|8 hours 3 min ago||I think writer is calling the midwest a barren wasteland||
Not the #1 college town in America. And I will say this. I want Harbaugh barnstorming in the South and West because there is a big source of talent there. I hate Notre Dame as much as anyone else, but the good thing for them being an independent is that they play all over the place (even if it's a home game against a crappy team in the Alamodome). If we're making our presence there in the Spring and Summer, I hope it yields us the same type of recognition/notoriety.
|8 hours 12 min ago||Of skill positions, WR has the least impact on W-L||
They depend on the QB to get them the ball. They depend on a good RB to keep LBs and safeties honest. Without those two areas, their impact is limited greatly.

Too bad the rest of the B1G has returned to being spiteful, jealous assholes who hate us to the point of staying silent while the SEC tries to block something that fellow B1G schools could benefit from.
I'm good with OSU fielding a team of Ohio All-Stars and MSU taking the bitter chip route to get some of the best of Michigan and Illinois. If we somehow land Dylan Moses or Cesar Ruiz thanks in small part to this Spring Break trip, maybe they will think it a good idea to once again follow the Leaders and Best.
|9 hours 59 min ago||Alabama? No one. LSU? A lot of teams||
They had no QB, which isn't a surprise with Les Miles' LSU teams. Any of the BCS teams that year could've beaten them.
|10 hours 3 min ago||Look at how many years those guys played in comparison||
Jerry Rice: 20 years
If Calvin played one or two more years, he would surpass all of those guys in terms of total yardage. He was the fastest to 10,000 receiving yards and first to get 5,000 receiving yards in a three year period.
Also, Calvin was a 6x Pro Bowl selection, not 5x selection, which isn't bad for being in the league only 9 years with the Lions of all teams. Look at every person you listed and you can also name the All-Pro QB or RB they played with. That's what kills me about Andre Reed. Dude was nothing without Thurman Thomas and Jim Kelly. And Lynn Swann kills me. Dude forgets he had a HoF QB and WR on the team.
The only reason you're hearing these bitter ass guys say Calvin shouldn't be in the HoF is because they had to wait forever to get in and they can't imagine a Detroit Lion with comparable or better numbers getting in before them.

I miss Alabama playing some of their games down there. Historic ball field.
I could see Harbaugh schedule a home and home with them all in the name of helping a struggling program earn some money since the mean ole SEC schools suck up all the time and cash.

With all that bagman money in the SEC, that's like English Premiere League.
|1 day 3 hours ago||What time is Finebaum on ESPN radio?||
Or is he just on SEC network? I'd like to listen to some college football talk on the XM radio and not the usual hacks on the Detroit radio stations.
|1 day 6 hours ago||They'd give him a statue if he does Columbus||
I actually would settle for him trolling OSU by holding it in Columbus...Georgia, just to let the mouth breathers in Ohio wet their pants for a moment.

I quickly read your original comment and thought you were talking about a different kind of Bush. I'm in a NSFW state of mind.
|1 day 23 hours ago||If that was the reasoning...||
...Howard is maybe a 20 minute drive depending on traffic and they play each other in football. You could take the subway from Howard to College Park without changing lanes.
|1 day 23 hours ago||Interesting timing||
Why couldn't this come out one week earlier? Not saying we would've had a chance at Greg Little, but it would've been interesting to see how some last minute negative recruiting against Ole Miss could've benefitted other teams.
|1 day 23 hours ago||Well that's kinda what happened||
Plus it's not as if Ole Miss was coming off a BCS appearance either. It made more sense to go to the school that puts receivers in the NFL even off of bad teams.
|2 days 48 min ago||Doug Williams||
People forget he was a 1st round draft pick of the Tampa Bay in the mid 70s. And he led them to the playoffs before he left for the USFL because the owner refused to give him a raise comparable to other playoff QBs. I think TB went almost 20 years without another playoff appearance after he left.
By time he led Washington to that SB win, he was near retirement age.

