Watching it frame-by-frame, Scholfield gets his block but Kalis is overwhelmed by the OSU rusher. That rusher is in Devin's face and he has to unload to dileo because he doesn't have time to review other options.

It looks like the relationship is an exponential decline that a linear regression doesn't fully capture. You might try converting the Y variable to a logarithmic scale. This should increase the r-squared.

I was in the student section for the '69 game. I won't reprise the game itself but thought the board would enjoy this anecdote. After celebrating wildly in the stands after the game our group repaired to my apartment at 720 S. State for further lubrication. As we partied on we heard a great commotion outside the windows facing the street. Looking out we saw fans coming up the middle of State Street carrying a goal post. I think the one from the south end zone. They proceeded to deposit it in the Diag where it stayed for a day or two as a fitting exclamation point for "the greatest victory in the history of the world."

I would have hoped to hear a little contrition. And some recognition that while the defense played reasonably well the offense in the second half was miserable. Perhaps post-game pressers are not a good idea.

A Borges press conference is like a surgeon elegantly describing what went wrong during your operation.

I was living in South Quad at that time. We heard that something important was going to happen at the Sigma Chi house. (At that time it was the first house south of the Union.) As I joined a huge group of students, the Spartan headgear was brought out and displayed to great acclaim.
