Over/Under on a "Good shit,

Over/Under on a "Good shit, Pep" gif?

Irvin left it all on the

Irvin left it all on the floor for this program. We are endebted to his selfless play and transition. He's always been a class act and we were privileged to have him.

Hopefully he can find a niche on a team in the league as a 3 and D guy. The league is getting smaller, so that might help.

Soloman, Hudson,

Soloman, Hudson, Vuijian could come in a wrap up the back up spots. You just never know until fall ball. The meritocracy works.

I'm worrisome about the progression, er, lack there of from Marshall. He's always talked about, but never shows results. Maybe this is the year it finally clicks for him.

And yes, how big has Ron Johnson gotten? I thought he came in as a rushing speed DE.

DPJ

DPJ is going to start this season.

Not only is he going to start, he's going to lead the team in receiving.

After the first win in the

After the first win in the BTT, you saw a glimpse into Beilein's heart as he was choked up. This is the kind of man you want leading your team. You know he'll do whatever it takes for these kids. There is something special going on with this team right now.

Wagner

Wagner will be a lottery pick next year. He's a 6'11 guy with an inside out game and decent handle. NBA scout fall in love with the big men that can shoot and handle the rock. A stretch 4/5 is the new norm in the league.

Don't worry about the

Don't worry about the seedings or who you're playing. Just go out, play the game and win. Simple. They all put on their shorts the same way we do. WIN THE GAME

This is not the typical John

This is not the typical John Beilein team. Our offense needs to run through Wagner. He's clearly the guy on the floor with the best skill set. It's more than obvious.

Pick and roll with him or let him get his man to his back between the basket and let the big guy use his moves. It's clear what direction we need to move this season. The more comfortable he gets, the better he will be and will create more open looks for Irvin and Robinson.

Derrick Walton, while a leader who plays good D and is a great rebounding PG, is not the answer. Our offense always ran better with Spike playing PG. Last night it was evident where our weak spot on the floor was.... PG. Everytime he drives to the basket, he gets stuffed. Try to adjust/get creative or do something. Guys need to be cutting to the basket constantly and stop sitting around the 3 pt line waiting for the ball.

Robinson showed us some progression last night by using a shot fake and driving to the basket. Hopefully that sticks around and he can be our 6th/Instant offense from the bench.

Most pleasant surprise:

Most pleasant surprise: Stribling becoming a lock down CB.

Biggest Downer: Losing Jeremy Clark. He was part of the depth we need to beat those pesky spread teams.

Most Improved Player: Matt Godin/Chase Winovich. Both have played great so far and have earned their PT.

Guy who will emerge the 2nd half of the season: Ty Isaac. He's already starting to slowly get carries in crunch time of games. Look for him to be the bellcow back by the end of the season. He has the "it" factor. My layman eyes see his as the most complete RB we have on the roster. Evans can get there with some time.

Expectations: On course. I fully expected us to be undefeated at this point.

Biggest surprise in the conference: Easy, Mich St. No one expected that drastic of a drop off. We all thought the early season struggle with Furman was a fluke, apparently we were wrong.

National: The PAC-12 being so down. USC, Stanford, UCLA, and Oregon are all down. What happened to Stanford? Is Washington that good? Or is the PAC-12 that down this season?

Three Stat Predictions:

I  hate to say something similar, but Adam picked one of mine. Taco will have 10+ sacks. He's basically living the backfield and is moving up in draft stock.

Stribling ends the season with 6-8 INTs. He's a few dropped ones away from already having around that number now.

Isaac leads the team in rushing, 800+ yards. But, he's followed closely by Higdon. Yes, Karan Higdon.

OSU will win this game. Bucky

OSU will win this game. Bucky will play close until after half time. They can't score enough to beat OSU.

I take it that I was

I take it that I was brainwashed to be hateful and illogical? No bro, don't make assumptions. Don't be THAT GUY.

Weather

People are down on Speight a bit, but let us not forget. The weather conditions were atrocious for this game. He's 6 games into the season and he's 6-0. He's got an 11-2 TD/INT ratio and he's thrown for almost 1,200 yards.

Any gave me his stats alone before the season began and I'd be ecstatic. He's a great study and will be fine.

Also Asiasi and Onwenu are MONSTERS. No wonder Harbs loves this freshman class. Full of dudes!

Hill

I'm pretty sure Khalid Hill has been getting some All American hype from the National Media. He's a dude and deserves a shield. His carry to TD ratio may be helping this too!

Our offense has been very

Our offense has been very vanilla so far. As Drevno said, "Stay tuned." Our staff didn't want to show anything out of the ordinary in out of conference play. When you can win using mostly base plays and standard formations, you're going to have openings against other teams. It'll help bringing a formation on the the field that no one has film on yet. The D will be lost.

+1 for the Star Wars

+1 for the Star Wars reference

Difference

In game adjustments are the difference in the new staff.

After one hiccup in the 3rd, our D played lights out.

The mystique of Harbaugh is

The mystique of Harbaugh is that the best players will play regardless of what class they in. I'd like to see as many freshman play as Coach Harbaugh feels is earned. Didn't he try to coin the term "meritocracy"? Imagine seeing recruits across the nation knowing that if they are THAT good, then they won't have to sit a year or two before getting meaningful snaps. They could come in a be atop the depth chart if they deserve it and earn it in camp. It's going to do wonders for recruiting and internal competition. If you know you are fighting to keep your spot day in and day out, you are going to naturally work harder.

He breeds competition and playing freshman shows they will earn their spot to play. I have zero issue with him playing as many freshman as he'd like. The best way to get better at football is to play football.... I think we've all heard that one before.

