I'd like to know why his scoring dropped from being a consistent 18-20PPG scorer to a 13PPG scorer. He's also on the wrong side of 30.
I could like this trade though if we receive a draft pick in return. While people may think NBA drafts are a crapshoot after the first few picks, it's still the cheapest way to add depth to your roster.

...like it was the first three years Frieder was at Michigan, Beilein would have three, maybe four tournament appearances. Conversely, if the field was 64 or 68 back at the start of the Frieder era, Frieder probably would've been in 7 or 8 NCAA Tournaments. It's a different era.
Also, Frieder lost to Villanova (NCAA Champ) and two loaded UNC teams in the tournament. It's not as if he was constantly losing to 13 seeded teams. Frieder was a good coach who was never going to get any love around here after the way he left and then we turned around and won it all.
Also, say what you will about Fisher, but those kids weren't paid to come here like other places. They came because Fisher, Dutcher and co. sold them on the program. What happened after they got on campus happened. And I still have not found one squeaky clean basketball program. They all have some type of stain on them.

Not a complete list, but these are Detroit kids who committed during the Beilein era:
Beilein has a terrible rep in major Midwest cities for his style of offense and I think it's ludicrous. But he has either not recruited or not tried hard to recruit the cities for some reason. There's no good reason why we have a better pipeline to Pickerington, OH or Fishers, IN than we have to Detroit, Chicago, Cleveland, St. Louis, or even Benton Harbor.

But their defense will be left out to dry if the offense goes 3 and out in 30 seconds.
I don't think it's a coincidence that their defense started sucking once Mariota left. If you don't have a QB that can keep you on the field and score points, your defense will eventually fall apart.

That seems to be the only thing missing in his arsenal. I'm still thinking that if he hits one one or two of those deep balls at Iowa, we win comfortably and he doesn't get injured scrambling in the fourth quarter.
And I have a hunch that if he is able to consistently hit the deep ball, then he's gone after next season as a high draft pick. 6'6" QBs with his mobility and training under a QB sensei are hard to find.
|2 days 6 hours ago||CFP is slowly killing the bowl games||
This version of the Plus-1 model has taken a lot of fun out of the other bowl games. They should have left all the bowl alliances the same, and have a playoff committee determine the 4 best teams after the bowls. Go back to 11-game regular seasons and you essentially play the same number of games.
Alabama, Clemson and Washington have played 13 games already, with a maximum of two more to go, so that's 15 total. You kill an extra non-conference game and the max number of games a team can play in the regular season is 12. Throw in a max of 3 more games for a bowl game then 2 playoff games and you end up back at 15 games. I could even live with just a Plus-1 model where the committee votes on the two best teams at the conclusion of the bowls. If they had that, the Rose Bowl this year would be between PSU and UW and the winner of that game would think they'd have just a good of a shot as the winner of the Sugar Bowl (likely Alabama vs. OSU), Fiesta Bowl (Oklahoma vs. Wisconsin or USC) or Orange Bowl (Clemson vs. Michigan).
The other bonus is that if you shorten the regular season by a week, the conference title games can be on Thanksgiving weekend, which gives an extra week to heal up before New Years.

|2 days 14 hours ago||Troll or not||
he was right. Peppers deserves to be in NYC. Articles about why he shouldn't be there are garbage. Hot takes on the radio about how he's a creation of the media are also garbage.
But in our biggest games of the year, and down the stretch, his impact was not as strong as it needed. I don't know what more he could've done on defense, but Harbaugh and Drevno failed at taking advantage of his talent. He's better than being a gimmick wildcat QB.
|2 days 15 hours ago||It wasn't Jackson's fault they lost those games||
Looks at his stats down the stretch and Jabrill's. Dude was still putting up video game numbers. Also, look at Lamar's numbers against FSU and Clemson and compare those to Jabrill's numbers in our biggest games. There is no comparison.
|2 days 15 hours ago||I love Peppers||
He's the most versatile player, but he was not the best player in the country. I don't see a game we won because of him. Take Peppers off our team and we are still 10-2. Take Lamar Jackson off Louisville or Deshaun Watson off Clemson and those are average football teams.
In our last four games, he had 36 yards rushing, 0 receiving yards and no TDs. On defense he averaged 5 tackles a game and had 3 TFLs total. Our other big game was against Wisconsin, which may have been his worst performance with zero offensive stats and only three tackles.
I don't want to bash Peppers because I think he is a damn good football player who earned the trip to NYC. But he did not do enough down the stretch to earn the trophy. If his head coach and offensive coordinator would've utilized him better, this may be a different conversation.

