All the handwringing about Drevno. Pep either (to a lesser extent) but when Drevno came in all we heard about was the wonders he worked with a bunch of underclassmen at USC and how he was indespensible to Harbaugh. Every one was worried he’d be moving on for a head coaching opportunity. He was responsible for the interior line and I thought they played really well aside from Kuglers brain farts. Can he be blamed for Kugler? The kid couldn’t crack the lineup for 3+ years when we were thin on the interior, obviously he was flawed. The play calling was rough at times this year but I feel like he was handcuffed by circumstances out of his control. Even at that, the game plan and play calling in the Ohio state game was a thing of beauty. Pep is essentially the same guy as Jedd (pro pedigree, never short of job opportunities). I don’t know enough about the inner workings of our recruiting and those criticisms may be warranted but I think the whole “Drev and Pep have to go” thing just became a thing. A lot of parrots on here.
...going nto next year. Depth at a few places is still a little scary. Winovich coming back would be huge for DL rotation, with Kemp and the other young guys not being relied upon so much. DT might be the place we can least afford an injury. Who knows how Solomon and Dwumfor can hold up for a whole season and we've seen Mone struggle to stay on the field. We'll need some luck, as all playoff teams do. Aside from that we're stacked at LB, S, WR, TE. Feel good about QB and RB going forward as well. The OL obv was a problem this year but I think depth wise there's not going to be a huge drop off from 1's to 2's. I'm still keeping my fingers crossed there isn't the out of the blue transfer of someone a la Devin Asiasi.
Love that guy. He pretty much embodies everything a Midwest farm kid like me grew up admiring in the old timers. Gruff, tough, witty, stubborn, caring and has absolute conviction in whatever he does. He would have fit in perfectly with my Grandpas crew.
I think it's weird that this site has stubbornly stuck with the MAAR nickname. I don't think it's a bad name or anything like that. I mean, theres nothing wrong with trying to come up with a nickname. His teammates, coaches, basically everyone other than this site refer to him as Rahk. Aside from my nitpicking...great write up! Looking forward to watching this team play
The handful of whiffs Harbaugh has had on the recruiting trail have pretty much all come back to bite us. Isaiah Wilson (?) snake oiled to Georgia probably being the most glaring. Not getting that dominant running back yet hasn’t helped either. The result of Saturday’s game doesn’t change my opinion that Harbaugh will field an absolute meat grinder of a team in the near future.

Using the same stupid fucking lines and memes over and over to try to fit in with the groupthink mentality that dominates this blog.. The flip side is the intentional contrarians. Unfortunately I feel like there isn't a ton of people here that aren't in one of those camps.
To be clear, I'm not calling you a liar. I know there ARE people who aren't pro atheletes that are capable. I'm just commenting on how often people overestimate their speed. 4.6 is flat out explosive athleticism. I have no basis in this but I would guess even the Kenyan marathoners who dominate their sport aren't running 4.6 40's. Could no doubt be way off in that last statement. It would be interesting to see what kind of 40 times some of the worlds best marathoners ran.
It seems like it comes up on here from time to time about "regular people" and their 40 times. I remember all the world class athletes here claiming they could run faster 40 times than deveon smith when his combine numbers came out.
