I didn't think the

I didn't think the documentary reflected great on Michigan.  Kinda took the shine off of Michigan, and I'm a Michigan fan.  If I were an outsider, I don't think it'd make me interested in Michigan.

JOK and WS were softies.  No wonder they both stunk.

Speight's girlfriend was annoying.  Who talks in twitter lingo?  At dinner, she goes 'Retweet' after WS said the season was passing by too fast.  Another time she goes 'hashtag' something something.

Jack Harbaugh had the best speech of the entire year.  I hope I have half  that much fire at his age.

Harbz having an offense that

Harbz having an offense that taks a QB 2 years to fully grasp shouldn't be a source of pride, but rather shame; especially if it still doesn't work!

This isn't 1997, and freshmen should be competing for playing at all positions, including QB.  The offense needs to be designed in a way that can be well run by a freshman, or even backup freshman QB, as we saw in both teams tonight.

A good program should be losing players when they're draft eligible, it's a sign they and the program are good.  These vacancies should be filled with minimal consternation.

Michigan isn't remotely close to either of these teams.  OSU is in the conversation.

haha you know the meat itself

haha you know the meat itself is not very tasty when all this has to be done!

BBQ was invented in order to make crap cuts of bad meat, edible!  Enough low and slow, smoke, sauce, and cider and one could choke down shoe leather!

Neeeerrrrrddddd.
Get a life

Neeeerrrrrddddd.

Get a life and find some hobbies that don't involve getting emotionally involved in a bunch of fit men chasing a ball around.

The guys taking Michigan football the most seriously seem to be the guy who've never played football.

Michigan will start bringing

Michigan will start bringing all this type equipment to drivable away games, from now on.  Portable AC units, medical equipment (tables, braces, shit, maybe even portable X-ray machines, portable toilets?), etc.

It's like when you start making real cash, the antics of your cheap neighbors start to wear on you and you begin looking at moving to a nicer neighborhood.  Same with Michigan.  Purdue is the low life neighbor who got into the gentrified neighborhood 30 years ago and hasn't left.

You can really only count on yourself in this life, so if you don't want to rely on the kindess of an opponent to supply adequate equipment, bring your own.

I'd love to see Michigan supply great visitor's equipment.  And then proceed to beat the shit out of the visitors.

We've probably all played schools that had great facilities, and it threw you off when the visitor's locker rooms were nicer than your home ones.  And then you usually got crushed on the field.

Great idea on the app!

I live in DFW, and I'm not going to the game.  I hate these neutral site games in an NFL stadium with a passion and Arlington blows.

Besides a grocery store,

Besides a grocery store, haven't been to a retail store in ages.  There's a reason they're dying and online is the future!

Seriously why would customers put up with this business model?

- Customer drives to store.  Customer finds, loads, and transports items to checkout.  Oftentimes, customer then checks out items and bags items.  Customer loads items into vehicle.  Customer then unloads items from vehicle and transports items into home.  Customer then unpacks items and puts items into final storage space.

It's a great business model from a business's point of view, but terrible from a customer's.

Online:

-Customer finds item online. After a few clicks, item is ordered.  A couple days later, item arrives at home and customer unpacks and puts items in final storage space.

You have a thing for

You have a thing for Humperdinks?

Place is a lame chain, basically a sports themed Applebees.  Though if you need to stay near the stadium, there are really only lame chains around there.

It's a solid 30 on a good

It's a solid 30 on a good day.  Game day, I'd budget an hour from door to door.

Wake up, chill inside at your

Wake up, chill inside at your house or bar, drink beers and watch the game on TV.  Save a bunch of money, eat better food, have drinks at your fingertips, and use a clean restroom.  It'll be better than tailgating outside in the Jerryworld parking lot and then watching the game on a big TV there.

Agreed.  They should relegate

Agreed.  They should relegate the B12 for a couple years.

Now that Baylor has cratered, I think Okie State and OU are picking up the torch for most hyped team until the last month of the season.

Live in DFW regretfully,

Live in DFW regretfully, can't suggest going.

There's a reason tickets are still available, and there'll be empty seats, its that the gameday experience at Jerry World isn't good and DFW isn't a compelling place to visit.

'Do I stay in Dallas or Fort Worth?' 'Is there an easy way to get to the game since it's in Arlington, halfway between the two cities?' 'What is tailgating like?' 'It's going to be hot.' 'What are other attractions that I can see while in town?'

