gotta toughen up!!!!!
Watched that movie last night that started a mini-kick of stupid but hilarious comedies including Half Baked today and probably Zoolander later tonight.

It'd have to be "last name Ford or Ilitch or Meijer" or something like that.

This is a complete list of more than two Heisman winners within sixteen years.
ND- 5 (1943-59)
W all know how things were with the media and ND back in the day, Ohio State won three titles during that run, Army having two in 1945 and 46 isn't exactly devoid of historical meaning, and USC is, well, USC. Those were elite programs in their era, in addition to being lucky enough to have a transcendent skill position player to point to. Not knocking Michigan tradition, but it has been a long time since Michigan has had a run like the bookending dates posted here, and even so those programs needed a good bit of luck to get that Heisman love.

My only point was to describe a scenario where it's not just throwing snow, much like the OP describes a scenario that isn't just throwing snow.

Since 1997? We had two in fifty four years going into 1997.

Not to take this to an absurdity, but if your significant other/child/grandmother tried to get to their car and was continually pelted in the face with snowballs you would be just fine with that? If you left a bar with a woman (significant other or whoever) and some guy on the sidewalk hit her in the face with a snowball from like three feet away, you'd be just fine with that and laugh? Same situation with a child and Cedar Point or your grandmother and church or bingo or something? All laughs?

Him and I did the same thing, although his comment on Stay Classy Sparty is suspiciously missing now...

Sorry if anyone was still commenting in it, but felt like this one should come down now.

but would anyone be proud of being in that video with the professor? Ignoring all of the other stuff (mob mentality, laws, ect), throwing a snowball in someone's face is a dick move and it's amplified by being significantly bigger than the other person and having 20-25 people looking on.

Already had one or two threads today about the events in East Lansing last night.

Can't wait to see the 2013 version of their division championship rings, here's last year:

None of that self-Q&A using feelings you believe Brian holds has anything to do with why the thread was taken down. It was a toxic OP with toxic comments. We never let those stand, excepting a pretty compelling reason like "it's a post game thread".
|2 days 5 hours ago||I didn't take it down, but I would have.||
First, to the very best of my knowledge, Brian hasn't said that, so I'm not sure what you're agreeing with.
Second, I'm almost entirely positive that "don't post a look at me, I was right thread and then be combative in the comments" has always been a rule. If not, consider it one from here on out. It's exactly this kind of argument picking, combative and negative posting that is making MGoBoard a tough place right now.

Pretty sure this is the longest non-Michigan thread in site history, non-Usama bin Laden division.
|3 days 2 hours ago||Yeah.||
My "unacceptable" regarding Michigan football is about as worthwhile as it is regarding the weather or a Supreme Court ruling.
I will be disappointed if Michigan isn't in the hunt for roses in November, and upset if it looks like Hoke didn't bring an elite level staff into 2014. Also we need to start winning some games against OSU; it's getting to the point where they're a must-win game in a program defining sense rather than season defining sense.
|3 days 3 hours ago||I haven't been following it||
I haven't been following it all that closely (what's the point?) but I believe the current margin in the computers is something like .02, with #3 Auburn playing #5 Missouri and #2 OSU playing #10 MSU. If it comes down to the voters, Auburn rolling and OSU winning an epically ugly game just might put them on the outside.
Like I said, though, I haven't been reading any of the "experts" and I'm decidedly not an expert. It would definitely be maximum chaos, in any event.

it certainly seems that this is the case, but that's not anything I'm more qualified to speak to than anyone else who reads the site and everything else.
I have a few things that M-Wolverine asked me to pass on, and then I'm done with it for the thread and the forseeable future.
He asked me to let everyone know that:

Sounds like Brian is taking the steps he needs to take. The user moderation system needs to be fixed and setting a different tone/expectation for all of us to follow- whether that's me and LSA or everyone on Brian's blog generally- is definitely a very good thing. If someone asked whether I think MGoBlog/MGoBoard would be better or worse in the next three months than it has been the last three, I would point to both of those as reasons to be optimistic.
About the execution of it...I don't think it will come as much of a surprise to anyone that I'm not in favor of banning M-Wolverine. I'm not saying I agree with everything he's ever posted or that his position on the Brandon Brown hire isn't decidedly negative and vocal, but I'm 100% with Seth about throwing the baby out with the bathwater, so to speak. M-Wolverine, whatever you thought of his internet persona (he definitely had his moments both ways), is a good guy that honestly does care. I'll miss him.
|4 days 2 hours ago||No.||
If it's some random troll the account just gets caved and is probably lost in the great abyss, if it's an actual poster Brian gets emailed about it, but it's not published anywhere on the site. That's how it works with the mods anyway.

Did anyone other than pee-wee/bantam hockey players watch Mystery, Alaska? Cool movie, for sure.
