I'm sure someone will correct me if I'm wrong... but I'm pretty sure WATCHING the stream is not illegal. The person who provides the stream is the "criminal" party.

Not taken personally at all.

Not taken personally at all. I wish I had more information to give, but I unfortunately am not on speaking terms with my immediate family anymore. As far as I can tell, my mother needs bone reconstruction due to an incident that happened over a year ago. Without it, I guess she is prone to infections and likely to lose her jaw.

Honestly, I feel no sympathy for her whatsoever. She hasn't worked in over 15 years, and finds every excuse to take the easy way out. The only reason I felt the need to try is for my little brother. Seeing him do something like this for her just tears me up, and I wanted to help him any way I could.

The best I can do for you is vouch that Dustin Woods is my brother, and I can supply contact information for them or myself if necessary. If the thread cannot stay up, I understand, and there are no hard feelings. I'll still be able to say I tried.

Don't mind me, just stopping

Don't mind me, just stopping by to say how much I love this thread. Who else but Michigan fans? (Possibly Stanford, Vanderbilt, Northwestern... but the point stands.)  :)

I'm sorry, I hope this does

I'm sorry, I hope this does not come off as smartass or ignorant, but the set up of your post just comes off as highly unprofessional.

I respect that you have a tough job, especially dealing with one of the largest and most passionate fan bases in all of sports. And we can become especially insensitive on the internet where we can hide under a certain layer of anonymity. That doesn't mean you should stoop to that level with passive agressive remarks.

In regards to recruiting, your track record does speak for itself. That being said, if I were in Malik's shoes, and I saw how you posted this conversation and how you interpreted it, I would not particularly feel like talking to you. It would not reflect on my feelings towards the school; but when making what will be one of the most important decisions of my life, speaking to someone who handles things in this manner would not be a priority for me.

All of the work you do around here is appreciated, and I hope that you can learn to ignore the ignorance you are faced with.

Ah, thank you. It just

Ah, thank you. It just doesn't feel right seeing an LSA post without a handy chart.

I am also thankful and glad that despite the sour mood of the board lately, people can still have a bit of fun with eachother.

I am thankful for your analysis, but disappointed you didn't provide a chart. :(

Whoa whoa whoa...

"Walt put a hit on Jesse."

Sorry man, but that happened AFTER Jesse stood there threatening him over the phone. If Jesse hadn't been such a whiney, paranoid little pos, things could have gone smoother. Imagine this scenario:

Jesse walks up to Walt in the park, and they have a conversation wherein Walt is recorded admitting to poisoning brock, and speaking about their meth business. This is believeable, because of Walt's trust in Jesse. It could even be said that the one person Walt has shown true compassion for, and the one person he cares about even more than his money, is Jesse.

Hank uses this evidence to arrest Walt at the carwash, everything goes smoothly, and there is never any reason for Jack and the gang to get involved.

The death's of everyone, including the way Walt went out, can be laid solely at the feet of Jesse. So for all of the wrong Walt has done over the past 5 years, I don't think the hit on Jesse is a valid criticism of his character. If someone covered your house, where your wife and children live, with gasoline, and then made a threatening call to you, would you really let it slide?

Short-sighted much?

Did you ever stop to think that maybe the reason a person doesn't have ESPN/2 has nothing to do with their financial situation? There are some people that choose not to pay $60-100 just for access to the only 2-3 stations they would watch. That's what streaming is for, because it's better than giving into the cable companies scam to force you into paying for channels you don't care about.

Maybe the one who needs motivation to do something better in life is the one who places such a high value on mostly worthless television programming.

I know he didn't clarify... but..

TIGHT Ends. Those were all offensive positions. =/

Awesome.

I'll be disappointed if this doesn't turn into a youtube video by the end of the day. Thanks for this man, great work.

Sorry guys, but I gotta ask... OT-ish

Where can I go to find thoe RISE shirts that everyone seems to be wearing? I've checked Moe's, and they don't seem to be selling it. :(

Congrats LSA. I don't really

Congrats LSA. I don't really know how this will change the board, but I do look  forward to more of your statistical analysis in the future. It really adds something unique and sophisticated to the blog that you can't find elsewhere.

