I call Bull****

When I was asked for a source, I DMed that it was one of his old high school coaches and that Dee Hart did say that, although I said it was a rumor because for all we know Dee was frustrated and venting. I NEVER told anyone I got it via a DM.

And cdycus is right, UMGoBlog is a spinoff of UMGoBlue, but we actually created the URL MGoBlog.com (thus the ten day difference) and owned it for awhile before we gave the rights of the name for free to Brian.

When I went to practice... he was on a stationary bike :(
On a serious note.. WTF!! One guy on Twitter told me RichRod may be re-signing and another said he wants to start practice a day early. I came here to the "mothership" and neither rumor is in the thread, lol. I'm in the group that its all an elaborate hoax. For credibility's sake, the guy that told me the practice rumor did tell me U of M would be playing UConn a week before it was announced, but for me its I joined the hoax group once TomVH said he had contacted Emilien. In TomVH I trust!
Does this mean... I can bring my authentic Ben Wallace jersey out of the cellar? Last jersey I ever bought. Once he left Detroit, I swore off purchasing player's jerseys.
Thanks.. When we posted the pictures, I was hoping somebody would have some background history on the vehicle.
Link to Video of Fortt Naming His Top 6 http://umgovideo.com/avc-view.aspx?videoid=456&categoryid= Michigan is in the top 6, barely, seems to heavily leaning towards Georgia.
Score is calculated.... Score is calculated by the total miles ran by the team in the given week. I should have added that roster will be trimmed to 50 after the three week tryout period (NCAA). The NFL Challenge will also be lowered, but the number may be way higher due to it being more popular. As far as running any challenge by most miles ran, I view those challenges as boring. Once a team sprints out to a considerable lead, its over and the common runner is done. My way, I lock the rosters, notate the mileage totals at the end of the week/s (so all can see) and have the matchups decided by the miles actually ran that week, so every week is a fresh slate and a reason to continue running. Also runners that are interested can visibly see how the matchup is looking by doing some simple math.
Wow.. I had no idea so many other fans were in the area. I'm living in Buford while I attend Oglethorpe. I've tried Stats for a few games, but I'll give Taco Mac a shot this season.

