Muppets

I've been meaning to ask for awhile now......What's up with the Muppets?

I'm surprised that you don't

I'm surprised that you don't have S Allen Gant from Ohio on your list. The kid is a UM legacy.

4 extra teams

Don't forget that the odds are better this year for bubble teams because there are 4 extra spots in the field. A team that would have been the last 4 out last year would make a tournament this year. They go 7-2 , I think they're in.

Same thing with Frost

All of the Frost articles said that "Frost who one time committed to UM......"

It's actually amazing how little article writer's know about a subject they are wrting about.

Doran Grant

I thougth we were out of the Doran Grant Sweepstakes but I read an article last week that deep down he still really likes UM. Plus, he came up to see the game this weekend. How come he didn't make this list?

RT in 2011

Brian:

You mention that you are 99% sure that Huyge will be the starting RT in 2011. What about Schofield winning that spot? I know they aren't as high on him as they are in Lewan but I thought they really liked him in camp this year. Is the Senior leadership in Huyge just too good to pass up for Schofield?

Thanks,

I agree

I agree. I'm not saying that MSU's class is better, I just thought I would point it out that MSU is now 23rd and we are 27th.

I'm quite convinced that UM will have a better recruiting class, particulary if UM gets off to a good start this season.

Rankings

Looks like all of MSU's unranked players got ranked by Scout and now Scout likes their class better than UM's. Even Indiana is ranked higher than UM's but that is only because they have 11 more commits.

Thanks Brian

Brian:

Thanks for the post. Totatlly agree!

This will seriously hurt us with recruting elite level kids. High school coaches don't forget these types of stories. We already have enough problems with recruiting, we don't need admissions stabbing the program in the back.

OSU is crushing us. They

OSU is crushing us. They already have verbals from 5 of the Top 10 recruits in the State of Ohio and they are considered to be the leader for Doran Grant & Trey DePriest.  I would say that's crushing us. That's how you keep the best players in your home state.

Dorsey is a done deal. Just because UM hasn't fomally said so, doesn't matter. Everyone who has an ear to the school has said as much. Names like Sam Webb, Tom Beaver and Dave Birket. Don't hold out hope that UM will get him in the end.

Also, just a reminder....Dee Hart really likes Dorsey. That was one of the selling points to Dee. Don't be shocked if Auburn beats us for Dee Hart after this Dorsey fiasco.

2011 Recruting Class

We better be prepared for a horrible 2011 recruiting class for UM's standards. We can't even land the best kids in our home state, OSU is crushing us for the best kids in OH, I bet the FL well dries up quite a bit after UM turning their back on Dorsey and our 8-16 record over the last 2 years is really catching up on us.

Due to the small class size and inability to land elite level talent, we probably will not have a top 25 recruting class according to Rivals or Scout this year. The ONLY thing that can turn the tide a little bit will be a record of 8-4 or better and that may not help out that much in the 2011 recruiting.

Wilson I would love to add Thornton besides Parker, Grimes and Murphy but since we only have Pace on the OL for this class I would think Wilson would be a much better addition for UM since they already have Talbott & Ash. If they were able to land all 5 of them Rich would make room somehow.
Hankins Anything to report on Hankins?
