“He was on the other side of the court, screaming: ‘Good shot, Kev!’” Durant said, shaking his head in delight. “I’m thinking, this guy’s an All-American type of teammate right there.”

This topic is only political because anti-vaccers say it is. I'm glad most readers of this blog are smart enough to see it for what really is.

I had to log in for the first time in quite a while to say that this app is outstanding. In the words of coach Carr, "tremendous."

This is fantastic. I know Brian is fond of charts, but it really is amazing how much easier it is to digest data when it is visualized in a graph. I particularly like having each game stacked on top of the previous so that differences are more readily appreciated.

This is really great news. My son has a soccer game at 12 so I was really crossing my fingers hoping that this was going to be a 3:30 game.

Wouldn't it be great poetic justice for the Tigers to shut down the house of horrors know as the Metrodome with a resounding blowout victory?

The ESPN author of this piece was on WTKA with Sam Webb this morning talking about it. She was choking up just talking about what a sad, yet inspiring, story this is. Sounds like it will be pretty good.

I think CBS has the Fla/LSU game. I seem to remember them advertising the return of Tebow next week.
|4 years 51 weeks ago||We're probably out||
It's not like it really matters at this point, though. What's really troubling is ND is probably getting back in.
I find it very freeing that a single loss doesn't completely destroy our season and I don't have to constantly worry about our AP ranking.

I was just about to blow all of your minds with my grand unifying theory of Michigan Football diary. Now I guess you will have to wait for me to make a few more trivial comments to random posts.
Seriously though, even though I probably won't be posting a diary, I think this is a good rule. I always thought diaries should be higher quality and not entrusted to the inexperienced.

This is great, I love it.
Would present-day T.J. Duckett disappear, then?
|5 years 1 week ago||Rackham||
The reading room in Rackham is amazingly quiet - no electronics allowed. I'm not sure if it is exclusively for grad students, but it's not like there is someone checking your ID at the door.

But, I thought suspensions were not announced until Thursday afternoon.
|5 years 1 week ago||Unfortunately, the crowd||
Unfortunately, the crowd often does not get really loud until the other team has broken the huddle and is already at the line. I know that this is the most critical time to be loud, but the chant is a good way to stir the crowd into a frenzy before and up to the third down play.
Aren't coordinated cheers what make Yost so much fun? It's nice to see some efforts in this regard at the football games as well.
|5 years 1 week ago||Put the towels to use||
Wouldn't it be great if the entire stadium did this "intimidation" chant with 100,000 towels waving at the opponent before their 3rd down play? It might really help get the crowd really loud when the other team is still in their huddle instead of just when they get up to the line. Hopefully this cheer will catch on outside the student section.
Also, I agree that this is much better than chanting "you suck" when the band plays temptation or jingling keys.
|5 years 1 week ago||I disagree||
I like it. Regardless of whether or not you believe in hexes working, I think it does a pretty good job of getting the crowd pumped up for the critical third down play. A much better job than jangling keys on the "key play".
|5 years 1 week ago||Re: The random "Ohh!: cheer||
This seems like the best answer to me. Although, even after the first two games, I have a hard time telling if everyone is shouting "Go" to pump up the defense or "ohh" to jinx the opponent. Regardless, it seems to help get the noise up. I prefer this to the "key play" by far. It would be great for this cheer to catch on throughout the stadium. Would be really intimidating, especially if everyone had a towel.
