I am a season ticket holder who chose to purchase these tickets when I renewed last summer, but I would think that before the floodgates were opened that season ticket holders would get something like a 24 hour advance window to purchase seats.
And, I do not recall getting anything from the ticket office on Feb 13.
My family and I have had 4 season tickets for 40+ years. Have seen the highs and the lows. I asked at least 15 people to go on Sunday, not one taker. At that point, i chose to sell the 4, and it was the 1st home game i did that for, as I did not feel like going alone and watching another most likely loss. I went to almost all the Ellerbee games, i remember going when Frieder's teams were struggling. But you know what, there was a connection to those teams. Those guys played hard, plus there were some players that were upperclassmen who you followed for 2 or 3 or 4 years.
I feel no connection to this team. Sans Williams (who i feel for) and maybe Jace, they are just a bunch of guys. Between the transfer portal and players going pro early, there has been not much continuity to Howard's teams, and this years team is just another year of the program declining. It is hard to get excited for a program and a product that you have no connection with.
I felt for the team yesterday, that was rough for them, and I am guilty of not only not going, but also selling lower bowl tickets, so shame on me.
I booked late, so had a noon flight from IAH in Houston to Columbus and then back to Detroit.
The Houston flight was delayed almost 4 hours, so was going to miss the connection in CBUS, however, due to weather issues, that flight in Columbus was delayed by 1 1/2 hours, so i made it to to the gate and boarded with 3 minutes to spare for the quick flight back to DTW.
That saved me from either renting a car and driving the 3 1/2 hours back to AA through all the rain or staying over in a hotel and catching a 6:05 am flight the next morning.
I feel like the fortunate delay in Columbus was a great Cap to a fantastic trip!!
I was there tonight, it was intense. No way Mcgroarty plays, he could barely stand up and was sent out on a stretcher. I am pretty sure both he and Duke got concussions and will most likely be out tomorrow. Eernisse somehow got a 5 and a game misconduct, but not a DQ, so i think he can play tomorrow. Eith Estapa being iffy, it could get dicey.
Note, after the game, the referees gave 14 more minutes in penalties, all to Tyler Duke, two 2 minute roughing minors and a 10 min game misconduct.
Again, hopefully he and Eernwisse can play tomorrow, it is going to be all hands on deck.

It is going to be a unique and surreal experience as a fan who will be attending. On one side, you are playing your arch rival and desperately need a win, on the other side is that your arch rival has gone through a tragedy and needs to be treated with respect, compassion, and all of that. I Personally know 5 current MSU students and most of my extended family are Spartans. They are hurting big time.
I hope that the UM admin, team, and fans treat MSU with all the respect and compassion that they can, but at the same time do everything they can to win the game (both the team and fans in attendance).
Not sure if it is mentioned elsewhere, but where this traffic stop took place is in a neighbohood, 25 MPH on King George Blvd, and the cross streets in there.
Not sure if that moves the needle one way or another, just another data point to consider.
I know have what looks like a link for one ticket in the UofM app (bought 4), it has a link to ticketmaster in the one ticket, but that link does not work. So, i logged directly into ticketmaster and it says i do not have any tickets associated with my account.
Am wondering if this will get cleaned up today. I seem to remember for last years game that all 4 tickets were in the U0fM app and all i had to do was download to my digital wallet.
As time is progressing it is getting a bit concerning.
For those of you who purchased tickets through UofM, have any of you gotten your digital delivery of the tickets? My credit card was charged Monday Night, but as of 2:30 PM today still have not received the tickets digitally.
I believe that parking selection takes place when you renew your seats, that is where you can request certain parking and then your pass (s) are allocated based off demand and your priority points
I park in the grey lot every week. There are always spots available, usually close to kickoff.
If you are looking to tailgate there are a few better spots that are usually taken sooner rather than later, but You can set up a tailgate spot at any spot as you see fit.
one note: the drum section from the marching band will come out and warm up usually about 1 1/2 hours prior to kickoff back behind the band building, if you haven’t seen that before it can be kinda cool to watch
This is a trend now. The more I think about it, a removal may not be the worst decision. He needs to be better than this, but he incited a near riot. And he put his own players into a toxic situation. The HC job is project his players, not get caught up In whatever grievances that he perceives
1-5 in their last 6 games, Mel needs to figure out a way to start strong in a season. Granted this series they were down 5 of their top 6 or 7 players (and of course they were playing Minny this weekend)
Minny was CLEARLY the better team, but if i read the stats right, the PP"s were 9-1 in favor of minny or something like that. Not sure if that was due to Michigan being down their top forwards, Minny just being better, or just an unfavorable whistle this series.
This is a really bad night. In think this team got a little full of itself when it won its first 4 and moved up to 4th in the rankings. They were fortunate to win last night (Mann saved their bacon), and he didn’t have his best game today, plus the D is non-existent tonight.

