Kelly doesn't come off well at all in this story. Harbaugh, on the other hand. Hilarious.

All of that emphasis and Texas still isn't the #1 of producer professional football players (after Cali and Florida most years), and only 8th per capita. Not bad, of course, but not good compared to how much money they pump into all the extra training, coaching, and facilities.

I cannot STAND Penn St. Just say you take the allegations very seriously and are doing diligence to ensure justice is served no matter if it's the validation of the victim or PSU coaches. The fact that BSD author and commenters think this letter shows humility shows just how delusional they've become (or perhaps have always been).

Hernandez was also just outside of 5-star range and top 50 recruit as a TE.

It's more about can this guy lead teammates on the field. Look at a guy like Winston or even Cam Newton. Those guys had major red flags off the field, but their teammates loved them and fought like hell for them. That makes a difference when your talent alone isn't good enough to rally the troops, and I'm not sure his is.

Look into Sennheiser brand. I'm sorry I don't have a more specific model, but I think Sennheisers are great value. They aren't as trendy looking, but the sound high quality for the price. My first pair were a $50 Sennheiser HD428 but this model is discontinued. They have a broad price range. I read a lot of reviews before buying most tech items (including amazon reviews, various tech blog reviews, etc) because you'll find a lot of people who are pretty knowledgeable.
I also liked the AudioTechnica ATH-M50, however, for some reason these were really tight on my head so I couldn't keep them. Best bet is order somewhere with free returns and try some for yourself!

Like most people I owned a lot of stuff from undergrad like the annual football shirts, 2 replica jerseys, M sweatpants, and Maize Rage shirts that I wore pretty much everyday as a student, but no longer. Funny you guys commented on how you'd get pissed and throw things around during games, I used to be extremely superstitious and if we were losing, I had to change my entire wardrobe. For the 2007 Rose Bowl against USC I think I changed 4 times. Needless to say, no combination of M gear helped us win that game.
Within the last 5 years or so, they started making women's apparel that wasn't an idiotic pink or baby blue with cap sleeves, so I bought a bunch of new stuff and the fit and variety makes wearing Michigan gear much more "trendy" and well put together. In general, though, I still don't wear sports apparel as often as I did when I was younger. I currently live in the south for grad school and love hearing a "Go Blue!" when I'm out wearing a M shirt. And it happens more than I expected. Makes me feel at home!

Ok? Good argument.
Look I've been a part of this little online community of Michigan & college football fans for about 10 years now and I never remember it being this full of immature and generally rude comments. There are plenty of females that frequent this board (myself included) and I don't think it's a lot to ask that we keep the conversations respectful and non-RCMB-like (hence why no bewb photos, no NSFW photos, no politics or religion policy). So to see someone rather politely criticizing the use of such language to be told to "Shut Up" is just disheartening and unnecessary.

And not every insult needs to be about genitals. I mean...can we get a little creative here? Also if being respectful to other board members is PC, I don't see why that'd be a bad thing. It's one of the main reasons why we don't talk religion and politics on here, yet comments like this slide constantly.

Ya Saban, it was so valueless that you and your fellow coaches lobbied to have them banned...
It was so valueless that Rashad Weaver obtained 7 additional power 5 offers after being offered by Michigan at the satellite camp and ended up at Pitt instead of playing FCS division football.
Yeah...zero value to anyone.

No. There's a limit to how many scholarships even the wealthiest schools can have. Only top tier talent is going to power 5 schools, and students more suited for lower levels are exposed to different schools and a chance to earn a scholarship in a lower division.

Mone was not going to Utah State, camps or not. You may be thinking of Utah, which is in the Pac 12 (i.e. not a small conference team).

He could be honest without completely deflecting responsibility. Because a QB's situation in the NFL isn't always perfect (good line play, receivers, etc), he could've said something along the lines of "I played for a program under sanctions that struggled, so I know how to play through adversity and have acquired mental toughness that other players may never have had to develop. This will make me an asset to teams hoping to develop a player with many raw tools to work with." If there's anything you learn when doing job or college admission interviews, it's to always turn your negative traits into a positive. He certainly failed at that and that might hurt him more than any on-field weaknesses. He needs a new agent.

Wut? Message boards were created for exactly this: ANGAR directed at people who will never see it and even if they did, they wouldn't care one bit. Sometimes people take this board too seriously, including "concern-posts" like this.

Except they'll spend half the time debating if Brady's patriots should have asterisks by their SBs due to a supposedly underinflated football. How do I know that? Bc they've been doing that for years already, despite how many records he breaks or game he wins. And even if they can't prove he's done anything wrong, they'll instead say how talented his teams have been or how great Bill Belichek is. Brady has become their favorite villain that also is too good to completely deny.

Let's just say I'd be surprised if a converted QB, even one with the size and athleticism of Gentry, would overtake a true TE with game experience who was buried behind a huge senior (AJ) and one of the best TEs in the nation (Butt). I wonder how that Rivals writer came to their conclusion/if they have any insider info about that? I hope he's not sniffing around bc I think he'll be a good one.

From most residents I have talked to (albeit in a different specialty), you should go where makes you/your family happy, particualrly when your options are as high class as those two institutions. They are both large, world renowned academic centers so I'm not sure what the major differences would be. As others have noted, SDN is the place to go for that nuanced info.
Common questions: Does he like the other residents and attendings in the program? Does he like the structure of the program (research, didactics, call, etc)? What at the requirements/shift lengths/etc? What are the perks of each program (salary, stipend for conferences, etc). Does one provide greater career advancement he chooses to go into a more subspecialized field? Also all the other personal questions about living in each city, family life, also play a role. I doubt he could go wrong regardless of where he goes. If this is for fellowship, this isn't his first rodeo and he probably knows what he's looking for already.

No one cares what Shaun King thinks. Shaun just brought to light accusations that were actually brought up in court documents, not just an opinion.

I know this was speculated, but it doesn't seem to be legitimate. If he can qualify for USC he can qualify for UM. Perhaps he just wanted to stay out west and liked USC.

I'll be honest I don't know how court documents work, so forgive my lack of knowledge. I just think you have to deny a lot of official statements and other written statements from a lot of people involved in her life and who were directly involved with UT during that time (including an eye-witness to the initial event) in order to see that the Mannings were not culpable in destroying an innocent person's career. He just gets to carry on as if nothing happened, who benefits financially and otherwise from a squeaky clean image, and she doesn't get that luxury.