The idiots in charge of things here put the stadium in the middle of the Metroplex in a shitty part, so it's a PITA for everyone to get to, and no one wants to stay there for long.  Because it's TX, there's a rail line that goes past the stadium, but of course doesn't stop there.  Since the stadium is in a shitty part of DFW, the tailgating scene consists of treeless parking lots surrounded by a Wall-Mart (yes, really) and chain restaurants that are so beloved here.  Factor in the TX heat on Labor Day weekend, and you'll be baking in a frying pan before the game.  When you're not at the game you can spend 5 minutes seeing Dallas' only attraction, the place where DFK got shot.  You can drive 40 minutes to Ft Worth and see a bunch of fake cowboys for the other 5 minutes.  Go have some 'great' BBQ, which you'll realize really doesn't taste any different than normal BBQ.  Cook anything long enough and put enough sauce on it and it'll all taste the same.

Welcome to DFW!

This is why it's important to

This is why it's important to have some sort of interests or hobbies.  I bet Ron doesn't have any.  Hunting, fishing, tinkering, DIY, golf, whatever.  Something outside of work that gets you out of the house and in Ron's case, away from your nagging wife.

I'm young, but I've heard

I'm young, but I've heard enough stories of charities having money embezzled, or only a small part of donations actually going to the cause, that I've stopped giving money to all of them.  It's true, power corrupts and people can't handle access to money.

Yes, I know, there's one that you know about that isn't like that, and not like the rest.  You're a special snowflake.

I'll donate time, clothes, stuff like that, but suckers donating money are born evey day apparently.

Good God, I'm 30 so hearing

Good God, I'm 30 so hearing people in their 40s storing things on their own hard drives, using Yahoo email addresses, and other tomfoolery makes me cringe.

Life, and technology, come at you fast.  Yeesh.

every person should travel

every person should travel when they're young.  Too many people say 'i'll do it later' and later never comes.  You don't want to be the 60-70 year old getting on the plane bound for europe.  It's hard enough doing that when you're young.

You'd take JP over those guys

You'd take JP over those guys because you're a Michigan homer.  Nothing wrong with that, but its clouding your judgement.

I'll say it.  He's

I'll say it.  He's realistically a 2-3rd rounder.  Been skating on hype since he got here, into the Heisman conversation, and it seems into the NFL draft.  Sure, had some TDs and return yards against bad teams, but wasn't the Woodson type game changer the hype army wanted you to think he was.  He had 1 INT.  His best quality was making other teams believe he was some unstoppable force.

In the NFL he's undersized and DEs are only a step behind him.  His ball skills will get exposed and he'll be average as a small coverage LB or a run supporting safety.  But you're not looking for average when you draft a 1st rounder.

My god.  Never getting on a

My god.  Never getting on a bike of any kind again.

Good reminder!
Incredible

Good reminder!

Incredible they didn't put a light rail stop near the baseball or football stadiums, Jerruh just needs to get his hands on that parking money!

So yea, take the TRE, then take an Uber.  Or, just don't come, and save your money to go to a game in AA.

Couldn't agree more.  Headed

Couldn't agree more.  Headed to AA for the Minnesota game in 2017.

DFW is finding out that people aren't itching to come here, even for a bowl game in Dec/Jan.  I don't blame them.  The weather can be spotty; 75F one day, ice/rain/tornadoes the next, and there's no beach or ocean that FL or CA have that you can 'vacation' at for non-football days.  Jerry World was an attraction in itself in 2010, now it's becoming the norm, and the gameday experience is severely lacking and involves terrible logistics.

I live in DFW, on a lake east

I live in DFW, on a lake east of dallas, but I'll be dove hunting or out on my boat instead of at the game.  Cowboys and Rangers stadiums symbolize the worst things about American sports as far as a fan experience; away from city center, middle of parking lot, poor tailgating atmostphere, etc.

Regardless, I'll outline some points:

- Jerry World is pretty much equidistance from Ft Worth, downtown Dallas, and DFW airport.  All 3 areas have hotels you can stay at.  I wouldn't stay at a hotel around the stadium, it'd be boring, for the same reasons the gameday atmosphere is lame.

- If staying in Dallas, go out in Uptown, that's where the bar action is.  Lower key, with more restaurants, is Oak Lawn area.  West 7th is Ft Worth's version of Uptown.  Downtown Dallas is getting better, but there's not enough there yet to make it a destination, and I lived there for a couple years.

- Food: BBQ gets people fired up down here, some notables are Hard 8, Pecan Lodge.  Everyone has their pet place they claim is the best.  IMO, if you smoke anything long enough and with enough sauce, it'll be edible.

- Weather: It'll be hot, probably upper 90s.

- Tailgating at Jerry World: Pretty lame.  A bunch of parking lots, with the worst of American suburbia around them (Wal-mart, literally, chain restaurants, etc).  You'll want to find some shade, or be in the AC at one of the lame pubs nearby.

Hope that helps! Go Blue!

If a guy wants to become an

If a guy wants to become an NFL player, he better learn to adapt to the cold.

