4 weeks 6 days ago	I understand that	I know the title is bad and should be changed. My point is that it's a minor inconvenience that people make way too big of a deal about. Point the offending OP to the FAQ, politely let them know their title is uninformative, and move on to discussing the content of the post. Being an asshole to somebody just discourages users from posting and makes the community seem petty and dickish. Just my opinion though.
4 weeks 6 days ago	Yeah, we know	The point is that whenever somebody posts a bad title, people spend the entire comments section bitching about it rather than discussing the content. It's one bad title on the board, it takes one comment to let OP know they should probably change it.  Either way, it's literally 30 seconds out of your day to click the thread and see what the deal is. I know everyone who reads this blog is super important though so I understand if people can't be bothered to read a one-sentence thread (never mind that they find the time to write a snarky reply, making the comments unreadable). I could see people complaining if the entire board was full of bad titles, but people blow this way out of proportion.  I don't see how it's being "courteous" (that is what this is about, right?) to derail some poor guy's (or gal's) thread just because they made an honest mistake.

But it is okay to shit up a perfectly good discussion about a recuit bitching about the title? It's not like OP was purposefully vague to get clicks. It's a pretty innocent mistake. Meanwhile, the thread is unreadable.

1 year 1 week ago	Agreed	I don't have the same historical perspective as you, but it's pretty clear that the band director is going for nice sounds over loudness. It's a fine philosophy, but college marching bands (AFAIK) aren't notorious for playing melodiously, they're notorious for playing loudly (not that the two are necessarily always mutually exclusive). It's always slightly embarassing when opposing bands drastically drown out our own from the other side of the field.

1 year 12 weeks ago	I guess I don't	see the point in hanging on to Kindl and Quincey (who's our youngest D now other than Kindl I believe). Commodore has no trade value and any worthwhile forward will take more than just Kindl. That said, I wouldn't be surprised or upset to see them hang onto him. I personally like Kindl a lot, but I wouldn't mind seeing him moved to add another scoring threat.