|3 days 6 hours ago||I see Clemson as a bigger recruiting threat||
I don't know how we break the OSU stranglehold in Ohio, but they're not as hard to beat down South and out West. But Clemson is becoming the cool alternative to Alabama for kids down there and on the East Coast. If Clemson plays for their second consecutive title, it will be even harder to beat them with our expanded recruiting footprint.

This was one of the luckiest teams in CFB. Outside of us, their toughest games were at home. Purdue, Indiana and Rutgers are not the type of environments where you have to pump rawk music onto the practice field to get ready.

I think Clemson was fraudulent all year and got bailed out by NC State's kicker and the ACC refs @ FSU...not to mention L'ville's WR stepping out of bounds before he picked up the first down at the end of that game. At least if OSU makes it to the title game, it should keep up the talk about the B1G being the best conference.
I'm more interested in seeing PSU lose by whatever score Iowa lost by last year. That would make me a happy panda.
|3 days 12 hours ago||Agree on points #2 and #3||
On #1, he averaged five yards per pass in that bowl game. They ran a very conservative gameplan which helped his completion percentage. He's had numerous opportunities to start and could not do it. Even in the Rutgers game this year, he threw a pick-6 that was called back.
Hopefully a change of scenery helps him out, but sometimes the 5* kids are just too highly rated. Look at the highly recruited QBs that transfered out of Alabama, USC and other big schools because someone else with a lower star rating or less experience beat them out. He has one year to prove he's every bit the 5 star kid and I hope he does it as long as he's not on our schedule next year.

Lloyd ball, to me, means we're not throwing the ball on our side of the 50 and definitely not before 3rd down. You could argue that Lloyd ball does not result in a Pick-6 or the INT in the 3rd quarter because he wouldn't have put the ball in the air.
If there's a complaint about the coaching, why not complain that we didn't bring enough pressure on JT on their final scoring drive of the 4th quarter?
|4 days 19 hours ago||I'm sure they could've bought those teams out||
We can't be the only school that knows how to reschedule a non-conference game.
|4 days 19 hours ago||OSU's pass protection + biased refs||
Don't want to think about it. I thought we went too soft in the 4th Quarter and earlier in the game when we had them in some 3rd and long situations. Then again, if they can get away with holding the entire game, it's probably best to play coverage.
Also, that article about biased refs is bunk. Maybe we're the exception, not the norm, but we get hosed like we're the Lions or the Browns.
|4 days 19 hours ago||Agreed||
I thought A-Train had a better career, but Tim's was hampered short by injuries. Both Tim and Wheatley could've had multiple Pro Bowl appearances if they stayed healthy.
Before going back completely to bashing Fred Jackson though, what RBs have OSU produced since Eddie George that were Pro Bowl worthy? I think OSU gets a bit too much credit for their NFL draft picks, at least on the offensive side of the ball, since John Cooper left.
|4 days 21 hours ago||The O-line underwhelmed in our biggest games||
Wisconsin, Iowa and OSU. We could not run the ball effectively in those games. When we had chances to close out Iowa or OSU, we couldn't depend on our ground game. Some of it was on the running backs not making the right cut, some of it was on the conservative gameplan, but a lot of it also goes on the OL play.
We need their play to improve significantly next year.
|5 days 15 hours ago||Have you seen Adoree Jackson?||
He's going to cover half the field himself. And JuJu and their offense will have a field day against that defense. By the third quarter, you're going to hear the same excuses that were used back in September about how PSU is still in rebuilding mode.
|5 days 15 hours ago||Why would I want anything with the OSU score?||
I would never want to see that score in my house.
|5 days 18 hours ago||Are you upset because PSU was jobbed?||
That's the only thing bringing me joy right now. Also, OSU killed Oklahoma on the road and beat two other top 10 teams in conference, one of them on the road. IIRC, they beat Nebraska by 50+. They are a better team.
After watching Clemson and Washington, I'm more upset because we could beat those teams and won't get the chance because we couldn't score two TDs at Iowa and the OSU refs had a chance to get paid while cheering on their favorite team.
|5 days 18 hours ago||Most knew we needed CHAOS to get in||
And as sobering as it is, we really needed Colorado and VT to win to give us a chance. The Iowa game is what screwed us. I think we all knew that.
If Speight could've just hit one of those deep shots against Iowa, we're probably having a different conversation this afternoon. Or if we would've ran the clock out when we had the chance against Iowa or OSU, things would've been different. We didn't execute when we needed it.

