Harbaugh showing up less than Harbaugh showing up less than a week after his wife gave birth to his 7th child and bringing his own freakin daughter along to the trip along w half the staff and this is solomon's response? If that doesnt convince him then nothing will & hes taking that $EC cash instead.
This team is so soft and This team is so soft and outside of a cple guys the individual defense is fucking awful. I wonder if Ward has the guts to make a change or if hes satisfied w mediocrity.
If its true, then its a great day for UM.

MIles is a top notch coach, a sweet recruiter, and his players love him.  People think he was a bit shady in the SEC but what coach in that conference isnt shady?  I think that he will clean up UM, bring back respect, defense, and the fear that opp once felt when they played Michigan.  He wont be here for the 15 years that we wanted JH to be, but I believe that he'll have enough time to groom a successor worthy of the position.   I just hope that the Lloyd/Brady Hoke camp doesnt do anything to sabotoge this like last time.  Go blue,

Great read! For those RR

Great read! For those RR koolaid drinkers who are in denial, try giving it a read.

Even if RR stays, next year

Even if RR stays, next year we swap out Wisconsin and PSU for Minnesota and NW.  They are still gauranteed to lose 4 games: Iowa, MSU, OSU, NU and will finish the season 8-4.   You RR apologists will call that progress, which it isnt b/c we swap out two tougher teams.  Also, If we bring back RR next year, it will be the last year on his contract.  If he doesnt get an extension until later in the season when UM actually plays tougher teams, then it will probably kill recruiting for the 2012 year.  Having him as a lame duck coach next year doesnt do anyone any good, and I highly doubt that Brandon will give him an extension before the season begins.  If he only improves by one win next year, and that win is due to an easier schedule than his contract won't be renewed and we'll be back at where we are now.  If RR thinks the pressure is high now, wait until next year when he's coaching for an extension with a still very young defense, and poor special teams.   Hopefully Brandon realizes that and will just make the move to JH, and he will accept the job, b/c its going to be two years before RR can even think about feilding a good D and I'd rather have a 2nd year coach take UM into Dallas stadium in 2012 instead of a 1st year coach after RR is let go next year.  Keeping RR around without an extension is going to create an absolute circus for all of next year.  IF JH accepts the job, then make the move now.  Its going to be two years either way.  Also for all of those crying about Standford losing to the a spread oriented Ducks team  this year, don't forget they killed them last year at Standford, and since Harbaugh has been the coach, Standford has beaten every Pac Ten team at least once.  Anyone who plays at Autzen Stadium is going to have an extremely hard time coming away with a win.  If RR is kept for another year can we say at the end of November that he's beaten every Big Ten team at least once?  I highly doubt it with all the talent coming back at OSU and MSU.

Sooner or later your patience

Sooner or later your patience for D & less TO will run out.   Could care less about accumulating points on this site.  I've been a fan for over 30 years, & this is the worse I've ever seen this team ever perform.  It's amazing how many peoples standards have lowered.  I supported RR the first 2 years, & I'd rather nip this in the bud instead of blindly follow a guy who has never had his offense succeed in a major conference (acc & big east don't count), a guy who is constantly deflecting blame, & refuses to be accountable for this teams perfomance.  How much longer will u guys make excuses?  How many more times will Gerg cowardly dodge a postgame presser?  Wisc & OSU will kill UM, we'll finish 7-6 after a bowl game.  Next year we'll have more underclassmen on D underperforming.  If this was an employee in any other profession, he'd been fired before the company incurred too many losses, how many more hits to the UM brand will it take?  OSU's AD had grossly outperformed UM over the last decade, havent any of you noticed?  20 years of producing stud QB prospects, all pro corners, & solid defenses for this?  Progress doesnt always require drastic change!

Progress? lol

The only positive today was that Purdue is a worse football team than UM. I felt like I was watching a bloopers reel out there today. Rodriguez's qb moves were desperate as I've ever seen. The only difference between this year and last year are that Illinois and Purdue are much worse this year. This UM team is awful, the spread is a gimmick offense, Offensive gurus don't have a long lifespan (Martz, John L. Smith) Sooner or later all of you RR sympathizers are going to realize that this guy and his entire philosophy is not a good fit for UM or the Big Ten. I hope David Brandon realizes how bad this team is and brings home Jim Harbaugh to return UM back to the top. I can gaurantee that if RR makes it through this year that next year, all of you are going to keep on makeing excuses that the D is too young, that the qb is hurt all the time, etc. Spread offenses in the Rain, and Snow don't work so well do they? Imagine that. At least I'm so numb to the pain of watching this team that today I didnt even get angry, I just laughed at how with 3 minutes left Purdue still had a chance to win this game! It wasnt that our D made strides today, its that Purdue's offense sucks, really really sucks, their offense decimated by injuries sucks. Did you see how many of their guys were wide open and that awful qb missed them. They ran the same wheelroute as last week, three times in a row today and each time the guy was wide open, and each time that awful qb missed him. All this win did was extend the horror that is the RR era at Michigan. Bump Elliot's family must be relieved!

I don't understand why we couldn't have waited to extend him an offer. I'm not saying that he does not deserve a scholarship, but why not wait to see how the other higher rated recruits pan out first? Michigan is competing against Kent State, BGSU, and Air Force! I'm sure that if RR waited a little longer and kept in contact that he could have offered him in January and he would have still committed. For those of you who argue that RR knows something more about this kid than the recruiting sites, what about DT John Hankins? RR had a great opportunity to offer Hankins, who is a life long M fan that plays at an M pipeline. Instead RR waits, offers every 2 or 3 star in the country, then Oklahoma, Florida, and O$U offer him, and then RR finally extends the offer and has to play catchup with a kid in his own backyard! I hope that Vinopal succeeds, but with the number of available scholarships, and the immediate needs on one of the worst M defenses in the history of the program can Michigan really afford to extend December offers to guys that really should be a Plan C or D? That Defense needs to improve dramatically in the next 2 years or else RR will not be back in 2012. Also, I understand that Michigan is not entitled to every 5 star recruit in the country, but how many sleepers will RR offer in each class - they currently have 5 "sleepers": Dileo, Carvin Johnson, Cornelius Jones, Vinopal, and Willamson. Will this be a trend that will continue, or will RR stop offering out hundreds of scholarships once Michigan starts winning again? Michigan has the tradition, education, fan base, and facilities that permit them to compete with the elite programs for recruits. Depth is great, but what happens if Michigan gets one or two highly rated safetys in next years class who are ready to contribute immediately? Does Vinopal ever see the field, and how many times can you make someone switch positions? Of those 5 sleepers does anyone really think that Michigan could not have still gotten them just as easily in January or February? Go Blue!
