I've watched some playoff games this year and the team defense is terrible. I'm also not a fan of Golden State chucking up 3s all the time. I actually wouldn't mind if the NBA elminated the three pointer.
LED roof was a dumb idea. Fact is, nobody on the ground (or in the air during the day) would ever see it. Also, how the hell would an LED roof work in Detroits winter weather? What if we got 2 feet of snow? It just never made sense to me. I could see trying it in LA or Phoenix, but Detroit?!
The Wings will never play at the Palace especially not with a brand new arena where Ilitch controls 100% of the profits (don't forget all the parking revenues). They have season ticket holders from Windsor who will never drive all the way up there. When the new arena was in the planning stages, Olympia sent out a survey asking people if they would attend Wings games at the Palace (this was when Ilitch was thinking about buying the Pistons) and a strong majority said no.
