Aquaman....regarding Robert Foster

Couple of interesting things, the kid is a tremendous player I have seen all the Western PA kids he may be the best, better than Pryor, Baldwin, Breaston, and even Revis.

Urban Myer recruiting energy is confirmed, he has visited Foster's High School twice.  Robert has a couple of brothers whose first names start with the letter D, his momma has called him DRob since childhood.  A Drob second coming in the works???

Enjoyed the read your efforts

Really coached TG....GERG was DC for two Super Bowl teams

Really coached TG....GERG was DC for two Super Bowl teams, I suppose you wanted him as our head coach.  Wake up Ferrigno has a cool name but he was available for a reason, much like GERG....just sayin

Concur on the DC hire....

Concur on the DC hire, he is a well established and respected coach whom high school kids will get excited about.  This hire will benefit our recruiting efforts.

I wonder about some of the other coaches, for example Ferrigno who has a combined recored of 128 wins and 193 losses in his coaching career.  I would prefer all of our coaches have established winning records including our head coach, the winning attitude in football is contagious.  Let's hope our expectations for greatness resume this year.  Go Blue

Ferrigno's combined coaching record

Ferrigno's combined coaching record is 128 wins and 193 losses.  Anyone else a bit concerned?  Go Blue the winning tradition continues.....

We have twenty ships available....

We have twenty ships available, with only 11 commitments I am disappointed with this decision.  The kid has ability and wanted to be a "Michigan Man".

DB starting QB for the Ravens

DB starting QB for the Ravens, he can do it all.....

Since our AD already coordinates the FB recruiting...

Since our AD already coordinates the FB recruiting efforts, he may well offer to become the next Defensive Coordinator at the University of Michigan.  The unit would no longer use the term defense, instead the group would be known as Dave Brandon's Boys.

Tonight Dave Brandon will make ...

Tonight Dave Brandon will make the lineup, offer pointers to Red, and sing the national anthem.

Just watched the Hoke presser

and DB is an A-hole , his arrogance is beyond reproach.  At this stage BH is DB's puppet and his hands will be tied. Until DB steps aside, let's his coach's coach, and removes himself from the everyday operation of the football program BH will continue to look like a little frightened boy.  I am sure he is a nice guy, I wish him much success.

Great, another tear shedding coach.  Did Bo ever cry?  What ever happened to the aggressive, testosterone sweating coach of yesteryear? BTW let's all unite on this, as a family let's say DB is a A-hole.  Thanks for letting me vent, nothing but positive karma from here on out.

The UM coaching changes....

have made Les a very rich man indeed, if feel so used...

Our recruiting class this year can and should be stronger

with a new coach signing a long term deal.  Many recruits saw a tarnished image of the Michigan brand, a coach who had one year to right the ship, and we all know RR fate.   As a result, some kids that had an interest in Michigan looked elsewhere.  Some of these kids who were not even on our recruiting radar, may re-consider, I think with a name coach our recruiting class may even be stronger.  Obviously, Dee Hart for example, is lost, but the class overall may suprise us.....

DB my marriage needs you to sign a coach......soon

Like the swing....

The kid looks like a natural lots of positive mechanics i.e.  the hips are leading, stiff front leg, swing is level, and the head is down.  Try adjusting his follow through so the hands finish higher and his rear knee should hinge to maximize power.

Enjoy the moment before you know it the kidwill be glued to electronics, eating everything in sight, and everyhting is "dumb".

The 49ers and Ravens play next year..

Highly unlikely John Harbaugh would pass up the chance to beat up on his little brother.

NBlue are you DB?

Just kidding, or am I?  Really are you Dave Brandon?  Which under the radar coach would you recommend?

The selection solo or committe?

Is a committee in place for potential coach selections or is DB's choice alone?  It's my understanding DB will make the selection, if this is correct, please describe your feelings on one man having so much power or are you in favor of a small selection committe.

Could this happen here?

Down goes DB

Valid points, the change's to the pies occured after DB left.  His public perception is well very poor at this point,

Hoke over Miles

Between the two, would rather have Hoke, who could as mentioned earlier hire Loeffler and Moeller as offensive coaches, defensive staff could include T. Austin and the fired EMU coach (dude, i am getting old).  Miles looks crazy as a bat.

How about Rob Ryan

twin of Rex, defensive minded, midwestern roots, coached at tOSU, young, and is tough as hell.  Something to ponder.

