the just released schedules were a flat-out statement that the B10 doesn't believe SOS will matter in playoff selection

...they have some quality talent in there. By the way, Ace, Damion Terry is a 4 star on 24/7 sports. He has had a superb senior year...looks like a very solid QB prospect.

Take it easy. Cooper was rated higher than both Dawson and LTT (actually ranked highest o-lineman or d-lineman) at SMSB by Helmholdt...the kid is legit. MSU also picked up Dennis Finley tonight. http://notredame.rivals.com/content.asp?CID=1375721

I apologize for providing facts that disprove misconceptions on this message board. |
| 46 weeks 5 days ago | I'll repeat - Michigan has |
I'll repeat - Michigan has never won the Big Ten Men's basketball tournament. That is indisputable. |
| 46 weeks 5 days ago | Ummm...MSU doesn't have any |
Ummm...MSU doesn't have any commits yet for 2013 so I'd hope you'd have a better class so far. The huge targets - primarily Jabari Parker - are still on the board. That doesn't even take into account the fact that MSU is in on four of the top 20 for 2014 - not even including the fact that Drake Harris will likely take a football scholarship assuming he commits. 2013 and 2014 might be Izzo's best classes yet...not bad considering 2012 was a Top 10 class.

OK, so Belein is not beating down Izzo in recruiting. Got it. |
| 46 weeks 5 days ago | Please explain to me how |
Please explain to me how Beilein is beating down Izzo in recruiting when he has got NOBODY to commit that has a MSU offer, while just this year Costello, Kaminski, and Valentine - all MSU commits - had UM offers. This whole thread has been quite entertaining. |
| 46 weeks 5 days ago | My metrics are on, your facts |
My metrics are on, your facts are off. Michigan forfeited that championship due to, you know, rampant cheating. Michigan has never won the Big Ten tournament. |
| 46 weeks 5 days ago | That kid seems legit. Not |
That kid seems legit. Not bad to snag a kid from Pennsylvania with Penn State and Pitt offers (according to Rivals). |
| 46 weeks 5 days ago | How is Beilen beating down |
How is Beilen beating down Izzo in bball recruiting? They aren't even really targeting the same guys... MSU's prime targets in 2013 are Jabari Parker, Demetrius Jackson, and James Young MSU's prime targets in 2014 are Cliff Alexander, Tyus Jones, Jahil Okafor, Drake Harris, and JaQuan Lyle MSU is targeting some very high level players over the next couple cycles. |
| 46 weeks 5 days ago | MSU has two national |
MSU has two national championships. Michigan has one. MSU has eight final four appearances. Michigan has four. MSU has 16 Sweet 16 appearances. Michigan has nine. MSU has won the Big Ten Tournament three times. UM has never won it. MSU and UM are tied with 13 Big Ten Regular Season titles - despite the fact that MSU has been in the Big Ten for 30-40 less years. Plus MSU doesn't have a gigantic scandal that ravaged the program. I'm curious about your metrics.

...might want to check with the women he brings back to his condo... |
| 1 year 39 weeks ago | At least MSU... |
...didn't actually have the biggest college basketball scandal in history. Just sayin'. |
| 1 year 39 weeks ago | If the team GPA improved - |
If the team GPA improved - and they still wouldn't have qualified for a bowl last year under these new rules - I can't imagine how stupid the team must have been a few years ago. |
| 1 year 39 weeks ago | Just like... |
...Michigan football players and intelligence apparently are a paradox... "University of Hartford President Walt Harrison, who heads the NCAA committee that oversees academic issues, said there's also interest in applying the cutoff to football bowls, which aren't run by the association. At 930, that would have affected six of last season's 70 bowl participants and 17 of 120 major-college teams overall. Among the latter were six teams from marquee conferences -- Maryland and North Carolina State from the Atlantic Coast, Louisville from the Big East, Michigan from the Big Ten and Colorado and Washington State from the Pacific 12 -- plus newly independent Brigham Young. The benchmark will be phased in, Harrison said, starting lower and rising to a 930 APR over 3-5 years. Details will be worked out in the next two months."

| 1 year 41 weeks ago | What did MSU do wrong? |
He never enrolled and people knew he wasn't going to go to MSU months ago. If anything, it shows that MSU saw his character issues and didn't let him in. |

Well, MSU did win the national title a few years back and he did score the game winner with 20 seconds left. (Meant for VictorsValiant...sorry, gents). |
| 1 year 43 weeks ago | Yes, UM clearly is famous for |
Yes, UM clearly is famous for their winged helmets. That is not debatable - they are classic. Nonetheless, I fail to see how MSU "envy" is shown here. MSU had this type of winged helmet before UM ever had their version. MSU is honoring their history. |
| 1 year 43 weeks ago | Considering MSU had winged |
Considering MSU had winged helmets before Michigan, I'm not quite following your point...
