Let me preface that words cannot explain how excited I am! ITS HAPPENED!!!! Now with that out of the way, does anyone think JH is a lifer and will retire as Michigan HC? I watched his press conference and got the impression he's living his childhood dream just as he said in the press conference. So part of me thinks he might be a lifer like Nick Saban, Joe Pa, etc... OTOH, it seemed like from reading between the lines that he's 4-5 years then back to the NFL type of guy and just wanted to live his dream for a few years before returning... Thoughts???
|1 year 2 weeks ago||Exactly||
Exactly what I thought the day he decommitted ".
|1 year 5 weeks ago||Quick question||
Without rehashing the "Dave Brandon let the B1G and Delany screw us", can anyone explain the 'reason' we have to go to MSU back-to-back years? Either way there's no reason the B1G couldn't have avoided this.
|1 year 7 weeks ago||Losing Kate||
Losing Kate Upton had to effect his performance. He reminds me of Terry Bradshaw. Everytime he was married, he played well and the steelers won the Super Bowl. And everytime he got divorced, he didn't play as well and the raiders or cowboys won instead.
|1 year 9 weeks ago||Agreed.||
I agree and also I feel he never trusted the O-line (and rightfully so) the last couple years even before the leg injury as he got to dancing in the backfield his JR year. Either that or he was looking to hit the home run every play.
|1 year 32 weeks ago||Jabrill||
Jabrill was/is more worried about the 7-5 record more than Hoke getting canned. Same with Shawn Crawford. If we had say a 10-2 season like we should have, neither would even consider looking plus we would have Hand and McDowell. Sigh. Hopefully we can win the bowl game and start sting next year. Go Blue!
|1 year 33 weeks ago||Hahaha||
+1 for that!!!! I about died laughing! Lol
|1 year 33 weeks ago||I said||
I said HOPEFULLY Harbaugh or Miles. I didn't say either one was but merely hoping that we can get someone who isn't a 3rd rate coach, who can only wow the kid's mom and eat dinner with them. Hoke is just a glorified recruiter standing on the sidelines with no headset on and looking like a deer in the headlights on gameday (except for the OSU game, he did an ok job.)
|1 year 33 weeks ago||Goodbye Jabrill||
Anyone who seriously thinks he's staying is on something. And I wonder if Hoke will drop him due to his "no-visit" policy. Lol. Just 1 more year til Michigan gets a competent coach. Hopefully Harbaugh or Miles.
|1 year 34 weeks ago||Any chance||
Any chance he looks at us if he starts looking outside the state mangus? If Michigan is "cold" then he better hope a northern NFL team doesn't steady him which is about 20 out of 32 teams. Lol
|1 year 34 weeks ago||Josh Rosen||
Any particular reason why he has zero interest in Michigan? I mean we offered him very early and I thought it would at least give us a puncher's chance but I guess not. Kid looks great on film. Best of luck to him wherever he goes.
|1 year 36 weeks ago||I remember seeing this picture||
I remember seeing this picture right when the game came back on from the 1st or 2nd commercial break of the game. My dad and I were literally speechless at a loss of words. Michigan has never invaded ANY stadium like that (even Sparty or NW). If thefans are going to do that every time Ohio has a better record than us going into the game, the B1G might as well put The Game in C-bus every year. That was by far the lowest point in the history of Michigan football.
|1 year 37 weeks ago||Saban||
If Saban went to Texas we can just say bye bye all time wins record. Texas would surely pass us in about 6-7 yrs
|1 year 37 weeks ago||To a certain degree||
But we'll be lucky to keep it within 50 since Urbz will be looking for style points. The only 2 things keeping Hoke from the hot seat is a lucky win against ohio in 2011 (miller overthrew a wide open Devier Posey right before Avery got the int) and the face he has Jabrill Peppers committed.
|1 year 37 weeks ago||*||
*And the fact he has Jabrill Peppers committed.
|1 year 37 weeks ago||Coaching||
Plain and simple. Braden Kalis and Manguson should easily be starting over a walk-on in Glasgow and true freshman in Kyle Bosch.
|1 year 40 weeks ago||The student section||
There are no words. If. I went there I would have NEVER missed a game.
|1 year 41 weeks ago||Gardner||
Gardner has a knee brace on his right knee.
|1 year 42 weeks ago||Dang.||
Dang. Well hopefully he can pull a JMFR and come back quick.
|1 year 42 weeks ago||Pipkins||
Any update on Pipkins' injury? I seriously hope he's not seriously hurt. He's our best interior D-lineman even tho some people will say Q-wash. But either way, would be a rough loss.
|1 year 44 weeks ago||Where's the better preparation||
Where's the better preparation you promised after Akron? But in all seriousness, Gardner lost any confidence he had left when he threw that 1st pick. He needs to learn to shake bad plays off.
|1 year 45 weeks ago||Sky high tuition||
I see what you did there. Lol.
|1 year 45 weeks ago||Anyone in GA||
Anyone in GA, know where I can find the game? ABC says Tex-KSU. Maybe an ESPN alternate? I'm not going to be happy if I don't get the game for as much as I pay DirecTV
|1 year 45 weeks ago||The players seem||
The players seem to be more focused when the game is at night instead of noon if you know what I mean.
|1 year 45 weeks ago||Exactly!||
Not only is Hoke a D-Line coach but so is mattison. That's what blows my mind. Quite frankly 2011 was the best year when it comes to rushing the passer. Seems like the D-Line has regressed since the 2011 turnaround.
|1 year 45 weeks ago||My thoughts||
The D-line is by far the weakest unit on the team after much deliberation whether the O-line is worse. Can't pressure unless we bring at least 6. What I can't wrap my head around is the fact Hoke and Mattison are D-line guys. Hopefully we'll see improvement.
|1 year 45 weeks ago||Sounds like stadium steps to me||
Sounds like stadium steps to me, in a big stadium to say the least. This game was all about lack of preperation.
|1 year 45 weeks ago||I'm really starting to question this staff||
Hoke's recruiting and Mattison's turnaround in 2011 on the defense were nothing short of remarkable. Michigan is recruiting better than they ever have in the modern era. With all of that being said, Hoke is a glorifited recruiter and clearly gets outcoached whenever there's a formidable coach on the other side. Of Hoke's 22 wins (including today), 17 have come at home. We've won 5 games away from Ann Arbor in 2 years including the Sugar Bowl. Hoke and Mattison are D-line guys and yet is easily our weakest unit on the defense. We can not get pressure unless we bring 6 guys on an all out blitz. That is disturbing. Similarly, O-line is the weakest unit on offense. FItz gets met in the backfield EVERY time he touches the football. There have only been a handful of carries where it can make the LOS untouched let alone 4 yards downfield. Mattison has yet to hold a team under 350 total yards this season. I really think the game is starting to pass him by. Mattison did great with the 2011 turnaround but the game has passed him by.
|1 year 46 weeks ago||Troy Smith||
That guy absolutely KILLED us evading sack after sack and then getting a 15 yard completion or running for 15 yards getting the 1st down. I lost a lot of hair during those 3 years.
|1 year 46 weeks ago||That would be like||
That would be like 2 mentally handicapped 5 year olds playing against each other lol