|5 days 21 hours ago||They must not have seen their QBs||
I'd hate to tell Wisconsin the bad news, but they were lucky to play OSU at home and Michigan on a crappy weather day. On a fast track, indoors, both of those teams would've ended all the drama before the 4th quarter.
|5 days 21 hours ago||Wins something?||
This is an annoying Sparty hot take. It's just as dumb as saying we're in the same position as Sparty this year because we didn't win the conference and go to the CFP. 2008-2014 happened.
Good coaches put their teams in position to excel at the highest level. He's done that everywhere he's been and done it quickly. Also, how do you think OSU would've done with banged up Barrett for The Game? Or what if Browning got hurt for UW three weeks ago? Do you think they go on the road against a Top 5 team and play to OT?
The last time we played a meaningful game of national importance was 10 years ago. 24 months ago, we were hoping the Harbaugh rumors were true and folks said it would be 3-4 years before we're playing for something meaningful even if we got him.
Sometimes this can be the most insufferable fan base in all of sports.

I'm sorry, but the committee has constantly said their mission is to get the four best teams out there. PSU is not one of those teams. UW would beat PSU by two TDs on a neutral field. The committee saw PSU win an entertaining high scoring game over a team that cannot complete a 10-yard pass.
I'm still stunned at Wisconsin's 4th down call. Why does David Shaw possess the bodies of these head coaches at the precisely the wrong time.
|6 days 6 hours ago||There's only one way this happens||
Since Wisconsin is slated to drop two spots maximum, Michigan would still have two Top 10 wins, and probably three Top 15 wins after Colorado falls.
If the committee is completely impressed by the quality of play in the B1G title game, they may feel compelled to give the conference a second team and based on profiles, our profile may still rate higher than PSU's.
Washington would have to drop out because of Portland State, Idaho and Rutgers.

I think the 1991 OL was better, look at the stats from the Iowa game that year. I think they had 3 100-yard rushers in that game.
The 1992 OL allowed Todd Collins to look like a future 1st round draft pick by giving him so much time in the pocket. And look at what Wheatley did in the Rose Bowl. He was given some big holes to scoot through.

