that's unfortunate, but at least the interest is there on both sides

Meyer had eighteen returning starters, more than half were seniors. The depth chart currently shows six senior returning starters for Harbaugh.
Sagarin had them at the 60th toughest schedule in FBS that year, playing NTM, UCF, Cal and UAB in non-conference play. Their ranked opponents were #20 MSU, #21 Nebraska and #20 Michigan. Things might play out that way for M this year, but I sincerely doubt it.
|5 hours 7 min ago||True.||
But 6-7 is still a win better than M was last year, they had more players drafted than M likely will, and they were playing under a coach that looked at a QB competition of Joe Bauserman, Kenny Guiton and Braxton Miller and chose Bauserman.

Nippert has this kind of grandstand in one of the end zones and he was up high throwing snowballs into the Pitt student section, which everyone took in stride and they were lobbing them back at him. Then he started throwing snowballs at he Pitt sideline and the cops told him to knock it off. I believe he threw one in the cops direction and kept throwing at the players.

I think Harbaugh wants more of a jungle lion diet.

He said there's no way the Big Ten is going at it alone.
I'm with Hollis on this one. Improving academic performance is a worthwhile goal and hopefully this leads to a broader discussion. I don't think a "year of readiness" is a good plan, though.

Unranked, 4-1 PSU is not a good opponent. The game aired on ESPN2.

I said that a better schedule would have brought down the number of giveaways. I'm not seeing any connection between your replies and my posts.
|2 days 6 hours ago||Sorry for the dose of reality...||
But selling the same amount of tickets for UConn and Appalachian State would have decreased the amount of giveaways by almost 17%.
|2 days 21 hours ago||No argument there.||
But the whole "having an AD that schedules The Horror II" thing definitely didn't help anyone sell tickets.

Eh, he isn't the one who made the schedule, which I'm assuming was a big part of the problem. Not saying performance didn't have anything to do with it obviously, but a big time home opponent would have brought that number down some.

Maybe I'm not remembering right, but wasn't their PP really good for at least a couple of the past years? 2013 and 2014 or something like that?

Oddly enough, special teams seem like the only actual strength for Sparty these past few years.

Pitt claims nine titles, Syracuse one. Each has one Heisman trophy winner, Pitt has 50 consensus All-Americans, Syracuse 12.
Mostly replying to say that the movie based on Ernie Davis' life, The Express, is definitely worth watching.

It doesn't excuse everything, but Pitt has gone through the same number of coaches in the past 5.5 years that Michigan has since 1990.
I don't know if the program will ever be what it was from the nineteen teens to early eighties, but I would wager that the past five years of futility will be seen as an anolomy in future decades.

Make this spreadsheet. Write that TPS report. Get coffee, turn around, take this memo off the printer, return to desk.

The article says the wolverine was being moved from Norway to Alaska, which seems like a place with a "lot" of wild wolverines and not too many zoos.
|3 days 22 hours ago||I wasn't trying to argue for||
I wasn't trying to argue for or against the larger points, only mentioning that all of them are at least ostensibly considered by the guys and gals who are responsible for the big picture. Not so much "trust the regents" as "the arguments you're making should be voiced in their direction", since the posts above seem to focus on the administration within the department.
|4 days 2 hours ago||I realize you haven't claimed||
I realize you haven't claimed otherwise, but the AD needs approval from the Regents for each annual budget. Using your business analogy, the board of directors of the parent company has already approved every dime being spent on these facilities, not just the CEO of the subsidiary.
|4 days 4 hours ago||Yeah.||
An indoor track is short enough that keeping speed through a turn can be difficult, banking the turn helps alleviate that issue. I'd assume every Big Ten school with an indoor track does.

Forget fired for harassment, he'd have been (rightfully) charged for the Goldfinger scene in the barn with Pussy Galore if that happened today. Bond seems to reflect the times on everything, sometimes translating and sometimes not.
I do love the 007 series for the most part. Also want to add that Inglorious Basterds and Djengo Unchained are supposed to form 2/3 of a loose trilogy and I'm definitely waiting on the third, and as a kid Mighty Ducks was the greatest thing ever.