Point for wolverine 1987 Dileo's High School Assistant Coach said, "He (Fred Jackson, U of M Assistant) told us Drew reminds them of Wes Welker." http://www.2theadvocate.com/sports/50687277.html?index=27&c=y
Drew Dileo Tape Here's a link to the State Championship Game from his Sophomore Year, I have it notated when he touches the ball. http://umgovideo.com/avc-view.aspx?videoid=141&categoryid=
The ratings... are absolute garbage. I listened to a podcast a few years back and a representative of EA Sports admitted that Terrell Owens hands were better in the video game then in real life because gamers wouldn't have fun with him dropping passes left and right. And the year Shaun Alexander dropped off the face of the Earth, EA wouldn't let "the ratings update" drop him under a 90 because he had agreed to be a cover athlete.
Priceless.... Thanks for linking to that article Chrisgocomment.
Podcast... I'm paraphrasing the discussion here, but here's what I wrote in my blog from The ESPNU CFB Podcast, where they discussed the top ten list. Why they talked about bball on a football podcast is beyond me. Pat Forde: “I’ve got Michigan/Purdue as my number ten rivalry. Largely because I think both teams are on the road to being good. Michigan’s on the road to coming back with Beilein. But also because of the flying elbow of Manny Harris probably lingering on the mind of Purdue fans.” Andy Katz: “I can buy that, John Beilein’s team got a bad rap last year for flying elbows, he took great offense too. They had multiple incidents, the Zach Novak incident at OSU was definitely flagrant. He was on the free throw line and threw it out. The Manny Harris was more debatable. I do think Michigan and Purdue will be squabbling to get behind MSU in the Big Ten. It will be a highly anticipated game. I saw John Beilein and Matt Painter and I don’t think there’s anything between them and I didn’t see them throwing out elbows at each other.” Pat Forde: “Both are highly respectable coaches and I believe the fans will be fired up for this matchup.”
Name Game... A member of UMGoBlue named MichFan4Life is the one that pointed it out to me and I was wondering if you two were one in the same?
Pitchmen? Feeling out of the loop. What is this?
Awesome... Scouts Inc. currently rate Tim Hardaway Jr. as a 93, meaning that they view him as a immediate impact prospect that rare ability to start as a freshman for a national, top-25 team.
Draft-Day Interview with Brown... For those that are interested, I got a local news special of Bennett preparing to go to the draft on my blog, nothing special though.
I disagree.. I disagree that Robertson is still on the roster due to his contract. If they cut Sheffield and ate the $15 million, then if Dombrowski told Illitch he needed to get rid of Robertson, he would be gone. I think the only reason he is around, besides being LH, is because Leyland has a soft spot for him from his starting days. The number one thing I want the Tigers to trade for is a LH reliever so we can roll with Seay and the addition.
Press Conference...
Amen... Amen I think. Hopefully he'll react the opposite of Samson.
If they ever... If they ever built a new hockey arena near Comerica and Ford Field they should put a few more parking decks around that area. I had tickets for a Tigers Game against Pedro Martinez and the there was a concert at the Fox and the Lions had a pre-season game and I couldn't find a parking spot 30 minutes before the first pitch. Had season tickets since CoPa opened and tried to park in every nook and cranny I could think of.
I found mine... I found mine at Kroger's. I went to BN and they only had Sporting News and Athlon so I got a drink and jotted down what they had to say in a notebook for my blog, but for Steele'e you gotta buy it. His preview book has more information than anyone can take in one sitting.
wow... that was pretty good. Definetely shouldn't played that here at work. But it was worth it.
Video... Here's link's to Gardner's performance in 7 on 7 drills... http://tinyurl.com/ldq7bs (Note: I tried to insert the actual video or a different link and they were disallowed because of the spam filter.) But Gardner looks like a beast picking apart the secondary. Receivers looks good too. I've never been to U of M's camp but is this the Air Force Drill?

