There were breakdowns..sure, but they actually tackled and had 3 and outs. |
| 1 year 28 weeks ago | I think injuries have held Denard back more than anything |
Just imagine his numbers if he doesn't go out against BG, and plays out the full game against ILL, and that isn't even adjusting for the fact that at least a couple of his INT's are totally attributable to his bum shoulder. |
| 1 year 28 weeks ago | The QB chucked the football at the last moment |
I was pissed about losing the sack, delirious about the win and impressed with the Frosh's presence of mind all at the same time. |
| 1 year 28 weeks ago | That tackle by Avery on 3rd down right at the |
1st down marker was unreal. I literally haven't seen a Michigan defenseman make a "You ain't going no further son" tackle like that for a looong time. |
| 1 year 28 weeks ago | I am not so sure they let Stew go |
He still does have a darn good winning percentage and is mathematically in the race for a Big East title. |
| 1 year 28 weeks ago | How would that be political? |
Fox claims to be a "un-biased" source of news. They would just happen to really like Shirwell's "Family Values". |
| 1 year 29 weeks ago | Then you clearly haven't read his |
supposed conversation with Bill martin after the 2008 season. That was hilarious. |
| 1 year 29 weeks ago | Technically Woolfolk would also be a |
returning starter since he was one when he got injured. btw, Magnus, wanted your take on the Demens hype and the Woolfolk hype. |
| 1 year 29 weeks ago | What they fail to mention or understand is that |
DC's will gladly have Denard launching air missiles all day than hav him galloping all over them. Until he has a B10 game where he burns the secondary to a crisp, this meme will not die. |
| 1 year 29 weeks ago | Suggestion for alternate model. |
Take the number of yards predicted for the offense and use the yards/point of the defense and THEN predict the outcome of the game. (Hope this is clear, I can clarify if you need). Defenses that create a lot of turnovers will be better modeled with this predictive scheme. This will also account for bend-but-dont-break defenses that give up lots of yards but not too many points. NOTE: Jokes about our "bend-over" defense will not be appreciated. Your prediction is actually (loosely put) using two random variables without a joint probability term right now. |
