I really hope nobody takes this as political or saying anything about the war, but if you look Baghdad Bob up he's got a kind of crazy life story where he went from low level party guy to being on TV in front of who knows how many people almost instantly. The US captured him and released him almost immediately because nobody thought he had any insider info and he ended up working as a talking head for a big news outlet in the middle east a couple years later.

Several careers are fucked if Harbaugh isn't announced soon, and I just can't fathom those people going to 100 without very real info,
I've been really cautious but M just landed a guy way out of their league. Celebration time.
|13 hours 45 min ago||This was before the change.||
Also, Dwight did say all of those things but at different times. He said "I never get sick. And I don't celebrate any major holidays" in 3/12 Traveling Salesman and used "jackhammer" as an adjective to describe himself in 3/14 The Return.
Drunk recency bias applies times one hundred but I'd go with a Harbaugh quote or "all I've got is beef with those that violate me, I shall annihilate thee" as the tagline, although Harbaugh is coming back from Cali Cali.

I don't know anything about this situation but UCLA starts a new quarter 1/5 and it looks like add/drop ends 1/16* and then again in March with the dates 3/25 and 4/10.
*Remember Gardner enrolled on the last day of add/drop because Inkster took forever to approve his early graduation.

Everybody should be, I still can't believe it. I'll see if I do after another round.

Because it fucking sucks for the fucking mods if people post bad fucking words. Duh.

that if you were in a room with Hitler, bin Laden and Buckeye football and had a gun with two bullets you'd shoot Buckeye football twice?

To anyone who gives a #@%& that it's a Charles Woodson venture I highly recommend grabbing a bottle of the Sauvignon Blanc. It's great for being California (I prefer New Zealand and Chile for Sauvignon Blancs) and won't break the bank for $20. As of three weeks ago they had it stocked at Plum Market in Ann Arbor.
I gifted a bottle of the Cabernet and am waiting to hear feedback when they drink it, but Wine Spectator just put the most recent vintage in their top 100.

If that doesn't help just leave a comment there and someone will definitely try to get you on the right track.

His playbook at Stanford was massive; they had 350 plays in it and he's supposedly added more than a few updates with the 49ers. I'm guessing he'll run a lot of everything.
|18 hours 27 min ago||You did say recent, and 1994 isn't all that recent.||
Yost was the most successful coach in M history and didn't use winged helmets, Crisler invented them and didn't put stickers on his player's helmets. 2/3 Heisman winners didn't have helmet stickers and neither did 11/11 national championship teams. No disrespect to Bo, but I wouldn't say helmet stickers were vital to M success and I wouldn't call Moeller's teams recent.
My dislike is just aesthetics so I won't pretend to tell anyone how to think, but I love seeing the wings, stickers not so much.
Also, not that it's important but the Denard picture was taken at the Sugar Bowl in Hoke's first season.

Couple more recent photos of M success, sans helmet stickers.

One OSU blog claimed to have a copy of Tressel's sticker criteria and published a picture of it a while back. I've never seen anything like it leaked from a Bo/Moeller team.
I don't know if Harbaugh would bring them back or not, but I'm firmly in the "do not want" camp on helmet stickers.

Great call on Red. There might be two Michigan coaches with professional coach of the year awards three days from now.

Read what he retweeted right below it. It's a joke about @umichfootball wishing Harbaugh a happy birthday four days ago and now doing the same with Hemingway.

John Cooper. Paul Brown (tie). Harry Kipke. Paul Bixler. Wes Fesler.
There are eight of twenty-one without first year wins since Kipke/Schmitd were on the sidelines, assuming Fickell counts.

|1 day 14 hours ago||But emotional ties to college||
But emotional ties to college are just as personal as "winning at the highest level" and anything in the NFL's favor. The only two nearly objective factors are job description and salary, and in a situation where M is looking to write a big enough check those two are a wash (assuming he would get a lot of personnel control in an NFL deal). There's not a way to quantify "coaching Tom Brady" vs "office in Schembechler Hall" or any of the other choices a coach with offers from both would need to consider.
If all we're talking about is why there's a perception that NFL is a step up then I agree with what you're saying in this comment, but that's not what was being argued everywhere in the thread.
|1 day 22 hours ago||My point is that with equal||
My point is that with equal job titles and equal pay, there's nothing objectively better about being an NFL coach than there is being a college coach. I definitely understand the widespread perception that one job is superior to another, but without knowing how Harbaugh thinks that's not really relevant.
To put it another way, I'd be living a completely different life than Warren Buffet if I had his resume and bank account, but good luck explaining how a Manhattan penthouse and an island in the Caribbean are objectively superior to his place in Omaha if that's what he enjoys.
|1 day 22 hours ago||I don't think it's obvious at||
I don't think it's obvious at all. He'll have, for all intents and purposes, the same job description (assuming the rumors about him wanting more front office control are true) in either place next year and it looks like Michigan has offered him more money than an NFL franchise will.
Anything beyond that is 100% personal preference and there are arguments to be made either way, none of which make a difference unless we know what Harbaugh thinks.

Hutch is the softball coach, are you thinking of Mary Sue Coleman?
|2 days 13 hours ago||When this thread ends up||
When this thread ends up coming around age is probably important to note too. I can't remember any Bo/Moeller games and grew up with Carr on the sidelines.
|2 days 13 hours ago||I upvoted you, not because I||
I upvoted you, not because I agree (I don't) but that would be a pretty cool thread, especially if we could see which way the board leans. Plenty of talk about it in the past, most recently in this thread.