We beat both teams and PSU was never a contest. Colorado would have recent wins over Washington St, Utah and #4 Washington. That's a lot better of a close than beating Rutgers, MSU and Wisconsin, who may not have their starting QB.
In fact, if we don't get in despite getting the "upsets" we needed, I'd rather Colorado go. Losing at Michigan and USC the way they did looks a lot better than PSU's losses.
|1 week 19 hours ago||Didn't Wisconsin drop a sure pick-six?||
We were a lucky they didn't convert on that opportunity.
|1 week 20 hours ago||Don't go back 40+ years||
There's enough heartbreak to make you decide not to flip on the TV until next September.
We have been screwed by FG's not counting despite going over the uprights...98-yard Rose Bowl fields...winds dying down in time to lose on a FG at the gun...phantom clipping call in a different Rose Bowl...a blatant PI not getting called as a #1 team, at home, with only a few seconds on the clock...Rocket Left...Spartan Bob...
I don't know if it's a good thing or not, but at least the bad stuff over the past 10 years have mostly been self-inflicted (The Horror, RichRod, Hoke). It's kind of nice to get back to having hearts broken by outside influences.
|1 week 20 hours ago||If this were any other program||
I'd be with you. But I have a nagging feeling that tonight, Colorado will be hanging on to a slim 4th quarter lead, and the CFP gods (Woody Hayes, Knute Rockne, and Spartan Bob's uncle) will force a fumble as the Buffs try to run out the clock and Washington will kick a game winning FG.
On Saturday night, VT will beat Clemson and PSU will beat Wisconsin and we'll think we're in, but the ghosts of Wayne Duke and Bert Smith will force the CFP Committee to vote PSU in because our QB is hurt.
|1 week 20 hours ago||If you listen to the radio chatter (i.e. Valenti)||
We should've converted on 1st and 2nd down so we wouldn't have to convert on third down.
We should've forced a turnover on 1st and 2nd down so the refs couldn't screw us on third down.
According to radio chatter, our schedule was fraudulent because we had 8 home games. I guess that's more fraudulent than playing a home game against Chattanooga(!?!) or South Carolina State(!?!).
According to radio chatter, we lost 2 of our last 3, so we sucked down the stage. Yeah, winning @Indiana, @Rutgerz and at home to no-QB, no-Malik McDowell Sparty is waaay impressive. And beating Illinois, Purdue and Minnesota is wicked good.
Radio chatter don't matter.
|1 week 22 hours ago||I don't think Wilbon was talking about Beirut in a nice way||
But considering Wilbon and blind ignorance go hand-in-hand, you shouldn't be surprised.
|1 week 22 hours ago||Another thing about "the spot"||
When I looked at the 3rd down run, it seemed like Samuel's knee was down a half yard or full yard short of where they marked him down. A more correct spot maybe influences Meyer to kick an FG instead.
I'm tired of hearing about the B.S. argument in my mind that we blew the game. Penalties are part of the game and they were not being called. A B.S. encroachment penalty on OSU's second TD drive, instead of a false start penalty, changed the complexion of that drive. The defense may have won the game in the 4th quarter, but a B.S. PI call extended the drive. How is it suddenly the defenses' responsibility to make up for screw jobs by the refs?

What a Beavis and Butthead way to go!
|1 week 1 day ago||He also said Beirut was a better place to live than Detroit||
He's from Chicago which explains the Detroit hate. He went to Northwestern when they sucked at everything involving a ball, so Michigan obviously dominated them. He's just a hater. I bet if Harbaugh was on there for five minutes, he'd be fellating JH the entire time.
|1 week 1 day ago||I was at Michigan in the 1990s||
I don't make car jokes about OSU for a reason.
|1 week 1 day ago||Not sure what their methodology is...||
...but with an ever changing CFP committee and no public statements by individual members, this is basically a shot in the dark. They're no better than Mike Valenti putting us #7 or #8 in his BS rankings.
|1 week 1 day ago||Why is that a given?||
Until late in the Carr years, we consistently outrecruited OSU. Harbaugh hasn't been on the job 24 months and has already landed one Top-5 class, and this one has the potential to be another Top-5 class. That's practically a wash IMO when you consider some kids transfer or do not match their star ranking.
Maybe Browning would've committed here if there was an extra year or two of correspondence with the current coaching staff. This is still a relatively new staff considering a lot of these relationships with top recruits develop over three-four years at least.
|1 week 1 day ago||UM/MSU B1G opener||
The ACC does something similar with FSU and Miami. They keep that rivalry game in October so the losing team has a chance to get back in the race. It's too bad that Miami's been awful to take advantage of that.
IMO, if we played at OSU in October and lost under the same circumstances, I think we roll everyone else, including Iowa, to prove a point to the committee.
|1 week 1 day ago||I also think we're in if UW or Clemson lose||
But if Wisconsin somehow rolls PSU with a healthy Barkley by 20-30 points, then I'd be a bit worried.

