If we keep Jackson and get rid of Jennings. Jennings was playing better than just about any point guard in the east before he went down and Jackson stinks.
Utah for opener, not an alum what is best option for tickets? I don't mind scalping and tickets always go down closer to game time but I'm up for suggestions
Play the 3 do you just mean on defense? Because GRIII never played the 4 on offense. We run a 4 out 1 in offense. I'm confused when people refer to him playing the 4? Sure he was guarding 4's but that's a little different than saying he was playing a 4 himself.
They made Penn State use their last time- out after a defensive dead ball call. These refs are cracking me up although I wish they had that they may have scored td.
I also grew up with Tim Shaw and his family and have known now for a couple months that he has ALS, amazing man and beautiful family. He's a fighter and always will be, if your talking about UP Bible Camp, I spent my entire childhood there, who are you? Kenny VanRyn here.
There is no Detroit Pistons without Zeke. He is not only the greatest Piston ever but one of the greatest basketball players pound for pound that has ever walked the face of this earth.
We have been living in mediocrity for over the last 60 some odd years. Right now I only feel bad for the fans who didn't want a coach just like Lloyd and Bo in regards to how they coach not to lose rather than playing to win, but this is what most of you wanted. Michigan arrogance has been a crutch for quite some time and doesn't seem to be going anywhere soon.
That is the first and only and last thing I said to anyone today about the game. Easy. I'm entitled to speak my mind whether you think I'm an idiot or not. I just don't think Hoke is that good of a coach. Think he recruits well, has good relationships with his players, seems like a really cool guy. But in my opinion I don't thick he has done much to prove his worth as a coach. Shoot me.
Right before the game I will be finishing my bacon, sausage, eggs, and hash browns. After our victory I will be grilling salmon and eating Caesar salad potatoes and garlic bread.
Mattison is a very legit coach. When I watch his defense play you can tell he is always on point and gets the most out of his players. Borges makes me sick to my stomach. I don't care about Hoke wearing a head set or anything. I know he is a players coach and I like him. I just don't see him as being a cut your heart out type of coach. He did not inherit a disaster at all. And I think he (because he is the head coach and has to oversee everything) blew a few games for us the last two seasons. But we haven't won but one national title in 60 some years. We have lived in mediocrity for long long time. I'm just not one of these M fans who wants a big ten title. I want the national title so it figures we would have hired him.
He has recruited well in his short time. His coaching on the other hand doesn't make me jump up and down like a lot of people. I'm sure some person will say I'm an idiot for saying that and hopefully I read it and get a good chuckle.
I wanted to at least chime in, state the obvious and say there are several more differences here with the Pistons-Bulls, Heat-Bulls. Just a couple I wanted to mention is that the Detroit Pistons were playing with hall of fame players and one of the greatest players to ever play the game of basketball...Isiah "Zeke" Thomas. They also beat the Bulls for several years before the Bulls outlasted us with the famous walk off the court situation in 91. These Bulls will not beat the Heat nor are they playing with anyone right now that will even sniff the hall of fame. That being said, I hate everything there is about the city of Chicago (except a dog at wrigley but not at the counter at a cart inside the park) and I hope they always get their asses beat in every sport there is. I hate the Bulls and Bears the same, the Cubs are shortly thereafter. Frick the Blackhawks, frick em all.....
Man Isiah was pound for pound one of the greatest to ever lace em up. I'm 32 and the first time I ever cried over sports was when he threw the inbounds pass that Bird stole and yes underneath to DJ lays it in. My dad turned George on the old wooden radio we had as I watched Vinnie hit the shot for the back to back. What a great great team that was. A cast of characters for sure. They competed so hard, love those dudes. I don't care if anyone reads this, just good to write and think about those boys, Rodman and Laimbeer cracked me up even when I was that young, the way they ran, Rodman with the high knees and Laimbeer with that trot he had. I could talk about them all but if someone is reading this I'll spare you, if you got to experience that and you are a pistons fan, cheers. RIP Daddy Rich.
Based on money I'm assuming. Not everyone thinks that way. If I was him and just lost the national championship game I would come back no doubt even if I was a lottery pick. I'm assuming he leaves but not everyone in the world thinks so highly of money.
This was a well known story at the time. Big part of the reason he didn't take the job because Bo came out and said this is a football school and the basketball coach should never make more than the football coach and so on.