I wish we played Concordia on Saturday
|2 days 1 hour ago||You just made it a black v white situation||
Russell Wilson was one coaching blunder away from being a two time SB winning quarterback. And the NFL and other advertisers are marketing the hell out of him. With Peyton retiring, he's going to be the face of the NFL if he isn't already. Plus, Donovan McNabb and his mama had everyone eating up Chunky Soup 10 years ago.
Look at the top 10 QBs in terms of passing rating. Three are black and Cam is the oldest of the bunch I believe. Jameis Winston is the face of the Bucs and you better believe the NFL hopes Tampa/Carolina becomes a big rivalry with those two guys leading their teams. The NFL is looking forward to Deshaun Watson leaving Clemson ASAP.
There's no need to turn this into a black/white situation when there are so many examples that say otherwise.
|2 days 2 hours ago||Actually Cam was gaining a lot of respect in that game||
He was the only reason the team still had a chance. His O-line sucked, Jonathan Stewart was hurt and his WR corps was never great this season outside of Greg Olson.
People dislike Cam because he showboats while calling it "having fun". People like Russell Wilson because he can win with good sportsmanship. One acts like an ass, the other acts with class. And skin color has nothing to do with it.
And that's such bullshit to throw Brady in this. Damn near everyone outside of Boston or without a pair of maize and blue clothing hates him. Why? Because even though he wins, people think him and the Patriots cheat. Again, because of a perception that he's not playing the game the right way.
Oh..me and Cam Newton share the same skin color and I don't like his act. His buffonery and brooding personality when things aren't going well makes me appreciate Megatron and Barry Sanders even more.
|2 days 2 hours ago||Heavy on the MI players this cycle, still no OH players||
This will feel weird if this happens again. I have no problem ceeding the state to everyone else, but Grbac, Desmond and Woodson pop into my head. I sure hope the MAC schools turn into powerhouses so MSU/PSU doesn't get the Ohio leftovers.
|2 days 2 hours ago||Cam ruined the Shield's marketing plans||
Dude was about to be the new face of the NFL. I think that's on hold now.
|2 days 4 hours ago||And also upgraded their facilities|
|2 days 4 hours ago||Two things everybody||
1. The article says McShay "regretted" his decision. Nowhere in his quote does he say this. Next time, he'll notify his overlords to get the O.K.
2. Even Jankens, the author of the story, is a Spartan fan and a webmaster of the cbslocal website. So let's just say he was reaching a bit with his "regretted" line.
And I'm sure McShay's bosses knew what was going on before he boarded a flight for Ann Arbor. It was known days before the event that he was scheduled. Since his appearance we free, I'm sure he could've easily backed out and a replacement be found.

I know Minnesota is kinda awful, but we only won by five at home. This game is more important than the Purdue game IMO because we don't want to have a "bad loss" on our resume. Play him some meaningful minutes in the first half and hope you don't need him the rest of the way.
|2 days 4 hours ago||First movie I saw on "hacked" university cable||
Guy on my floor was one of the lucky few to get all the cable channels including the PPV channels (what's up Luke's Peep Show!). That was the first Rated R movie I saw. Kinda terrible acting but didn't seem to mind back then.
|2 days 11 hours ago||I hope the NFL doesn't change their early entry rules||
He's probably the first player I can think of that could possibly leave after his true sophomore year and be physically ready for the league.
Oh, and ICYMI, Peppers is totally too slow and short for the NFL. I think the young talent evaluators say he's totes slow. He needs his full five years for his body to mature for the league.
|3 days 6 hours ago||Shhh don't mention any dirt that happened under Carr/Beilein||
It might be too much for people to handle.
|3 days 6 hours ago||Unless they lose to Minnesota or Northwestern||
They will have zero bad losses. That's one less than Sparty (Nebraska) and a lot of other teams. And if Levert is back and looks to be healthy, the committee will remember this. As long as Mark Hollis doesn't channel the ghost of Bert Smith and screw us over, we should be fine.
|3 days 8 hours ago||Forgot about Shelton Johnson||
A lot of tools at GMatt's/JH's expense.
|3 days 8 hours ago||This article also mentions his wanting an M offer||
He'll have it hand delivered in a few weeks. Let's have a run on Dylan's (Moses or McCaffrey) in 2017.
|3 days 8 hours ago||He would still consider them though||
And it's hard to get a kid who grew up in Baton Rouge. He is looking at a lot of long distance schools so I like our chances.

There's a lot of blame to go around for this situation.