|1 week 1 day ago||You cannot prove yourself at Purdue or IU||
Who has gotten serious consideration for bigger jobs at those schools? Joe Tiller came with a gimmicky offense and landed Drew Brees because no one else wanted him because of his size. Without Drew Brees, he's Lou Tepper. His one Rose Bowl appearance came because Lloyd sat on the f*&#ing ball in the second half up 18 points.
You're better off as a coordinator at a Power 5 school than being the HC at Purdue or IU.

|1 week 1 day ago||Not a stupid question||
So what happens when the ref needs to throw their hat either for a second penalty on the play or a guy gets forced out of bounds? Or is it just the referee and not the linesmen wearing them?
|1 week 1 day ago||Nah, I doubt it||
B1G offices would've said that the camera malfunctioned.
|1 week 1 day ago||2014||
TCU played a cupcake their last game. #6 Baylor beat top 10 Kansas St, #5 OSU bombed Top 15 Wisconsin and #4 FSU (defending national champ) beat Top 10 Georgia Tech. That's why they were jumped. If OSU squeaks by Wisconsin or loses, Baylor, would've been in the CFP.
For Wisconsin to jump us (considering Kirby Holcutt didn't mention the margin between us and Wisky) they would probably need to blow out PSU and look good doing it to jump us.
Also, Baylor beat TCU. Baylor lost to unranked West Virginia, which is a worse loss than TCU losing to Baylor (similar to our loss to Iowa). If anything, they have set a precedence of using H2H as a tiebreaker when teams are evenly matched. That can help us against Wisconsin or PSU.
Like I said, if just winning a conference title was going to be the tiebreaker, they could've placed the teams playing for a title ahead of us. Since that did not happen, I take it that those teams have to do more than just win.
|1 week 1 day ago||Valenti is human clickbait||
I take his words with a grain of salt.
|1 week 1 day ago||And how is Iowa not in it?||
I don't know the advanced numbers, but they beat a top 5 team. Texas A&M had to lose to 10 games before they finally dropped out.
|1 week 1 day ago||I have a different question...||
What happened to the 1-3-1 defense? I remember more complaints about rebounding than defense. Syracuse is constantly in the tournament and makes deep runs despite awful offense because it's so difficult to prepare for their 2-3 zone defense.
I would expect the defensive play to be a bit uneven until the guys get more familiar with the new assistant coach and his system, but I thought we finally had the athletes to make the 1-3-1 a viable option.
|1 week 1 day ago||Wisconsin isn't jumping Michigan||
This committee has made it known that they place a value on the on-field product. It's been a month since they've beaten anyone with a pulse. They have only one Top 25 win and that was the first week of the season. Also, with Hornibrook a 50/50 proposition to play at best, it's not likely that they're going to win Saturday night with any style points.
Considering the multiple hours of debate was between Michigan and a 1-loss Washington, I doubt that 2-loss Wisconsin (a team we beat) is going to jump us because they beat a team we also beat.
If they valued a conference championship that much, Michigan should've been slotted behind all the teams in the Top 10 that's currently playing for a conference title this weekend.
|1 week 1 day ago||I'd do it||
Lose the wager: Watch Michigan in the CFP on your regular TV.
|1 week 1 day ago||In a perfect world...||
...the CFP committee would look at that video and equate the "loss" to OSU to being as good as Clemson or Washington's best win.
|1 week 1 day ago||It'll never happen...||
...but scrap the conferences completely. Play 12 teams, regardless of where they are, and finish with an 8-team playoff. Set up a point system that rewards tough competition, road games, and any other reasonable metric. No more weak divisions like the B1G West or SEC East.
And teams like Clemson would be forced to do better than scheduling Troy. Didn't they beat Troy by 6? WTF, HOW IS NO ONE TALKING ABOUT THIS??? We get crap for blowing out Hawaii and UCF and they scraped by Troy...and NC State. WTF, HOW IS NO ONE TALKING ABOUT THIS??? If NC State had a kicker worth a damn, we'd probably be #4 in the polls right now and Clemson would be somewhere behind Oklahoma and Okie State. Damn, that's a tangent. I'm done.