DB if you need some help try

Rex Ryan's twin brother or Gary Moeller"s son Andy, they are both employed by the NFL, a google search will get you contact information.  DB should have united the masses to jump on the RR train when he arrived, hope this mess clears up soon.

Jhack....LOL guess it wasn't

a great idea to move to the sticks, right?  I live in Pittsburgh low cost of living, great jobs, even better schools, affordable housing, low crime, hell we even have grocery stores.  Keep your negative thoughts about the crappy area you live in tyo yourself, it's your choice einstein....

DB sold cardboard

the commercial sound like his statement

http://www.pizzaturnaround.com/

DB had plenty of ammo to

justify the dismissal of coach RR, as much as we wanted to win he most likely wanted too even more.  Although, dissapointed with the on field results I thank the coach for his service and patience.  He opened the door to the MSM and was promptly puched in the nose, the old guard was in a uproar spread what, and LC gave no support.  RR made many  mistakes, two stand out to me, the defensive failures and failing to instal the spread in baby steps.

I give RR alot of credit, he had an arrogant minded AD eager to make his mark, an egomaniac watching every move,  I would have told DB to kiss my ass two months ago, he certainly would not be reviewing game film on Sunday with my staff.  Any coach other than Hoke would be crazy to work with such an on hands boss, you think JH would put up with that.  The good news is Rivals is reporting DB is willing to talk to recruits.

If DB can't deliver JH he should be next.....

You are not supposed to be near

a school or within 500 feet of a chucky cheese.   The Hangover

Recruiting of defensive players

i thought the comment on recruiting defensive players during RR tenure was very interesting. Basically, the caliber of the players was not BT material.  I had a similar thought recently when a kid from my area (who i saw play against my son's team) signed with Michigan.  My thoughts at the time are you kidding me.  Maybe, with some strength training the kid will develop, but I still question the defensive staff's ability to recruit.  One way or another this problem will be over soon.   GO BLUE

Too many cocktails....

Bulldogs would be the correct mascot,  Happy New Year!!!!

Emotion...

our kids will play for RR and kick some rebel ass.

I tip my hat sir....

well played.  Looking forward to the return of Michigan to the national stage.

Haywood certainly will be dismissed

as the head coach of PITT and the AD Steve Pederson may follow him out the door.  As the bourbon is kicking in I am letting my feelings go.....DB's handling of the CC is disgracefull, his decision to let this fetter is a joke.  DB should have made one of two decisions a month ago RR has my support or we are going in a different direction.  On the bright side, the PITT fiasco will take some media attention off our amatuer AD.   We look like ND happy new year.

What is the over under?

It's the keyboard, really i can't  type worth a *hit.  I will review my posts in the future to alleviate any potential error's.

Pitt had Flacco...

who transfered after Wannstedt placated the locals and choose to start Tyler Palco over Flacco.  Granted, Palco is in the NFL, but how many arms can compare to Falco?  Not many.  The high school Palco graduated from West Allegheny has a pipeline to PIT.

Drastic idea

Players today are bigger, faster, and stronger and layered in body armor.  The fans want to see contact and the armored players are fearless delivering  big hits and mega collisions.  Although the players are more muscular,  the skelatal system has it's limitations and injuries are increasing.

Bring back the leather helmets.  Does anyone have comparision information on injuries between professional ballers and rugby players?

Ticket prices the Denard effect

The organized scalper's will ask premium prices for this weeks game as two ranked instate rivals square off for bragging rights.  People will pay the premium to see Denard,  he is the collegiate Tiger, Michael, or Lebron they want to see him look no further than Indiana.

My annual road game just got a bit more expensive, it;s worth every penny I love the excitement surrounding our program.  I suspect the Denard effect will have a positive influence on recruiting, high school kids will want to be a part of this.

PA athletes

I was very suprised when I relocated to PA from Maryland. At the time my son was to enter 2nd grade, at registration the school assumed he was going to enter first grade. I looked at the average age of his peers and after a lengthy discussion with my wife he repeated first grade. The principal stated boys start school late, (girls not so much) for athletic purposes.

After living here for ten years I have noticed most senior football players are very mature, as a result they are bigger, faster, and physically stronger, The overwhelming majority of boys in western PA graduate at the age of 18, some are 19. High school players here graduate as men.

I graduated H.S. at age 17 in Michigan. So are PA kids better than Michigan and Maryland kids or just more mature?
