out of 13 seasons. That's less than 50 percent of the time. There were three other nine win seasons but we played 13 games both times. The first time was thanks to the Pigskin Classic and the other time was the Cap One Bowl in LC's last year. Lloyd won 70%+ only five of his last eight seasons.

They would be worn whether it's NIT or NCAA. I know NCAA is a longshot, but nothing is official yet. I like Postseason Uniforms better!

Can we have one completely happy thread plz?

If we get that call and win the game, we probably don't come out flat and beat Iowa the next week. We didn't lose another game after that and would have likely played Washington in the Rose Bowl still as the #1 team in the country. I don't know if we would've won that game because Washington blasted Iowa, but it would've been nice to play for the MNC in Moeller's first year.

He was in a cafeteria the Monday morning following the game laughing about it. Anything he says in public contrary to that is a lie.

I hope Riddick can turn into mini-Darren Sproles. I think he's shown the ability. Where I'm concerned is Bell. He fumbles too much and despite being the "big back" in the offense, he doesn't seem to run with much ferocity unless it's late in the game and the D is gassed (ie. Chicago game on Thanksgiving). I hope the Lions remember it's a passing league now and don't spend a first round pick on a RB. OL and CB are much more pressing needs.

Michigan had the game against OSU won with less than a minute to go in OT. Some UM fan who went to Eastern Kentucky, quite possibly the first instance of a Walmart Wolverine sighting outside of the state, started a fight with an OSU fan. Bad thing is that the UM fan started talking smack during the Sweet 16 game Friday night. He was asking for it. My dad got in the middle of the fight to break it up and he felt foolish when he found out the guy went to EKU.

Spartan Stadium always comes to mind.

...we have Detroit, Chicago, the Ohio cities and Indianapolis within a 3-5 hour drive. That helps a great deal.

1. OSU is still a football factory and does a good job putting guys in the NFL.
2. Wilcher is a coach of kids with those dreams.
3. We can't, won't and shouldn't take all the kids that graduate from CT.
4. Wilcher wants to have a door open for his kids to go to a football factory even if we turn those kids away.
OSU did what they had to do and Wilcher did what he had to do. Now we need to go out there and beat OSU on the field so we can beat them on the recruiting trail.

"Magic Man" Desmond Howard was the only "Man" nicknamed people I remember.

I could only skim through that awful pregrame show, but I stuck around long enough to see the artless transition from Beauty and the Beast to Howard the Duck back from the underworld.

I love all the cute Disney characters making the kiddies happy and then devil duck storms onto the scene to send them home with nightmares dancing in their heads.
Also, Senators = Spartans? I need to brush up on my Roman/Canadian history.
|2 days 23 hours ago||Felt same way after the game||
I knew that a mobile QB with a half decent arm would be trouble for us, so my hopes were tempered. I went out to dinner after the game and only had an "aw shucks" reaction.
Plus, I can't be mad at Texas for the Longhorn Network. The conference allowed it. Also, in the NHL at least a handful of teams do not qualify for revenue sharing because they have over 2.5 million households with televisions in their market (ie. Chicago, NY teams, etc). I'm not sure if any teams in other leagues have or can opt out.

Too lazy to blockquote, so here's the lead sentence:
"Advertisements on NBA uniforms are inevitable—the association logo is heading to the back of the uniform to make room, and the only reason a 2.5" x 2.5" ad patch wasn't on the front shoulder last year was because they couldn't agree on how to split up the money. "

They look too much like something the creators of NFL Blitz would've come up with. I have nothing to add about the spot-on comments about the designs on the helmets. If those aren't Dave Brandon approved, I don't know what is.

I never heard of the guy but he was slotted behind some stud receivers. Found an interesting article about him: https://www.alumni.hbs.edu/stories/Pages/story-bulletin.aspx?num=1304

He can keep his life. My life as a regular old student a UofM was freakin' outstanding. And the women that gave me kisses weren't paid by the school to do it.
|3 days 8 hours ago||Big men need improvement also||
I loved Max's effort yesterday, but he left 6-10 points on the rim yesterday. Donnal was in the same boat on a couple possessions. They established good position, but couldn't finish. We're talking about critical junctures of the second half. I would bring Juwan in during the offseason to work with these guys down low. Webber may have been the best player on the team, but Juwan had a polished NBA game down low in college. That was my wish for McGary before he left, and it's still my wish for the guys we have going forward.
|3 days 10 hours ago||Anything is possible||
We have one week for Beilein to get this team ready for Maryland. Win that game and it's two straight wins over tournament teams. Two more wins to close the regular season puts you at 17-13 (10-8) with may get you on the "Next 4 out" line. If they make it to the semis, that means two more wins, one of which would be over either a bubble team or an "in" team. That may be enough to get us in the "Last 4 in" category depending on what happens in the other conference tournaments. Our odds improve greatly if Walton is back in any form because depth will become an issue playing back-to-back-to-back days.

own a $2 million house? I get the sarcasm of the joke (and love it!) but I'm trying to figure out the math on that one.
|3 days 10 hours ago||Does seeding for NIT matter?||
If we have a winning record, we'll be invited. It seems like that's all that should matter unless we're hoping for a home game.
|5 days 25 min ago||At TE?||
Definitely. At WR, I never saw it. He might have above average straight line speed, but at his size, he might have trouble getting off jams at the LOS and then regaining his top end speed. It's happening to Calvin Johnson now. Devin should've stayed at TE and been an average at best blocker. The coaching staff screwed this up just like converting our best backup QB to a WR, despite having an injury prone starting QB.
|6 days 5 hours ago||He is why you redshirt some guys||
Kids don't want to hear that, but I think he would've been better served on the scout team this year.
|6 days 6 hours ago||Ready for the draft||
Kids leave early based on where they'd be drafted, not if they are ready. If he's still slotted as a first rounder when the season is over, he should go. I don't see him improving his draft stock greatly next year. Not many seniors get drafted in the lottery these days and the longer he plays, the more scouts will find the holes in his game.
I would like to see him come back, but I don't think he's so valuable that we can't be a tourney team without him. With him healthy we lost to EMU and NJIT and we very easily could've lost to Detroit. He can come back, but if the team around him does not improve, we're in the same spot next January living on the bubble.

There are those Seattle rumors and SF is their chief rival out west. Maybe SF is interested as well and he wants to know the truth about being a player in that organization. As a Lions fan that's grown used to being a Lions fan, I can't help but think of the anti-Lions possibilities for this meeting.

For all the trouble Winston has found himself in, high school athletes still want to emulate his on-field success. I think a nice framed picture of JH with Winston and Petty would be nice to show the kids in his office. A nice cherry walnut frame would be perfect!