|1 week 1 day ago||Frieder's regular season record was pretty good||
His NCAA tournament record left a lot to be desired, but he was knocked out twice by UNC, which is no shame and once by a Villanova team that won the national title. Once the NCAA field expanded to 64, the success was maintained until Tom Goss screwed over the basketball program.
1984-1998: Two NIT championships and 12 NCAA appearances. That's 14 straight postseason appearances and the first NIT title came when the NCAA field only had 53 teams. That should qualify as sustained success.
I don't think it's false to say that Tom Goss, with a slight assist to Ed Martin, is the reason that we have not been a consistent national contender in basketball since 1998. MSU was not the cool in-state hoops team until Brian Ellerbee was given the keys to the program.
|1 week 2 days ago||That's why Kelly better stay at ND||
His schtick won't last in the NFL. You show up a grown man on the sidelines -- in public -- and you may find yourself in stitches.
|1 week 2 days ago||Not. Gonna. Happen.||
I believe UNC is about to be let off the hook by the NCAA (and they were definitely looking for any reason) because the cheating that took place apparently benefitted more than just athletes. Regular students could take the fraudulent classes.
|1 week 2 days ago||Are those complainers M fans?||
If not, that could just be jealousy or hate. Woody Hayes got away with a lot more stuff and was a complete jackass on the field. Bo would let the refs have it, but he wasn't that bad for the most part.
Harbaugh just has a bigger than life personality so everything gets magnified with him. And there's nothing else for people to talk about right now. Thing is, he needs to amp it down because referees are some thin-skinned people. I don't disagree with much of what he said after Saturday's game, but he needs to deal with those guys every fall. And I don't put it past them to have a vendetta.

|1 week 2 days ago||Would the committee consider this?||
I believe they're watching all the games this weekend together. If Washington looks like the same team that faced USC, even in victory, and Alabama looks like the same team that faced USC, would the committee review our games against top 10 competition to see who would have the better shot against Bama? Bama would be the definite #1 team with no more regular season games to play, so it's guaranteed that they would face the #4 team.

