BiSB, that parody of the…

BiSB, that parody of the Edmond is pure gold. I haven't posted in like 8 years, but I had to sign in to give mad props. That is incredible work!!

Maybe wrong column??

I think you're thinking of the game Previews where the Fear Level and Desperate Need To Win Level are broken down....

Ronald Reagan?

The actor?

And who's the vice president? Jerry Lewis?

And let me guess Jane Wyman is the first lady?

Not sure of a name....

but that big spot in front of the fender is perfect for phrase like, "Those Who Grill Will Be Champions" and "The Grill. The Grill. The Grill." ... And you could maybe add some Maize wings to the front of it.

Joe, I have to admit, I love your recipes/tips/ideas. I'm a pretty decent homecook, and i've wowed my wife and friends with some of your ideas. I live in Green Bay. Tailgating on Sundays is a given around here, and it's awesome to think outside the box.

The one that people keep asking me to make are your Jalapeno Shrimp Havarti Wontons with the Chili Sauce dip.

So I just have to say thanks for your incredible creations!

Exhibit B

I think Exhibit B is counterintuitive to your point. He appears to be looking up, as he's on his way down.

Go Wolves

Clarkston 2003 alum, living in Green Bay.

Good to see Clarkston on the FBO, even though they're not the featured team. Coach KR sure has them looking good once again!

His faimly lives in Ashwaubenon*. I live in Ashwaubenon. Will search for the cloning device and try to throw a Hoke Wrench in it.

*Try not to say Ashwuabenon without thinking of the Muppets' Manamana song. "Ashwaubenon, do do dodo, Ashwaubenon, do DOO do dodo, Ashwaubenon, do dodo dodo dodo..."

Make it 5

I'm in the same boat..... kept waiting to see if it was my browser or if others were missing the jump. Glad to know I'm not alone.

Michigan wins 49-16

Offense snaps the streak of not scoring a touchdown in 8 quarters with a big play (50+) on the opening drive...

Contract clauses

Universities would put that sort of clause in a contract where if you take our team to a lower level or two, it's automatic firing without compensation....

Recruiting focus

I think that would make coaches focus more on recruiting players they know would stick around. It would prevent a Kentucky-esque basketball situtaion where Calipari recruit five kids that win him the title and they all leave...

Coaches would have to encourage the children to stay in school longer, thus more houses of learn-ed doctors, as Dale Dobeck would say.

Yikes

Brian is projecting that we aren't going to start anybody on the defensive line!!! Ahhh, I'm nervous about what sort of scheme Mattison is utilizing!!

Yes, Jim Parsons, this is sarcasm...

Green Bay will be the best option

The WIAA is more than likely going to end up using the Resch Center in Green Bay....currently used by USHL's Green Bay Gamblers (Alex Kile!!), the UWGB men's basketball team and various concerts and expo shows....it's the best optino and the Green Bay community is excited about the option.

He was out anyway

As it says in the rule exerpt, "It also is incomplete when a player leaves his feet and receives the pass but first lands on or outside a boundary line, unless his progress has been stopped in the field of play or end zone"

He landed on the boundary line, and his progress didn't stop in the field of play....regardless of the ball hitting the ground. He was out. Don't understand why the side judge even thought it was a grab....He was out from the get go

High school wings

That appears to be a game pitting Clarkston (Oakland County) against Grand Blanc (Gennessee County)....just thought I'd mention it, since people are gonna ask.

Pretty sure it's deeper than that

The OSU rivalry didn't start in the 60s man...that rivalry runs back to the Toledo War...bloodshed

CU isn't the Bison

It is the Buffaloes...

Miniscule criticism for what is turning into an must-read.

Well done! Anxious for next week's Thursday column

sweetness

thanks Justin

im not seeing it here, Lloyd

hmmm <HAUGH>, She's unlisted...

So, yeah, I actually don't see where this wallpaper is. Do I need a certain amount of points to view the image? I keep clicking on "cjm's blog" and I don't see it, so I go back I click on "San Diego State Wallpaper" and it takes me here...not sure what I'm doing wrong.

Any suggestions?

Very excited for future installments of

Opponent Watch: ...

lol Jerry Palm

I like how his top four teams from the conference are all from the "West" Division (Neb, Mich, MSU and Iowa)...I guess I can't blame him because he's probably just as confused as the rest of us as to who plays in which division...

Nice work H-Town

Too bad I was one year ahead in school, and we only roomed for one year. I got witness (from row 4) the No. 1 v. No. 2 in Columbus...

We had the projection screen TV in the apartment for Tigers Playoffs '06, Wii bowling (when it was RAWK ON, MAN!), Michigan baseball in Super Regionals and all the (Insert fake holiday here) parties. Reindeer piss!

Anyway, good luck in Austin. It's crazy how those years seem so far away...

it's your clips

I do like hearing the crowd noise in the background, but this J Dilla character just wasn't pleasing to my ears.

