Agree. By far the greatest omission in OP's hate distribution. I (a lifelong Duke fan, yes, yes, I will get the fuck out, just a minute) would go with:
1. Ohio State
3. Notre Dame

List got me curious about state per-capita rates. Michigan is at 0.8 top-300 player per million population. Ohio is at 1 top-300 player per million population. I know Ohio is deeper but I would have expected a bigger gap at the top, too.
Other interesting per-capita numbers: Texas even with Utah (!) at 1.7 per million, California lower than I'd have guessed at 0.8 per million, Louisiana at 2.4 per million, Alabama at 2.7 per million, and Georgia apparently lapping the field with 3.4 per million.
Also, because I am a homer, I have to point out that this year Maryland is at a pretty dang strong 1.3 top-300 players per million population. Suck it Ohio.

Joshua Lawrence Chamberlain. College professor who joined the Union Army during the Civil War and ended up leading the fixed-bayonets charge at Little Round Top that saved the Union line during Gettysburg. Nearly killed in action during Petersburg but recovered and returned to service; wounded six times overall. Promoted again and again to the point where he was the general who was the general who received Lee's surrender at Appomatox. After the war he became governor of Maine, then returned to Bowdoin College, becoming president after teaching every subject at the college except math.
My hero since I was 11 years old and first learned who he was.

|2 weeks 1 day ago||An observation: A lot of the||
A lot of the low-star kids that Harbaugh has offered so far will see their rankings rise in the fall. Michigan was, in most cases, their first high-major offer. The fact of that offer will attract more scrutiny from the services, and they'll go from no stars to three or maybe even four in some cases. And that will attract interest from strong programs closer to home.
So I bet at least a few of these lower-ranked, far-flung guys will decommit between now and national signing day next year. Yet another reason to ridicule people who are frustrated that we're not only offering five-stars.

Seems like a bit of a disservice to the Rivals/247/Scout/ESPN staff to call them armchair experts. They're busting their asses watching tape and going to watch kids play in person, too. And as we all know, star rating actually does correlate pretty strongly with college and pro success on an individual level and on a team/aggregate. So they must be doing something right.
That said, I hope very much that you are right and that Jim Harbaugh is the world's greatest diamond-in-the-rough finder. Trust in Harbaugh. Harbaugh.

Morally pure? What are we, Buddhist monks? Michigan might be better than some but we are absolutely playing the game. Aspiring to moral purity is ludicrous in the context of profitable NCAA sports.
