It looked to me like when he went to kneel-down, he hit his lineman's leg, preventing his knee from touching the ground. He then put the ball down, and the ASU player jumped on it, thinking that it was still a live ball. I'm not sure how you can fault the guy for laying on what he thought was a loose ball. I don't believe he was doing it to intentionally prevent Wisconsin from being able to snap it, like some people are claiming.
And of course, ESPN failed to show a replay of the attempted kneel. Good job, good effort, WWL.
Occasionally, TVs have settings like "Virtual Surround Sound" or "Dynamic Bass Boost" or some other marketing-speak for audio features that attempt to give you a Wow Experience™. These features tend to have a strange effect on volume, much like you have described. If you are using your TV's built-in speakers, I would suggest looking for any similar options in the menus and turning them off to see if it makes a difference.

I can understand how Safeco field hurts power/flyball hitters, but that's not Ichiro. His decline cannot be blamed solely on the stadium. It's been hard to watch him the last couple years.
I thought that was discussed in the last recruiting update. IIRC, he hasn't been offered yet, but would be a potential snake-oil candidate if we needed a late DB pickup.
It's probably not asking too much for him to drop about 10 pounds before the season rolls around. That would put him around the same playing weight as Junior Hemingway. Ricardo Miller is like Junior Hemingway, but taller.

Yes, we are just like Izzo's teams that rebound and pound you to death, but without the whole rebound and pound thing. I also agree that MSU this year is very much an MSU kinda team.
He doesn't want to play for the Tigers. Anyone still suggesting it is a delusional rosterbator. I'm not too worried about who the fifth starter is, because it really isn't that big of a deal. You can piece together a fifth starter with veteran scrap heap guys or one of the prospects and still be fine. They had Brad Penny in that slot for a full season and still made it work, fergodsakes.
I am not on board with Nike trying to eliminate school colors. Plus, the gray is overwhelmingly boring. Apparently they turned the PRO COMBAT EXTREME meter down from 11 to about a 3.
Defensive ability should not be judged by fielding percentage alone. Also, most of Cabrera's 3B opportunities were long ago, when he was much different physically.

RPI is old news. KenPom is where it's at. He has our SOS at #8. Besides, whether our SOS is #1 or 8 or 25, it really doesn't matter.

Not sure why this would be likely. He has never played a lick of 3B during his career. At least Miggy has some experience over there.