Sorry when I tried... to put in the real link, I got the reply: Your submission has triggered the installed spam filter and will not be accepted.
Floyd Interview... Here's a Floyd interview recently posted on Scout: http://tinyurl.com/naa7tr
His stats are ummm... awful. I found a link to MaxPreps and although it was his first year playing football I expected to see a longer "long rush" of the season than 28 yards. Check out the link, http://tinyurl.com/mtj38y
Greinke and Halladay... would lead the way for the time being. Greinke for his 1.55 ERA and 5 CG's; Halladay's 10 Wins. But it's been amazing this past month and a half watching Jackson and Verlander dominate every single time out.
I've lived in Atlanta... for a few months and so far I've caught crap more often from transplanted Michigan State fans then SEC/Ohio State fans combined. The tide will probably change come football season.
Enough talk 'bout the weather... here are three highlight video's from recruits that are confirmed to be coming this Saturday...
Video reminds me of... Bully Beatdown on MTV. Never watched a episode live but I caught a few of the On Demand. For those that have never heard of the show, people write in to have real life bullies fight MMA fighters for $10,000. The hilarious part is how overconfident the bullies are and watching them get destroyed.
That would make sense... if it were a traditional arm injury. But he is coming back from a blood clot in his shoulder. Not ligament? damage in his shoulder or elbow which would be further strained by throwing breaking pitches. But just about all his pitches were coming in at 83-85 and I was assessing they were sliders by how the catcher was setting up his feet pre-pitch. It actually makes more sense that he would concentrate on throwing a certain pitch due to the fact it was a rehab start and not a real game. I just wish it was his change-up (cough), lol. I'd imagine his fastball was the first pitch that came back for him.
Another name to remember... oddly enough is Avisail Garcia. I had never heard of him til the other day and I can't remember where I read about him. This guy is 17 (well hopefully) and playing in High A ball with 20-21 year olds. Last year he was the Venezuelan Summer League Tigers Player of the Year. He would be a name that opposing teams would love to have just "thrown in" in any possible future deal. On another note I am bummed the Sox didn't get Peavy. I loved the idea of them unloading most of their top prospects and financially strapping themselves at the same time. The way I see it is that they need to be replacing Konerko, Thome and Dye with younger core of hitters instead of dishing out 15-18 million a year to replace Contreras. Has devoting that much payroll for a pitcher ever worked out for any team outside New York and Boston? How 'bout the White Sox make a smart deal and finally get a CF?
Frazier... Ahhh, I inadvertently took a shot at Frazier in my post about Bondo without even knowing it. I remember Frazier's hit tonight because he hustled his a** off for a IF single and was extremely aggressive on the basepaths. It was also the only hit Toledo had off Hanson. And for whatever reason the Gwinnett Braves had his BAV at .000 as if he had just been called up and I remember thinking that was completely wrong. But I took a shot at him because the one hit Bondo gave up in the first five innings was a fly ball to Frazier that he turned left, right, left and misplayed awfully. So, totally a one game synopsis but maybe his defense is holding him back? I wonder if he has played the OF his whole life? But all in all the major league level talent the Tigers have in the entire system at OF is amazing even after trading the "jewel" Maybin a few years ago. Granderson, Ordonez, Guillen, Thames, Anderson, Raburn, Thomas, Ramirez, Clevlen. Frazier has a major league stick, glove I don't know. Definitely a few trading chips...
Porcello uses 4 pitches right now... In addition to the change-up and curveball he throws a two-seam and a four-seam fastball. He also has a below-average slider that he threw in the minor leagues last year.
Well in today's Free Press ... The Columbus Dispatch reports that Ohio State had 13 of the Big Ten's 21 recruiting violations in '07-'08 (62%). Sorta un-related because you guys are "conversating" about particular players and their violations. http://www.freep.com/article/20090520/SPORTS06/90520080/1054/SPORTS06/R…
5 Games Over .500 Who would have thought at the beginning of last season that it would have taken this long for the Tigers to be 5 games over .500 again. Yet at the same time, the wait makes it that much more gratifying as a fan watching every game. Here's to hoping nobody get's injured (knock, knock) and derails this season.
Dr. Z I mailed a donation check two weeks ago for the benefit. Wish I lived in the New York Area to attend it myself. Dr. Z hasn't had a huge impact on me like yourself, but his material has definitely been must-read for a few years now. I didn't know he was going for treatment at U of M. Very Interesting.
UMGoBlog Sorry, didn't ripoff MGoBlog. To be exact my brother Phillip (editor of UMGoBlue.com) registered UMGoBlog.com, UMGoBlue.com, UMGoVideo.com, UMGoPodcast.com way back in the '90s before Mr. Cook registered MGoBlog.com. I don't view the names as a big deal due to the fact they have no creativity. I like names like Touch The Banner, Schemblogger, Hoover Street and Maize 'n Brew. While I'm pretty sure Mr. Cook asked for and was given the URL: MGoBlog.com from Drew Montag (who writes at UMGoBlue.com), because Drew wasn't using it at the time.
It's pretty sad .. That I live in Atlanta and I'm getting to watch all the Red Wings games and loyal fans in Michigan can't even catch some games without having to drop for a premier sports package.
Porcello I think they would probably send down or make Porcello long relief to keep his innings down.
UMGoBlog Sorry, didn't ripoff MGoBlog. Registered UMGoBlog before Mr. Cook registered MGoBlog. Yea I know, definitely borderline plagiarism but I didn't want to seem like I was doing the free advertising thing and be a tool and making it so readers had to go to my blog.