I thought Livers did make some foolish TO's in the first half, but down the stretch and in OT he did a lot of good things. Ended up with 22 points, 3 assists and 4 blocks.
Chaundree Brown needs to stop shooting, he was 2-14 today, 1-10 from three. That surely didn;t help

I was there, and am a long time lower bowl season ticket holder. I agree, we need to change the culture there. Even when Michigan was making their multiple runs in the 2nd half, it was lame in there. The lower bowl was half full at game time, and never filled up. I have mid court row 13 seats (behind the benches/student section), and my row, other than our 4 was entirely empty. That is embarrassing. You can see it as the students who all have to sit up high in the corner don't always show up, or they come late. The arena was about half empty during the first 5 minutes, when Wiscy went ahead (and kept the lead the rst of the game).
I would love to see some sort of, at the very least, check in system for the lower bowl tickets, and if necessay, i would be willing to relocate to allow more students down low.
I was embarassed by the atmosphere in there tonight, this is such a bandwagon fan base, especially in hoops, and they need to change the environment inside of Crisler.
It sucks being a long time seson ticket holder, who is ALWAYS using his seats and ALWAYS cheering loud throughout but if it takes moving to not as good seats, I am all for it.
I’ll be the other guy, while I didn’t go tonight, I had have gone to many of these games downtown, and usually it is near a sellout, and it is pretty close to 50/50, and a lot of fun. Haven’t been to one at LCA, but probably went to 10+ at the Joe. Having it on a Monday may not be the best, but they were always fun games
Actually, after the first OT ends, it is a tie in terms of the NCAA. The 2nd OT (and then a sudden death shootout) are for big 10 purposes only, for the extra point. So, Michigan got 2 points tonight (PSU got one) and UM got 5 out of a possible 6 this weekend. Not officially a sweep, but a really good weekend in the road.

I was thinking about this at halftime, I sit above the students on the team benches side. I know Breslin and other schools have students wrap around almost the entire floor, while UM only has the one side plus the one section and the band in the lower bowl. I don't see why the students couldn't be given some addl seating in the lower bowl. I have been going to games since 1977, and I am at every home game and have pretty good seats, but at a lot of games, there are a LOT of empty seats in the lower bowl for sure. I would love to see some sort of program to reward OR penalize those ticket holders who do not attend most every game. I would also be willing to have not as good of seats as well to allow some addl students in the lower bowl if that is what it would take.
Michigan has not really blown out any teams lately. Solid 10 point (or thereabouts)wins, but nothing where they put the hammer down.
Take for example MSU, they would have won the game last night by about 20, instead of 10. Their Purdue game is a great example, it was about a 7 point game with about 5 minutes left, then they went out and buried them to win by almost 20, that is a big difference in KenPom when compared to Michigan winning against Illinois just by 10, Penn State by 11, etc.
Another team is Virginia who routinely are blowing teams out by 20 + points. Michigan just does not do that as often (Nova game notwithstanding) as other squads. But, at the end of the day, Michigan is 16-0, and most games (except for the NW game) have been pretty comfortable, especially down the stretch
But according to the "BPI" published by ESPN, Michigan is 11th, even though they have the # 1 Strength of Record (SOR).
Notable teams ahead of them: North Carolina (with 3 losses and got smoked by Michigan), VA Tech (10-1 with a Strength of Schedule at 185), Michigan State and Wisconsin each with 2 losses.
They play OSU once on the road, Purdue, Michigan and Nebraska once, all at home. They got Rutgers, Wisconsin, Illinois, Indiana and Maryland twice. Their only other road games were at: Iowa, Minnesota, and NW. out of the top 5 teams, they play them all once, and only one of them on the road.
Just heard on ESPN 2 (Andy Katz), that the big ten gave UM the option to play in the 2:30 slot, and UM decided to play the early game, just asked for a 25 minute delay. Interesting.

Did receive my tickets, significant downgrade in seats from last year for me, went from sec 238 to sec 438 this year.
