Starr came back to the Packers. It didn't go well.

I just looked at the box score. It showed that a senior forward for Michigan got 35 minutes on the court, put up 10 shots and scored 5 points. That's not ideal. Is there anything else to discuss?

Is 2013 forever ago? He was player of the year on tour and won 5 times.

I will confess to having been bowled over and obsessed by Tiger Woods since he was 16 and entered his first pro event (LA Open at Riviera). I now feel the same way I did when Mark Fydrich had fallen with injury and couldn't get up after several tries over several years. Very sad because They were both so damned entertaining and fascinating.
As for whether he was the GOAT, I'll throw this in: Tiger Woods won 6 consecutive USGA titles as an amateur. Starting at 13 years old, three Junior Amateurs and three US Amateurs. No one has ever come close to that feat.

We were just getting used to having them on the roster.

I watched the coaches last year and enjoyed the game a lot more than I would have otherwise. Lot's more viewing and replay angles including plenty of full-22. A big factor is the coaches themselves -- are they the type that talk too much or not enough and will one or two end up bullying out the rest. Brian Griese's moderating will be key to the show's success. Regardless, I highly recommend it. I might even recommend it if Michigan were playing.

He's OC at Boston College where I don't think he's being paid much. He seems like another pretty intense guy, in keeping with this staff.

You might be right on that but we shouldn't be talking about recruits' moms.

Easy on my Bears QBs. Hoyer was our best one but he got hurt. Cutler and Barkley are awesome too!

It's hard to fit a third team onto a 53-man roster. With a kicker, punter and long snapper, you've got room for about 6 third team guys, give or take.

Back in about 1988 I saw Phoebe Cates at a breakfast place here in Chicago. I was somewhat awestruck, so much so that I paid no attention to the guy she was with sporting a long heavy beard. That would be her husband, Kevin Kline who only a few years earlier played in The Big Chill and who's acting role at the time in a Steppenwolf play was the reason they were in town. Stupid me. She was already pretty much washed up while he was in his prime.

Assuming you're talking about doing an inground pool, there are basically three types: Gunnite, Liner and Fiberglass. I would highly recommend Fiberglass. After selecting the structure, you'll then have to consider how the water will be conditioned and heated. More on that if you're still interested.

Edit: gosh I thought this thread was about swimming pools.

I'm also wondering: are there cowbellers at any other UM sporting events? Does anyone know?
|10 weeks 2 days ago||this is awesome||
This could be the best OT material in the last year. Well done, OP and so many others chiming in. Being an '80s graduate, and remembering expert cowbell from that era, I'm wondering if someone before my time can report on the existence of cowbell and maybe as a community we could pinpoint the genesis. Don? Anyone?

No, actually TRILLIONS of creatures living on this earth die in every minute of every day. Old shit dies and new shit develops living mitochondria and steps in to replace the dead. that's life.

Until the OL can perform better than average, Michigan will not have made it "all the way back". When was the last good Michigan OL? 2000 maybe?

If you're going to use the term "trump", please don't capitalize it unnecessarily. It scares me every time.

At least that's what I'm aiming for. I found a practice facility about 40 minutes from my house that has heated tees with a sheltering wall to the north. Plus they have simulator bays indoors that I'll use once in a while to check on my ball flight and distance.
Wait, you are talking about our offseason golf practice, right?

Baffling to me that our excellent university has an official website conveying news and information about its athletic department that uses long ago outdated software. I guess budgets are tight everywhere these days.

Worst pick six in history has to be Gardner to an ND lineman in the end zone.

I would hope that any parent helping their child select a college -- athlete or not -- would help organize his/her search similar to this method. I don't think most teenagers are capable emotionally, or have the judgmental maturity, to make this decision on their own. How many kids have you known who went to the college where their best buddy or worse, girlfriend/boyfriend was attending? It's very easy to pick a school for the wrong reasons and not focus on the right reasons at all.

I'm not done with the piece and for the first time in my experience, I've interrupted my own reading because I'm laughing so hard I have to double back to the poster and say thanks for the link. Now, back to reading. If I can recompose myself. Treacly!

Anybody remember one of mgoblogs intrepid reporters (I think it was Ace) saying when he had press credentials with UM having to bite his tongue or risk getting thrown out of the press box?
This guy Lesmerises takes the cake. He and Bill Landis, the guy on the right, both appear to be wearing the same badges -- press box credentials. I think Landis is stepping off camera because he doesn't want to be associated with Lesmerises conduct. They're colleagues at cleveland.com, because apparently, only one credentialled reporter from Cleveland isn't enough to cover OSU football. As recently as last year, Lesmerises was an AP Voter. Think about that!
Hey, I know this is what OSU football is all about. Everybody drinks the koolaid or else, Herbstreit. And, yeah, UM's got guys on the payroll in the form of Brandstatter and Dierdorf and Ufer long before them. But these Cleveland guys are Journalists, no?