Drake is so eloquently spoke.

Drake is so eloquently spoke. He seems like a great man that will have great success in whatever career he decides to pursue. Someone needs to ask him a Pokemon Go question next!

Best

He's going to be the best player in the class... Mark my words.

Hungry

Dude has the chance to tote the rock. Big guy with vision, speed, power and bounce. He's got everything you want and he's only going to get stronger and faster. I like that this kid has got a chip on his shoulder and is going to prove the doubters wrong. He's no FB, he's a RB who can take the 20-30 carries per game load.

Remember, "hungry dogs hunt best." Harbaughism of the day.

Hudson

Khaleke Hudson will see the field this season. It may be on special teams, it may be on D, it may be on O, but he will play.

Kid is a flat out baller and the best players play. The future is very very bright!!

This just makes me wonder

This just makes me wonder what Harbaugh could've done with Gardner. The kid had a giant heart and great work ethic. He could've been something special.

This family lives and breaths football.... hands down.

So glad to have Jim Harbaugh as our HC.

I forgot to add; Taco

I forgot to add; Taco Charlton will lead the team in sacks next year.

TACO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

He's going to have a breakout year and lead the team in sacks. Mark my words.

Outlandish Prediction:

Outlandish Prediction: Kingston Davis is the higher FR on the depth chart. Kid runs the way Harbaugh likes em. Said he remined him of Gore.

The staff may extend offers

The staff may extend offers to kids and let them know at the same time that the spot isn't guaranteed. The offer is the for the best player available and they are one of them who could potentially take that spot. We aren't 100% sure what happens behind closed doors.

Kids decommit from schools all of the time and it's no big deal.

The absence in recruiting to

The absence in recruiting to Kelly must mean that we've secured commitments elsewhere.

Also, don't forget that we did have Kemp commit and he's projected at the Buck position.

His ability to hit that mid

His ability to hit that mid range jumper was noted in that game too. It's something that's been lacking from our team.

This team would be good if we

This team would be good if we had a good center and a 4 that wasn't afraid to crash the boards. I said it after the Xavier game and I'll say it again. Our bigs suck... plain and simple.

Wagner is our only glimmer of hope because he knows how to use his height and will try to position for rebounds.

I'm surprised Doyle can even dunk, people grab boards over him multiple times per game.

We miss J-Mo. A great defensive stopper.

We have ZERO inside presence

We have ZERO inside presence on this team. Our bigs can't score consistently or stop anyone else. It's quite pathetic honestly.

Also, our small lineup doesn't matchup well against big teams and we need to adjust. I thought Mo/DJ were getting reps at the 4? We need a bigger lineup we can go with to matchup with certain teams or it's going to be a long big ten season

Robinson is making a huge

Robinson is making a huge push to crack the starting lineup and it made Aubrey Dawkins play really well late into the game.

Maybe Dawkins needs the seat hot to play with fire..

Wagner is BY FAR the best big

Wagner is BY FAR the best big on this team. He's played with professionals in Europe and demonstrates great understanding for the game.

Personally, I think we should give him all of the minutes he can handle. Maybe even try to run him at the 4. (We will need a bigger lineup at times in Big Ten play, something I've always criticized Beilein for not doing). This kid is going to be something special before he is done at UM.

Imagine what another year of Camp Sanderson will do for his strength.

Mo Buckets!!

Best of luck to Durkin, minus

Best of luck to Durkin, minus when we play them.

Hungry dogs hunt best. I hope

Hungry dogs hunt best. I hope Reese stays. He looks the part of a tackling machine.... David Harrisesque.

Cole

When did Brian Cole move to safety? I thought he was going to be our up and coming game breaker athlete we needed....

Huge fan of this one on one

Huge fan of this one on one post. Shows how cerebral a player can be in the moment of the game. You can tell Jake really understands route running as he is using his eyes to get himself open. One more year, hopefully, to fine tune and then he'll make a good pro TE. The league is clamoring for TE's with his skill set.

As a Bengals fan, I see a lot of similarity between Butt and Eifert. Same body style/skill set, a WR trapped in a TE's body. The ceiling is definitely high for Jake Butt. To further add, what more deserving of a kid. Always well spoken and directing credit to his coaching/teammates. One of my favorite players.

I'm a Michigan fan living in

I'm a Michigan fan living in the Columbus Metro area and can confirm this reality. To further this, it happens all year long here.

Too young, too soon.

Too young, too soon. Condolences to the family.

Excited to see TJ Wheatley

Excited to see TJ Wheatley get some snaps next season, he looks like a monster in his uniform. Imagine if a kid his size got some of his dad's speed.... Oh buddy.

Michigan, 26-20

New Bigs

Teske is 6-11 and 210lbs. He'll definitely need a year or two to gain some weight.

Davis, while better sized at 6'10 and 240 will need some development. His game is raw.

Taco Charlton once was pretty good at basketball... and Harbaugh loves athletes.

I'm sure he could pull down some boards for us.

Paging J Mo, come back to AA.

DJ's Defense will ultimately take away minutes from Donnal. Let's hope we can start recruiting some bigs that like to rebound/play D. Our offense system almost always needs a J Mo out there, he was great for us. Tough D, tough on the glass, and could finish like no other.

Also, I still am a huge fan of Rahk's game and think he will get key minutes off of the bench for his D. While he's not your typical "3 and D" guy, he's a D and Drive to the basket guy. He's one of the few guys we have that can create a shot/attack the basket off of the bounce.

Also, Chatman is showing promise. He will get his chance with Irvin still recovering.