MGoBlog will have to roll with what you dub in to the reel

i see your point

i see your point...

new music please

The music at the beginning of the highlights was the best music on the clip....i couldn't even watch the rest of the highlights because the music was so terrible. Was that like female rap/techno....?

Using the indie-style music for these clips is the best thing that ever happened last year, and you should do the same...

Three-way Finals

I think I'm confused how New York athletics work because you said "there were 3 teams that went to the state finals"

How did three teams compete in a state finals?

Thus, I think I'm confused...

Shouldn't happen

Spread 'N Shred teams shouldn't line up in the I-form EVER

Yes, a fullback is necessary when runing the I-form, but the formation should've never been an option against Illinois because of the lack of the fullback

In the NFL it's up to the

In the NFL it's up to the player what he wants....Strahan used the no-sleeve jersey style, while Brady likes the floppy sleeves.

But you're point was very correct about Denard wearing the Techfit style...

The Chargers'

The Chargers' throwbacks/full-time uniforms are horrible...Light blue is terrible, and the white helmets look like 4th-grade Pop Warner helmets...pitiful

The stitching on the "M" is

The stitching on the "M" is very similar to the "M" stictching that I have on my white hockey jersey hanging in my closet. It's really not bad. It's not made to look crinkly like others suggest, it's simply a style of sewing...

Granted my hockey jersey is a NIKE brand, but it's the exact same stitching style...

What was Prepseer talking about?

The kid's a sophomore and has NFL size. He throws the deep ball really tight and was moving in the pocket well enough to find a late-breaking receiver.

I don't know how someone couldn't be excited for a kid who throws the rock that well as a sophomore.

Also, I don't know why the video editor felt the need to circle-highlight a kid playing quarterback?!?

well said

I agree.

I skewed away from the original stance and argued against something he/she wasn't actually arguing for...my bad.

correct

After reading your synopsis and then rereading the original post, I can see your point that I may have skewed from the stance...

I was talking about numbers

Or...

UConn and Tenn. womens bball, and ACC soccer, and IVY League lacrosse, and IVY League crew.

There are certainly teams and sports that women have created a culture for and they wouldn't go away.

rebuttal

"...by forcing schools to treat female athletes as equal to male athletes."

I'm just going to point at the elephant in the room and say they aren't equal in terms of athleticism at the college level.

"...if high schools started cutting girls' sports, then women's sports at the college level might start drying up..."

This would be good for colleges who could start, to you know, break out of the red and get back into the black. You know, start working with a budget and not always be in debt... The economy is so bad that it takes drastic measures, and if Title IX was repealed for 5 or 6 years, it would allow schools to start making money.

I am for women's rights, but I dont necessarily think playing sports in college is a right. It's a gift. Most college athletes (men and women) don't have the gift, so why should a school be forced to recruit these athletes just to field a team in order for the schools to have equal teams to let their profitable sports exist.

Rim shot.....bah dum, ting

Rim shot.....bah dum, ting

How about...

champ10nship

That's my guess for the headline of Sunday's paper

I believe it was Minnesota

I think it was the Gophers who lost in 2006 to the Crusaders...

NoDak went on to beat HC in the regional final....

Are we talking just about the Big House?

I'm not sure if there will be some sort of adidas adds on the board...

But there will definitely be ads on the screens in Crisler and Yost because the pictures on the brochure that came in the mail have ads on them. Adidas logos in the corners, meijer all over..I'm just saying.

No shoelaces flapping in the wind?

In the photos from practice, it looked like Denard's shoes were actually tied up...

Just a random comment. I'm probably WAY wrong, but it just looks like they're tied up.

So sorry

JaJa, I'm sorry to hear that Lion (a top-15 recruit) took your spot in the varsity lineup...

Maybe you can join a men's league somewhere and talk about how that would have been you in the Masters, you know if Lion didn't come to Michigan.

Whether your beef is genuine or not, it comes off very much like sour grapes.

Hockey?

YES, plz!

Still bottom dwellers

If they did form the MSU Hockey Conference and were the sole team, they would still find a way to finish second place with Anastos at the helm!

I seriously hope Michigan doesn't lose the first game to the Spartans next season. That would be tough to live through...

how horrible are the PSU jerseys?

That collarbone piping looks hideous!

Excited about the idea of seeing Michigan play in Madison every year. Now, I don't have to wait for every other year and awkward seating alignment for the holiday tournament!!

very well

Thanks for the reassurance, Z.

Obvsly, I'm hoping for the best because we have the shooters that can shoot and the ballers that can ball... just won't be surprised if we're over-confident and the Volunteers For Hire win...

Also, Belein can coach so I won't be surprised if we're playing in the second weekend...!!

Still nervous

All of the pro-Michigan talk still makes me nervous. I like to think we have turned a corner and we can beat the teams we're supposed to....

...but something makes me nervous when Brian and Tim start posting numbers about our success compared to opponents mishaps... lets just play 4 minutes at a time, win every TV timeout and get to Sunday...
