While they all will play each other shelling out losses, I agree there is no reason all three programs can't have very good football programs at once. All three have good coaches in place.
If the argument is recruiting will dip for MSU it simply makes no sense. MSU just had arguably their best class under Dantonio yet only ONE player had a UM offer. MSU may struggle a little in state and in Ohio, but they have good prospects from all over the country coming in. Their rise in prominence is helping them recruit outside of their traditional base.

Coldplay has some bad songs, but the majority of their music is good - and in fact some of it is great. They do about as good of job as the "biggest band in the world" can do to generally produce solid music.

After not having a kid from Texas in forever, MSU actually has three committed for 2015 from Texas (Josh Butler, Tyler Higby, and Darrell Stewart). They also just hired Mark Snyder who was just fired as Texas A&M defensive coordinator. I don't know true intention of ad (though I think they ran similar one after Rose Bowl), but they are doing some things down there.

LJ Scott (RB) is consensus four star on all four sites. Lewerke (QB) is four star on two/three star on two. I think Thompson (LB) is only four star on Scout.
These kids are all good players.

They are having co-DC's in Harlon Barnett and Mike Tressel. They interestingly enough also currently have co-OC's (Bollman and Warner).
Rumors that Brad Salem may follow Narduzzi to Pitt.
|12 weeks 3 days ago||Their incoming class is quite||
Their incoming class is quite good for MSU standards (out of 15 commits six land in Scout top 250).
I think they'll be able to redshirt pretty much all of them. LJ Scott, their best "rated" recruit, very likely will be playing. He looks like a tank at RB and besides him they'll be leaning on some relatively inexperienced guys at RB (D. Williams who has played and Madre London who will be a red shirt fresh). Their o line should be solid next year which will help.

Leave on a positive-our Mich State commit tears ACL in a game-HC Mark Dantonio calls 8am and assures me that they'll honor their commitment!
Sounds like Dantonio did the right thing with one of his teammates.

That's not remotely true and you make UM fans looks stupid by saying that.
|32 weeks 6 days ago||Well, UM has had quite a few||
Well, UM has had quite a few more legal issues than MSU since Rather Hall so this looks pretty ignorant.
MSU did just basically release Jayru from his commitment following a relatively similar incident.

Do you think that is an ominous post or something? Think all he is saying is that he is not all that concerned about the people who think he should go to OSU being an Ohio kid.
|40 weeks 6 days ago||Considering Lewerke commited||
Considering Lewerke commited to them back in April and MSU can't say anything...it's very possible they decided to pull the offer months ago and in the meantime were still trying to help him get his crap together.
|40 weeks 6 days ago||Eh, I doubt that "very||
Eh, I doubt that "very reliable source". They got a good QB in Lewerke in the mean time...seems like they moved on months ago. Additionally, they can't comment on anything. Wouldn't surprise me for Campbell's sake they let him save some face by saying he decommitted.
|42 weeks 3 days ago||MSU has had relatively||
MSU has had relatively sub-par recruiting classes by their standards the last two years, but they do have Deyonta Davis committed for 2015...who is a 5 star on ESPN and a likely consensus 5 star by everyone soon. Kid is a dominant big man...very Paynesque. Ahrens looks good if he stays healthy. If Swanigan, Eric Davis, or a few others pop to MSU that they are in good shape on...they'll have an elite class. Very good start for them with Davis and Ahrens.
|2 years 15 weeks ago||It's not that bad...||
...they have some quality talent in there.
By the way, Ace, Damion Terry is a 4 star on 24/7 sports. He has had a superb senior year...looks like a very solid QB prospect.

Take it easy. Cooper was rated higher than both Dawson and LTT (actually ranked highest o-lineman or d-lineman) at SMSB by Helmholdt...the kid is legit. MSU also picked up Dennis Finley tonight.

I'll repeat - Michigan has never won the Big Ten Men's basketball tournament. That is indisputable.
|2 years 39 weeks ago||Ummm...MSU doesn't have any||
Ummm...MSU doesn't have any commits yet for 2013 so I'd hope you'd have a better class so far. The huge targets - primarily Jabari Parker - are still on the board. That doesn't even take into account the fact that MSU is in on four of the top 20 for 2014 - not even including the fact that Drake Harris will likely take a football scholarship assuming he commits. 2013 and 2014 might be Izzo's best classes yet...not bad considering 2012 was a Top 10 class.

OK, so Belein is not beating down Izzo in recruiting. Got it.
|2 years 39 weeks ago||Please explain to me how||
Please explain to me how Beilein is beating down Izzo in recruiting when he has got NOBODY to commit that has a MSU offer, while just this year Costello, Kaminski, and Valentine - all MSU commits - had UM offers. This whole thread has been quite entertaining.
|2 years 39 weeks ago||My metrics are on, your facts||
My metrics are on, your facts are off. Michigan forfeited that championship due to, you know, rampant cheating. Michigan has never won the Big Ten tournament.
|2 years 39 weeks ago||That kid seems legit. Not||
That kid seems legit. Not bad to snag a kid from Pennsylvania with Penn State and Pitt offers (according to Rivals).
|2 years 39 weeks ago||How is Beilen beating down||
How is Beilen beating down Izzo in bball recruiting? They aren't even really targeting the same guys...
MSU's prime targets in 2013 are Jabari Parker, Demetrius Jackson, and James Young
MSU's prime targets in 2014 are Cliff Alexander, Tyus Jones, Jahil Okafor, Drake Harris, and JaQuan Lyle
MSU is targeting some very high level players over the next couple cycles.
|2 years 39 weeks ago||MSU has two national||
MSU has two national championships. Michigan has one. MSU has eight final four appearances. Michigan has four. MSU has 16 Sweet 16 appearances. Michigan has nine. MSU has won the Big Ten Tournament three times. UM has never won it. MSU and UM are tied with 13 Big Ten Regular Season titles - despite the fact that MSU has been in the Big Ten for 30-40 less years. Plus MSU doesn't have a gigantic scandal that ravaged the program.
I'm curious about your metrics.

...Michigan football players and intelligence apparently are a paradox...
"University of Hartford President Walt Harrison, who heads the NCAA committee that oversees academic issues, said there's also interest in applying the cutoff to football bowls, which aren't run by the association. At 930, that would have affected six of last season's 70 bowl participants and 17 of 120 major-college teams overall.
Among the latter were six teams from marquee conferences -- Maryland and North Carolina State from the Atlantic Coast, Louisville from the Big East, Michigan from the Big Ten and Colorado and Washington State from the Pacific 12 -- plus newly independent Brigham Young.The benchmark will be phased in, Harrison said, starting lower and rising to a 930 APR over 3-5 years. Details will be worked out in the next two months."