Never been backpacking.

Weekend plans include going to work, enjoying a cold alcoholic beverage, and contemplating my future.

While I haven't met any mgobloggers since moving to OK in 06, I have met quite a few Michigan fans in this state. Many more than I would have guessed. I've even had a few offers made on my car, with it's custom blue paint and maize (actual color) pinstripes.

Anything having to do with

Anything having to do with RichRod at Arizona. He is no longer our coach, and unless we are playing against him, what he does at Arizona has no impact on our football program. His tenure at UM is in the past, so let's leave it in the past. Going along with that, no more using him to bash on Borges. I get that some people are highly hurt by the departure, but it's time to drop it.

Variety

Dos Equis Ambar, Leinenkugel's Snowdrift Vanilla Porter, Noche Buena, and Session. I like making my own 6-packs, adds some spice to life.

I hadn't thought of that.

Even knowing how advertising works, it never really occured to me that my Adblock could be detrimental to the blog. Thank you, I'll be turning on my exception now, but only for Mgoblog. :)

Nothing.

My ad blocker keeps me from seeing any ads at all. I know, I'm boring... :(

I plan on donating a second time, assuming I can afford it, just so I can get the thank you card as well as the rising hoodie.

Go ahead and neg me...

But I've been waiting for this confirmation all week(end). I feel like this is a very "I told you so" moment for me, since everyone was bashing Denard. This is why we really need to not bash players in the immediate aftermath of a bad game. Thank you for actually UFRing this, if for no other reason than to confirm that Denard actually had a good, if hidden, game.

In that case...

I guess I am the one who missed it. Whole-hearted apologies, been highly emotional/irritated/impatient ever since Saturday. Shouldn't have jumped on you without taking more time to see what you were saying. Again, my apologies.

I think you missed it...

Did someone forget to turn on their sarcasm detector this morning? >.>

I honestly believe that Borges had a perfect plan for this game, that would have worked if the receivers had executed better. Running Smith wasn't the best idea ever, but I'm pretty sure the gameplan was originally created for Toussaint to be the main runner.

I don't blame Denard for that.

Look at Denard's placement of the ball, and where Roundtree would have been had he not gotten manhandled. A lot of what I saw last night involved the ball being in a place where only Michigan receivers had a chance to make a play on it. Denard consistently got the ball where it looked like his receivers SHOULD have been.

Why be scared of Oklahoma?

Their offense is led by one of the most choke-tastic QB's in the nation. Landry Jones is kinda like Joey Harrington, all the tools to be great, but no mental fortitude whatsoever. They lost Ryan Broyles in the draft, and none of their running backs really scare anyone. They are good, but not scary.

Defensively, their linebackers have become a weakness. If you watch them, their linebackers bite on a lot of playfakes. Against a guy like Toussaint, that would cost them a few times. If Gallon can get positioned for quick slants against a linebacker while the corner is occupied with someone else, we'd be able to move the ball effectively.

Long story short, I would have preferred we opened against OU this year. I like our chances against them.

You're right.

We should fire Borges and hire a coordinator that will send Denard out running every single play, to be the one taking all the helmet to helmet hits from some of the biggest, fastest, most NFL ready defensemen in all of college football. That would have never lead to a season crushing disaster. Nope.

Also, for the record, if you watched Bama's D you'd know that they always had enough men in the box to take Denard's running lanes away anyways. So he would have been putting Denard in a bad situation, for quite possibly no gain at all.

I'd like to see you try it.

The offensive line did not give Denard "all night" to throw. He constantly had a 6'6" defender in his face, and he had to throw the ball high to avoid batdowns and interceptions. Add in the fact that receivers (Roundtree and Gardner) were either running sloppy routes or dropping the ball, and most of the blame can be taken AWAY from DRob.

As much as I know it will pain everyone, I can't want for Brian to UFR this game. If for no other reason than to prove that Denard wasn't the source of our poor passing game so much as the receivers. (The only exception was the SECOND  int, that was DRob's one really bad mistake of the night)

More please...

