I think this is a really good hire by PSU. With little in terms of sanctions looming over them, they could become a player in the Big Ten much faster than most of us thought when the sanctions were handed down.

It was a good season to start grad school at FSU. Michigan will always be first for me, but FSU's season has been a blast to watch.

I wanted to be angry, sad, bitter, and resigned.
This ruined all of that. And I thank you for it.

His ability to keep getting back up, knowing he was just going to get hit again, was nothing short of heroic. It was like a prize fight. They kept delivering haymakers right to the face, but he would just stumble back, collect himself, and push forward again. That is a great example of leadership for the younger players, and someone I am proud to have representing the maize and blue.
While it wouldn't have helped him take less of a beating, I would love to see him try to throw the ball away more. I don't know if he is scared from the interceptions earlier in the season, or thinks that he can run out of anything, but there were so many times where he was out of the tackle box and should have just thrown it past the line of scrimmage, so far out of bounds that no one could catch it (except Sir Charles, because he's a superhero). That would have helped change a lot of "third and half a mile" to "third and tens."

I'm in a PhD program in sport psych right now. My dream is to do that sort of work for Michigan. *cough cough Dave*

Going to be sitting in an academic building on FSU's campus to watch Michigan-Michigan State and then head to the FSU-Miami game. Seems like a good year to have started grad school at FSU.

Also, it seems to me thst the Home/Away distinction may be important to look at as the season progresses (and we get a slightly better balance of home/away).
I would guess during home games, fewer people are on the open thread, which may have an effect on the parameters.

It's pretty tough, but is a lot of fun. Have not made it to the jive turkeys yet. I'm stuck in Taco Town.

But did you know that there is a real Journey to the Center of Hawkthorne game? I found it a few days ago and I am hooked.

Starting grad school at FSU in the fall. I will be watching Michigan games on Saturdays. May go to a game in our bye week, but priorities, man.

Ridiculously earlt to think about this, but If it went to four pods after adding two more East Coast schools, which is what I think is what will happen, I'd like this set-up:
Pod 1: Rutgers, Maryland, PSU, hopefully strong East Coast team
Pod 2: Michigan, Ohio, Michigan State, Other East Coast team (probably not as good as in Pod 1)
Pod 3: Northwestern, Wisconsin, Purdue, Indiana
Pod 4: Minnestoa, Iowa, Nebraska, and Illinois
I could see switching some of those Pod 3 and 4 schools to create more competitive balance. Each pod is matched up with another pod every year like the NFL conferences do. That's seven games, and then we play one team from each of the other Pods to give us nine games. Or split up M and Ohio and and have a protected crossover game, though I don't like that idea.

I haven't been able to find much information, is this believed to be intentional? There's no way this is a gas main explosion or something?
Thoughts and prayers to everyone.

In that video, they didn't seem happy. Obviously they were happy, but they know there is a lot left in front of them, and they looked hungry. They're not complacent with the Elite 8, and I love it.

I don''t think he did it with melicious intent, which is important. He did something he thought would be funny without realizing how other people would view it.
This is based on absolutely nothing, of course.
|1 year 4 weeks ago||When I said "3rd down back,"||
When I said "3rd down back," I meant is as a general term for more of a change-of-pace type back. With a back like that, the most important aspects are blocking and elusiveness after the catch in instances of dump-offs. While one of our starters may be able to fill that role, I think it's beneficial to have a back that excels at catching balls out of the backfield and make defenders miss, especially since we're moving towards more of an interior-running, brute force style offense.
|1 year 4 weeks ago||Well, we still need to fill||
Well, we still need to fill the role Vincent Smith had as a 3rd down back. It would either be Nofleet or Hayes. I can't speak towards either of their blocking ability (guaranteed to be a step down from "pound-for-pound the toughest blocker on the team,") but I'm not convinced it's impossible for him to claim that role.

Who am I kidding, I had to buy it.

Love the idea as a regular feature, if you were up to it. Not sure how easy it would be to find enough stuff for a weekly edition, but if it were to encompass all of NCAA, I think there are enough stupid people out there to give you plenty of material.
