

How is he going to make 3 camps on June 8? He's scheduled to be in Pearl, MS from 9-12, OH from 4-8, and at Paramus from 530-930

Third year medical student

Third year medical student here. Stage IV would represent a distant metastasis (spread of other part of the body) of the disease. Generally at this point clinical goals are not curative and merely to control it as long as possible. Once it spreads somewhere you will likely always have some cancer cells in your body. However, depending on the specific types of cancer and the grade of the cancer (essentially how aggressive it is) it can alter the prognosis. It could be months or it could be several, several years. Some can be controlled. Others not as much.