This vodka just ain't strong enough, need MOAR puppies and kittens.

Feed off of the negativity...

prove all of the analysts wrong.

Go Blue, Beat Bama!

Don't care if it was posted already.

I missed it the first time, and I thank you, have my two bought already.

I see what you did

I see what you did there...

(Begins slow golf clap)

Helmet numbers

Jersey talk aside for a moment, why would we suspend the use of helmet numbers for the rest of the season? As far as I remember the players seemed to really like having them, and shouldn't that be the only thing that matters? It's just a number, let them have it I say.

As far as the actual jersey goes.... for some reason it strikes me as more of a hockey jersey than a football one... could just be me.

I got it now!

Mine showed up about 2 hours after I posted yesterday... making me feel just a tad foolish for being so impatient. Lesson learned though, and it was totally worth the wait.

Yup.

I've been trying to wait patiently... but patience is a virtue I really haven't been blessed with.

Awesome work man...

If you aren't getting paid for this yet, you should be. Love the content here and on the Blockhams official page.

One number worries me...

I understand that if in Mattison's second year, the rushing defense is better, that teams will start passing the ball more due to 3rd and long and whatnot. But even if teams are getting more passing yards per game, shouldn't the completion percentage DROP if the defense if doing it's job well?

Just trying to understand if our secondary is something to start worrying about again, or if I am looking too deeply into the numbers posted.

Not to burst your bubble...

And lord knows I have no interest in the debate crap that won't stop on this board... but... Brady Hoke was not the coach for the 2010-2011 season. That was while RichRod was still here. Please... make your pitchforks dull and your fires safe when you come after me...  >.>

EDIT: Reread original post... and very confused, why would Hoke get credit for the APR When he wasn't hired until January 2011?

In all fairness...

If the fans had ever bothered to show up to Seattle games, and if the city would have built a new arena, you probably wouldn't have lost the team. Getting tired of listening to all the Seattle fans still crying about this crap when it was their fault to begin with.

I honestly would have preferred that you kept the team, since the mere presence of an NBA team causes a rise in the local crime rates. You know about the shootings after Game 5 with the Lakers? Yeah, I'd rather you take them back.

Deciding tonight between Blue

Deciding tonight between Blue Moon White Ale and my Summer Shandy.

You are correct

There is really no way that we can currently disprove the fact that CRAIG JAMES (allegedly) KILLED 5 HOOKERS WHILE AT SMU.

It was a mistake because the

It was a mistake because the fans WERE NOT screaming against them the whole game. The fans were mostly in their seat, and pretty quiet for the most part, which is not like a typical Thunder game at all. Them Okies couldn't figure out which team they were supposed to be rooting for.

Yeah, hockey that is $10 a

Yeah, hockey that is $10 a ticket, AAA baseball that they practically have to pay people to watch, and a pretty solid zoo that isn't even one tenth of what the Toledo Zoo is.

I'm sorry, I've lived in Oklahoma long enough to know that there is nothing redeemable about the city or the state. The fans show up for the big stuff, but they also whine and bitch about everyone being against them. It's because of the "fans" that I have developed a dislike of OU that is right on par with my Ohio hate.

I beg to differ..

The draft expert, Mel Kiper, predicted that if Denard entered the draft this year, he would be the #1 receiver on the board, drafted before Justin Blackmon. While I may not always agree with Mel, many NFL teams seem to take his word as though it were gold. DRob is a first round prospect at WR, even without ever playing a down at the position.

Shame on you...

Morris won't throw the interception, it will be Alex Swieka, in a game that we are already winning by 6 touchdowns in the 3rd quarter.

Shane Morris has been offered

Shane Morris has been offered a scholarship by Nick Saban and Alabama...? I'm sure this was just RDT's way of informing us. Lighten up guys, it's a good day to have a drink.

Eat the cake...

and remember the Buckeye tears are almost as sugary sweet to taste as Spartan tears.

Seems we have quite a following here in OKC, I've run into many a Michigan fan since moving here.
