They have the coach we preferred and they win games. All teams have head cases and everybody murders, so we're even there.
|2 days 1 hour ago||RR was bowl eligible his last year||
That's a pretty low bar considering this is Michigan, the nonconference schedule has been set to make 6 wins very attainable, and making a bowl game has no longer been established as a reason to bring a coach back at large schools.
|1 week 3 days ago||Until we're reloading with deep recruiting classes||
I would like to see these guys stay at least three years. I don't think we have the depth established yet to sustain multiple early entrants. If we could have kept two of the three, we greatly increase our chances of getting past Sparty and putting some distance between us. With the way things look, we could be a Levert injury away from struggling to make the tournament next year.
|1 week 3 days ago||GRIII played like a first rounder in the tournament IMO||
His jumper wasn't a liability and he appeared more aggressive. He played like a guy trying to improve his draft stock. The only thing that will hurt his status is if Parker and Randle leave. It will push him and Nik down the draft order.
|1 week 3 days ago||Sounds funny when you put it that way||
But if Beilein would have basically promised him no more time at the 4, either Levert, Stauskas or GRIII would be coming off the bench (if Nik came back). So I guess you can have too many wings but not too many bigs.

That's why they're elite. Those teams were very good though. I think the talent was there up until the 2006 team.
Who knows how the 1998 and 1999 teams would have fared if Lloyd would have gone with Brady from the start and not played the 2 QB dance. The 2000 team was three fourth quarter collapses away from an undefeated regular season. And what is Henson stays for the 2001 season? So yes, I think the talent was there.

Kramer won a playoff game at least.
|3 weeks 1 day ago||It was discussed in the Fab Five documentary||
They wanted to be home. I don't think it has any relevance to the rest of the story, and it feels more like a detriment to Fish, but it's true that at least the Fab Five were not thrilled about the trip.
|4 weeks 3 days ago||We beat Tenn by mercy rule||
Up by 45 points at halftime, and advance to play L'ville the same night in the elite eight after the entire UK team mistakenly declares for the draft and hires agents.
|4 weeks 4 days ago||Wait until Sunday||
Either L'ville or KY will be glad to part with their tix after their team loses. Scalpers are going to have a field day with those fanbases this week.
|4 weeks 6 days ago||Maybe Adidas will design special uniforms||
Change up the whole color scheme so we won't be forced root for blue versus green.
|5 weeks 8 hours ago||I wouldn't pull that card||
The announcers spend a lot of time with these guys leading up to games. Due to OSU's success and Craft's starting for OSU the past seven years, Raftery and other announcers have had plenty of time to build up their man crush.
|5 weeks 8 hours ago||Would've preferred to see Sparty go down||
I'll take this instead I guess.
Until 4:30 hits.
|5 weeks 3 days ago||I wish they would've called the travel||
May have lost anyway, but at least that was more recoverable (sp?) than what eventually transpired.

Do you mean Alabama?
|6 weeks 8 hours ago||1997 and 2006?||
Please say no again PSU! Besides, doesn't the band have awful seats in the stadium? Far from the playing field?
|6 weeks 8 hours ago||I wouldn't want an ACC band in my stadium either||
So I can't blame them. If I remember correctly, they didn't have much of a band themselves when I lived there.
|6 weeks 8 hours ago||Hollis||
This is not Bert "F*@#^ing" Smith we're talking about here. I don't think he would risk the good will he's established with Brandon by screwing us intentionally. I personally hope that Lunardi's bracket today holds true. That's a knock on wood bracket because it looks very favorable for us.
|6 weeks 4 days ago||WCF was a terrible owner||
Just like the Brown family in Cincy. His employees may like him, but that doesn't mean he made the right hires. That means he's a nice person who made bad personnel decisions. That's how I will have to remember him from a football standpoint.
Under his watch, possibly the greatest running back ever walked away from the sport because he was tired of the losing atmosphere.
He allowed Matt Millen to happen...for seven season.
|6 weeks 6 days ago||Is this serious?||
He was a two-time All-American and second round draft pick. He also cherished his time in Columbus. I loved Bo and our coaching staff, but I don't think they could've made him much better than what he was.
|6 weeks 6 days ago||I'm going based on the HBO documentary||
In the doc, he said he was set to come here. I don't know all the stories, so I'm just going based on what he said.
|6 weeks 6 days ago||I thought TP's dad favored PSU||
And TP wanted OSU. I thought that was the reason for the delay and we were just happy to be part of the discussion in case PSU's head coach was forced out due to scandal and OSU's head coach was forced out due to scandal.
|6 weeks 6 days ago||Spielman wanted to come here||
His dad was having none of that. It's not always a bad thing to put your parents wishes above your own.
|6 weeks 6 days ago||Our LF situation was poor most of last year||
I can live with a platoon of Kelly and Davis if that's what we're stuck with. If they can provide solid D and hit .250 between them, that should be enough in our division. I wish Tuiasosopo was still here to be in the mix in LF.
|6 weeks 6 days ago||Trust in the coaching staff||
Pryor comes to mind when I think of someone who dragged things out like this. But he was in a situation where he could do whatever he wanted. I believe Hoke and Mattison would keep him in check or he'd transfer.
|7 weeks 37 min ago||Those Ray Jackson jumpers||
I was thinking the same thing watching the game. He really got off the hook because of the timeout. Fisher coached well that entire tournament, especially in the Final Four.
Even though Fisher's dad gets credit for the suggestion, he ultimately was the one who decided to start the Fab Five together.
People never give Fisher credit for that 1989 team, but I think Fisher did more coaching on that team than he gets credit. Frieder was known for putting the team together and letting his assistant handle much of the coaching. His substitution pattern in the Sweet 16 against UNC was masterful. He substituted regularly and used his TO's to keep the team fresh and prevent any UNC runs...something they did not do the two previous years they got bounced from the tourney by that school. End result was we had a fresher team that closed out the game.
|7 weeks 46 min ago||He had some killer teams in the 80s also||
And no Final Fours to show. I think Fisher did pretty good with two Final Fours and an Elite Eight in his first five years as HC. I don't even think it's Pot v. Kettle. Fish is a good coach. And I doubt any coach outside of Dean Smith could have handled all that talent and attitude.
|7 weeks 6 hours ago||Fab Five was 2 in 1||
Basketball Team + Cultural Icon. They were great at basketball and making Ice Cube watch our games. They didn't invent basketball, but they made it more popular. They didn't invent long, baggy shorts (Illini 1989 wore them), but they made it popular.
I won't justify anyone breaking the rules because "they were being profitted off of". But I will say that the lucrative Nike deal they inked may not have been as lucrative without them.
|7 weeks 7 hours ago||Who really cares if his name is on the school?||
Do you have an issue with everyone who's donated wads of cash to a school and has their name on it? Just look at our campus and you'll find buildings, schools and job titles with a living person's name on it. And they got their name there by making a sizeable donation. I'm not naive to think he's there every week or even every month for meetings, but that school does not happen without his name, cash and star power behind it.
Also, the school is in Detroit, not Southfield.
I lived too long of my life in the Virginia area around Robert E. Lee this or Stonewall Jackson that to get unnerved about a person's name on something. He got popped for a DUI, made his apology, fulfilled his obligation to society, and resumed being a very successful person.
All I need to do is look at Darren Sharper to appreciate what he's done and how he's conducted himself after his playing career concluded.

So I doubt this is available on BTN 2 go.
