or it was something handled by phone or through his agent. Coaching searches feel slightly less murky than SEC recruiting, so it's hard to know who's telling the truth.

Illinois promots 62 year old Bill Cubit to HC. He hadn't won a MAC title since 1995 and was fired from that job. Rod Carey (44 years old) meanwhile is coaching the most successful program in the state (Northern Illinois). How you don't at least interview the guy is mind boggling. He is not Tim Beckman, who couldn't win the MAC in three seasons there.

So this doesn't surprise me. I'm in favor of the 3:30 start time. Those two helmets under the lights look nice.

They were recruiting him and I believe a H.S. teammate for a while.

I just hate this. That picture with his dad just melts me every time I see it.

All the momentum is riding with us now. Here's to hoping that a day of CHAOS will begin with a win for the good guys.

I don't think it's related.

That's why their rushing numbers were so low. They should've stuck to the running game or been more creative with it.
|1 week 21 hours ago||Sparty still needs a couple things to happen||
Alabama and Clemson are in with wins.
Notre Dame, thanks to their name recognition and SOS, is basically in if they win out. Look at the coaches/AP polls. They barely beat Boston College and Sparty still couldn't jump them.
Oklahoma will also get in if they win out. Beating top 10 Baylor (on the road), top 15 TCU and top 10 Oklahoma State (on the road) to close out the season would be enough to keep them in front of Sparty.
If we beat OSU Saturday, it's going to continue the developing narrative that OSU was fraudulent this year and lessen the impact of their big win of the regular season.
|1 week 21 hours ago||Iowa plays on Friday||
For Michigan's sake, it's best to hope for Iowa to win on the off chance CHAOS happens on Saturday. And considering none of our recruits are looking at Iowa, it would be great for the conference's profile to get a B1G team in the playoff. There is still too much SEC love out there despite the obvious fact that there's Alabama this year and whole bunch of average and mediocre teams behind them. We still need to change some perceptions so we get benefit of the doubt in the rankings.

LSU football is Billy Cannon and the Saban/Miles years with a whole lot of average in between.

He was still doing the timeshare with Henson at that point in the season.

Seems to be a common theme for the past five years.
|1 week 2 days ago||If we want to compete on the Duke, Kentucky, Sparty level...||
...we need to get used to playing in these early season games. Blaming Delaney for this is silly. Sparty went out and beat Kansas in their second regular season game. Same goes for Kentucky over Duke. If you want to play with the big boys, you need to schedule and start winning these games.

It'd be a step down for those guys.

Sadly, he's the best thing they have on that station and he runs opposite Drew Sharp. He wins on every level by default.
|1 week 3 days ago||They'll probably need to be there more than 30 minutes earlier||
People will probably be bundled up due to the weather.
|1 week 3 days ago||Georgia (Nauta Bowl)||
I want to see us beat Georgia with three TE sets all day. Butt gets 150 yards receiving. AJ gets another 75 yards. Bunting kicks two extra points.
|1 week 3 days ago||Our short term and long term best interests||
Short term, it's obviously in our best interests for Sparty to lose. But long term, I hope they lose convincingly. A combination of that and us winning our next two games will turn heads in this state. For most high school kids, they don't remember our last conference title, so we need to show them that we're relevant now.
OSU will always get most of the Ohio recruits, but we need to get back to having our pick of the best players in our state. These next two weeks are very important from that standpoint.

Either ball hawks are all bone except the wings, or that's a dead WR who just got his wings.
My daughter did tell me that every time I hear a bell ring, Pep gave another player his wings.
|1 week 4 days ago||Strength of schedule||
If Alabama loses at OSU or UM in September and wins the SEC, they'll likely get rewarded over Baylor playing McNeese St, Lamar and SMU. If the CFP is going to look at the entire season, those early season losses to good teams need to weigh a little higher.
|1 week 4 days ago||Was posted yesterday||
I'm not sure why ESPN says it was posted 2 hours ago. I read this same column yesterday. They must have added a period or comma and updated the timestamp to make it look like they posted recent content.
|1 week 4 days ago||Rudock may be mobile enough to do the dicing||
I'm not expecting Denard 2010 to reappear, but PSU will likely not leave a spy on him. If Peppers is out there, they can line him in the slot or at RB and use motion to confuse the defense. Chesson in motion, fake the handoff to either him or Pep and Rudock probably has some green in front of him. I know it's not typically our game, but I'd like to see it either this week or next.
I don't think Travis Wilson is that much faster than Rudock, but he had a big game on the ground because we feared Booker and didn't spy him much. I think we could have similar success.
|1 week 4 days ago||Don't think this is worthy of a new thread, but...||
...our regional telecast of the Indiana game nearly outdrew the national telecast of Oklahoma/Baylor.
UM/IU: averaged 5.175 million viewers
The source is the newspaper that shall not be mentioned.

If OSU is blown up, how can we beat them next week and move up in the rankings? Repercussions, man. Repercussions.