It would be OSU vs. PSU because PSU still only has the one conference loss. Now if you're going to slot the two teams based on the CFP, then that's different.
|1 week 3 days ago||When the CFP Chair was asked the question...||
...PSU was 7th (last week). I don't think OSU was impressive, but they had a far tougher game than PSU. If PSU plays at OSU, that game likely turns out differently.
|1 week 3 days ago||Delaney wants another CFP title||
He knows that UM and OSU are the only shots at beating Alabama. Wisconsin got blown out by them last year. PSU making it would bring all the JoePa stuff back to the forefront. As much as he may hate it, we also bring viewers. If there are going to be any shenanigans, it will likely be to slot us #4 next week so we can play Bama and the NCAA can get the big NYE ratings they desperately need.
|1 week 3 days ago||If Oklahoma beats OSU and Wisky beats PSU||
Then OSU will have beaten two Power 5 Conference champions. Then again, OSU is guaranteed in.
Man, this all feels dumb. If this was college basketball, we'd be a #1 seed out West and OSU would a #1 seed in the Midwest. If the CFP used the same criteria the NCAA selection committee uses to pick #1 seeds, we wouldn't have to worry about Wisconsin or PSU. Look at how many times UNC or Duke loses in the ACC tournament, yet still gets a #1 seed because of conference strength, SOS and passing the eye test.
|1 week 3 days ago||Maybe the Oklahoma/OSU winner?||
I don't think they'd deserve it, but if they don't want three B1G teams in the final four, that would be the only option.
But that would be kinda crappy considering the Big 12 was the worst Power 5 conference.
|1 week 3 days ago||The CFP has all but said PSU's best win was a fluke||
I doubt they will think the gulf between OSU and PSU has shrunk because they turned it up in the second half against a depleted MSU team.
I'm hoping PSU wins one of the ugliest games in football history to reinforce how average they are.
|1 week 3 days ago||If UW, VT and Okie State wins||
You'll probably end up with three B1G teams in the Final Four. That's the only way it happens.
Also, if you're Delaney, why would you want Wisconsin or PSU #4 when you know they would get killed by Alabama? It might as well be a bye week before the CFP championship game.
|1 week 3 days ago||The committee can justify Wisconsin||
They lost at UM by a touchdown (yes score was closer than the acutal game). They also beat LSU and Iowa @ Iowa, which we could not do.
But PSU didn't lose enough people to make up a 40 point loss to us. Even if UW or Clemson lose, we need PSU to beat Wisconsin to feel good about our chances.
|1 week 3 days ago||Agreed||
Regardless of where UW is after tonight, if they beat Colorado, they will be ahead of us next week.
|1 week 4 days ago||Wrong about one thing||
OSU was not penalized for their mistakes. Multiple personal foul calls were missed, as well as the uneven PI calls. If the calls were made fairly both ways, then neither team could complain. But the refs were blinded like they were on the road to Damascus.
The 4th and 1 call sucked, but if the refs called the same game both ways, I doubt OT ever happens.
|1 week 4 days ago||A&M lost at Alabama||
And by their crazy logic, a loss to Alabama equaled a win versus everyone else. Also, people did not realize the SEC was such a dumpster fire.
Also, the committee did say that if two teams were equal, they would slot the conference champion higher as a tiebreaker. Because of our narrow win vs. Wisconsin, they may slot Wisconsin over us if they win the B1G.
I can't believe I'm saying this, but I miss the computers. This might be one of those years where the computers could like us a whole lot.
|1 week 4 days ago||Only one issue with the logic||
If Wisconsin beats PSU on Saturday, do they get in over us? We beat them, so they should be eliminated, right? Same goes for PSU.
The flaw in the argument is that they make games at the end of November elimination games, but a loss in September or October loses its importance.
I think a lot of people forgot that Miami-FSU moved from late November to September/October because their game served as an elimination game. They wanted an early loss to be forgotten/forgiven/overcome by the end of the regular season.

|2 weeks 3 days ago||If WSU is the Pac-12 champ||
Then I'm fine with that. WSU lost to an FCS team. And unless Colorado beats UW for the title, they won't have a top-15 win under their belt. If UW and somehow Clemson lose in the next two weeks, it's going to get pretty ugly for the committee. How do you separate out a bunch of 2-loss teams?
|2 weeks 3 days ago||Predict this will be best OL performance of the year||
They have to keep Speight clean if he's gonna go. You know OSU players will try to touch that left shoulder as much as possible.
I am a little worried though at how much this injury will affect his escapability. Instead of extending plays with his feet to make a pass downfield, I wonder if he'll just throw the ball away instead.
|2 weeks 3 days ago||Maybe because he's a Lions fan||
We are rare, but we do exist. And considering he's played two games in 1.5 seasons since signing a contract extension, it's been frustrating seeing him and that contract not earn the money that could've gone to signing another LB or a corner last offseason.

Totally agree where this won't be a "standard" game. If we're going with O'Korn, we should use more read option. Yes, OSU sees it every day in practice, but we might be able to surprise them on our first drive if we bust it out. Also, I think we're going to see a diversity out of the Peppers package that we've been waiting for all season.
In 2006, OSU got the jump on us with the surprise aerial attack. I think Harbaugh will have some tricks up his sleeve. Bo used to devote a part of each practice for the OSU game. I think Harbaugh has been working on some stuff just for this game.