How many NFL teams are in cold climates and have outdoor stadiums?  It's easier to name the ones that aren't in cold climates and are indoors.  Regardless, warm weather teams will have to play in the cold at some point.  OBJ plays at LSU, then for the Giants and runs around without sleeves in January.

Spend 4 years in the cold prepping for a successful NFL career playing in cold weather, during which you'll have an offseason place in Miami and retire in LA.

This is why I don't buy the SEC's argument that kids don't/shouldn't want to play their college ball up north.  In fact, if they had some foresight, they wouldn't want to play down south!

Pats don't draft that well.

Pats don't draft that well.  They find NFL players that'll fit their system extremely well.

Never watch anything live

Never watch anything live anymore.  It's DVR always, FF through commercials and fluff (video reviews, XPA, injuries, hell, I'll even watch the game on 1xFF if I'm not particularly interested).

Rather than living my life around TV, it should revolve around mine.

Why is everyone freaking

Why is everyone freaking out?

This is more on York than Lynch.  If you're Lynch, you have nother to lose.  You're probably bored, have plenty of money, and this allows to do a job you'd otherwise have to wait 10 more years for.  It's a fast fail.  SF is already a disaster, so it can't really get worse.  I like the move on Lynch's part.

Totally agree.
All inclusives

Totally agree.

All inclusives and cruises are for grown up children.  They either don't know how, or can't, plan their own trips and just want other people to take them places and tell them when/where to eat.  Again, they either don't know or don't care that they are just cattle being run through the same weekly routine being gouged for substandard wares.

With the internet and Airbnb, there's no excuse besides laziness to not be able to plan your own trips.

Going to the team that drafts

Going to the team that drafts him? That'd be my guess

I'll get killed for saying

I'll get killed for saying this but, in 10 years we'll barely remember him.

Played 2 years, no bowls, had 1 INT, no real signature moments, was a run stuffing safety/LB hybrid that returned some kicks.  Mostly racked up stats against our poorer opponents.  IMO, never lived up to his hype.  Maybe the hype was impossibly big.

We'll see where he goes in the draft.  I'd be very surprised if he went first 2 rounds.  He's a small LB, and a safety with marginal coverage skills.  His career will largely be determined by who drafts him and if they use him correctly.

I hope Texas found out that I hope Texas found out that kelly wasnt coming back to college. They need a guy like him. Herman is a reach, is like strong 2.0.

This.  So nice not to hear

This.  So nice not to hear about her.  She's not HAWWWT MANN...she's a wimp when she gets beat and evidently she's not a great fighter.  Aka, nothing special.

Id be surprised if he went Id be surprised if he went 1st 2 rounds.
Cant cover, too small for LB.
Was product of hype machine here. Will remember him as much as Morgan Trent in 5 years.

Conversely, you take for granted the quality of people you worked with at Michigan. It took several years to get used to this in the working world.

Amateur Hours

NYE, St Patty's, Halloween, etc are amateur hours.  Every bridge and tunneler and their cousin is coming into town and since they only make the trip 4x per year, they don't know how things work and just act a fool.

Best plans: have a friend with a sick pad, get invited over, drink better/cheaper booze, use cleaner/more private bathrooms, and get to hang out with people you actually want to be around.  Added bonus is if you get to crash at the house.

Seriously, those days can be fun, but often are like prom.  Built up to the moon but often disappoint.

Is McCaffrey even that good,

Is McCaffrey even that good, and even projected very high?

He seems like the typical above average college player that is a mid round pick with a solid 4-5 career playing RB, WR, special teams (like Denard).  One injury and he's gone forever.

He's not going to be a feature back. He's not a WR.  He'd be one of the interchangable guys the Pats get every year to catch passes from Brady, a probably no better than a Chris Hogan.

So in your first paragraph,

So in your first paragraph, you're ok with a kid sitting out, but then in your third it seems like you're still mad at the Euro BBall player for sitting out.

Good.  Maybe it'll cut down

Good.  Maybe it'll cut down on all the BS bowls out there.  Make it actually special if you go to a bowl.  CFB is already so watered down that any half decent program gets 6 wins just by showing up on Saturday.

You do know about the Rolling

You do know about the Rolling Stone story, right?  And before that, the Duke story?  And the dozen or so stories you hear every year about someone well known being accused of sexual assualt, before the charges are either dropped outright, or found unfounded in the court of law.

This is a group finally standing up to slanderous allegations.  These types of women have cried wolf enough and someone is calling their bluff.

When moving, the first place

When moving, the first place I think of turning to is a Michigan football website. C'mon man.

Please don't inundate this website with personal requests, like 'I'm in (city XYZ), how can I watch the game?', 'Is there an alumni bar in Istanbul', or 'what kind of countertops?'.

You're not special, and your situation isn't special.  A lot of people on here have made a lot bigger moves without having to ask for the board's help.
