well done sir. Love, love, love the local radio with the national video.
Have you heard of Grass Valley Edius Pro 7? (http://www.grassvalley.com/products/edius_pro_7)
Local guy I work with has mastered it, using HD video footage from the recent (2011+ forward games). It's a bit expensive, but I think we could get a Kickstarter going to get this funded. I'd throw $100 in.
What software are presently using now for edits? Have you done a game with HD video and local radio?

Are they new? Cool concept for interviewing players/coaches.

they could be giving the BTN channel away in particular markets...You could pick up an extra random 100-200K viewers from these markets, which is decent advertising dollars (guessing here)

I am embarassed by the greed that has hijacked my Alma mater. What is wrong with these people?

I was in DC this past weekend and went here - I really liked it, food was great.
A bit smaller in size (~50 total seating, maybe?). I'd love to go back for a game.

this times one million. I know we pat ourselves on the back for underwriting all these non-revenue sports, but keep in mind that is underwritten by football's success, which in turn is underwritten by the school. If football falls off the tracks for an extended period of time, the school will need to step in.
Yes, while the AD manages its own budget, the school has acted as a backstop on numerous occassions. I believe the operating debt of the AD (short term financing for construction projects) has the school written in as a co-signer to lower interest rates, and I know during the 2010 season, many of the suites were 'occupied' by University organs.
like Brian said, DB is just a bro writing a check, nothing more. I will tip my cap to his fundraising ability, getting Stephen Ross to write a $100 million dollar check was impressive though.

If you combine Apple, Google, and Microsoft's market capitilizations you're either slightly north of $1 Trillion dollars, or pretty darn close.
All three have tried to negotiate a-la-carte programming deals, and failed. Even with their financial resources and technical expertise, they still haven't been able to crack a-la-carte programming.
It's just not possible at this time; everyone in the current chain of distribution (providers, content producers, etc.) is making too much money. Granted there are outliers who may be struggling, but if you're in the current basic cable distribution framework, chances are you're doing pretty well.
You're going to see an increase in the number of distribution fights like the one between CBS and Time Warner that's going on right now. As the number of video subscribers cut the cord (a small number, but growing) networks are going to fight over a smaller and smaller consumer base. The Cable/TeleCos will keep increasing prices until they can't. And then they'll start capping the monthly GB usage consumption to combat over-the-top programming coming from Netflix and other streaming services.
Physical access is still king, and always will be.
On the topic of providers, here's an interesting statistic -
"AT&T and Verizon dominate a wireless industry that is already heavily concentrated – more so than the auto, oil, or banking industries. The largest two wireless carriers control almost 70 percent of industry revenues, compared to the top two auto makers controlling 35 percent, the top two oil firms controlling 25 percent and the two largest banks controlling only 20 percent of their industry revenues. This state of affairs is bad for consumers, and it is bad for the vendors and service providers who make up the wireless ecosystem."
To combat rising access costs, I have a grandfathered unlimited data account from Verizon that I use as my primary internet connection (I tether my iPhone to a router that provides Wifi access to other devices at my residence), and a Slingbox stationed at my parent's house to sling TV to my Macbook in my apartment. I buy my phones at the unsubsidized price, off contract to retain my unlimited data account through Verizon.

there is no 'All-22' game film being utilized in the NCAA.
They use a 50-yd. shot, and a north/south end zone shot. This video is traded over a series of tubes between schools.

"If you are a medical professional in metro Detroit, and especially in the city proper, prepare for a dramatic reduction in revenue."
I'd say that Vanguard Health agrees with your assessment http://www.crainsdetroit.com/article/20130624/NEWS/130629955/dmc-owner-vanguard-to-be-acquired-by-dallas-based-tenet-healthcare

Choice quote from an article earlier;
"Q: Will retiree health care be affected?
A: Yes. Orr has proposed ending city-funded health care plans for retirees. He wants retirees to shift to Medicare or the exchanges that are being created under the Affordable Care Act."
Vanguard couldn't find the door quick enough.
|1 year 4 weeks ago||Let us please stop this Northwestern nonsense, I beg you.||
Let's look at Northwestern's (relevant) B1G schedule before they play Michigan
Oct. 5th vs. Ohio
Oct. 12th @ Wisconsin
Nov. 2nd @ Nebraska
Sorry folks, I don't see Northwestern winning any of these games. Maybe the Wisconsin game. They're going to be deflated when they play us, with nothing to play for.
Michigan wins, big. Raback it.

now that the low hanging fruit has been picked, the real work can begin.
The Universe believes in encryption. It is easier to encrypt information than to decrypt it.
If this sounds cryptic that's because...it is ;)
You'll see something by September 1st. Stay tuned.

I kind of anticipated this. Fortunately, there are some easy workarounds going forward.
Everyone needs to save everything that they upload. At the end of the academic calendar year, a consolidated torrent with everything that has been uploaded can be created. Everything for that season is contained within that torrent. That way multiple people have copies of the archive.
While they can take down torrents/accounts ad infinitum, the URL on MGoVideo.com will never change, since the embed to where the video is stored on YouTube can easily be altered.
Anyone know contact emails for Wolverine Devotee and Wolverine Historian? Especially for the older material, I'd like to begin consolidating and taking account of what source material we do have.
Shoot me an email if you're out there - karpodiem at gmail dot com.

This is what my initial research into this has found as well. I can't believe I'm going to be forced to drop $250 on a out-of-production Sony radio so that can pick up WWJ 950 AM in HD (97.1-2 carries WWJ, but I'm not sure if they broadcast the games or continue with local news). Lots of cheaper HD radios can do FM, very few that I've found can do AM.
